Hi DrDele, I am a graduate of Nursing Science from OAU and several of my friends have registered with nursing council in UK, Canada and US. One is presently registering with New Zealand Nursing Council. A senior colleague who had diploma from School of Nursing , Osogbo has also registered with Australia Nursing council. So your wife won't have any problem with her registration, she'll only have to go through the bridging program. Hope this helps.
DrDele:
Hello guys,
Thank you for your informations as usual.
Has anyone (or. Does someone knows anyone that) Registered directly from Nigeria with the Nursing and midwifery board of Australia. I just wanted to know what the timeline is like and if registration with them is doable as a Nigerian trained nurse with Nigerian degree.

Ps- I found out if my wife registered with AHPRA (Australian health practitioners Regulation Agency) then she can apply to ANMAC (Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation council) for modified skills assessment for permanent migration.

Modified: I ask the question because my wife is not a suitable applicant due to education equivalent as stated in the attached screen shots.

Hello bigm101, if your course is not under svp, your sponsor must be a close relative. Note: An eligible close relative for Australian student visa includes:

  the applicant's partner
  the applicant's parents
  the applicant's grandparents
  the applicant's brothers or sisters
an uncle or aunt of the applicant who is: an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen and usually resident in Australia.
All the best.

Good evening Nairalanders smiley Happy new month to everyone smiley my name is Abiola and I have been a member of nairaland since 2013. Infact , nairaland helped me to secure UAE visa without hassle and I wanna say a big thank you.
Now, I am back from UAE and in Nigeria . I applied to a college in Sydney and I was given admission. I have paid my tuition and OSHC and I have my eCoE. But , there is something that I am so confused about .
My Uncle is sponsoring me but he is not using his personal account , but he's using his coperative account . So, I would like to ask everyone with experience about coperative account , what would he state or write in the letter of sponsorship to be willing to sponsor me with the coperative account ?
Secondly, my uncle is using his friend's fixed deposit account as co-sponsor . Please, I'm applying for VET 572 visa and my intake is Feb 02, I have all the documents ready but I want to know what to write as a reason for the coperative to be sponsoring me or the relationship I have with them.
I'm open to all advices , please
Best regards

plz fellas I need your help on this.

I'm currently processing my masters application to Griffith university through BCIE as my agent.

I want to know if there are people on the thread DAT has done business with BCIE Let me know hw it went nd wat to expect from them cox I don't know much abt BCIE. any advice will be really appreciated and helpful.

prior to this I have already gotten an admission to QUT last week, but for bachelors but BCIE Promised to get me a masters at Griffith. so I want to know if I should wait for d admission or go along with the offer I have gotten already from QUT.

PLZ REPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TNX @ all
I sent my application for admission on my own. I only contacted BCIE for visa application. The problem with BCIE is their requirements. You should be sure of their requirements first. Getting admission won't be a problem as long as you meet the school's requirements for your proposed course

Lol.. Baba, I don't know na. Pls direct me coz my friend said If I try to pay direct to the sch, the exchange rate will be doubled..
It won't actually be doubled but it will increase. I paid with Gtb mastercard and about #100,000 extra was deducted. I called Gtconnect to find out what happened and i was told that exchange rate for international transaction differs so it's better for you to do bank transfer like Ifeco1 suggested though it takes longer time to complete (about 4 to 5 days).

If its SVP u don't need any financial proof, just a strong SOP, which is convincing that you will return to your job in Naija. Payslip is for PR application.

BCIE always quotes big money bank statements. Even if you are applying to a Uni in TOGO, they will request a N5m acct statement.
Thank you so much. Please I have another question. I just want to get all the necessary details before sending the application to avoid any error. Is it true that applicants with dependents can't apply under SVP? That's another reason BCIE gave me because I have a 3 year old dependent.

EEAA,

You can do the application on your own without the use of an agent. Afterall, the only thing the agent does is to submit your documents on your behalf.
Thanks bellong. I'm grateful. Do I need to put my pay slips in my application?
I pray this doesn't happen but what if the officer in charge of my visa asks how I intend to finance my studies (since they have the right to do so) because I don't have such funds in my account neither do I have any close relative with such huge amount. Thanks once again.

Hello great people, thanks for your help so far. Please i need your advice again. I'm planning to lodge my application next week but my agent (BCIE- BRITISH COUNCIL) insists that i have to submit bank statement worth between #6 and 7m despite opening their eyes to number 42 & 43 on the application form.
Please what's your advice? I'm thinking of sending the application on my own or using another agent. I'm going for master of Nursing (i studied Nursing at school of Nursing and University)
I have received my CoE about two months ago and i have a landed property bearing my name and my husband's. I currently work in the nursing department of a university and I've worked for about 7 years as a nurse in primary health care. I intend to include both employment letters in my application and i have a dependant (my 3 years old daughter). I need your advice please. Thank you in anticipation.

Hi EEAA,

I think what everyone is trying to tell you will be clear to you if you check questions no.42 & 43 in the student visa application form.

Here's a screenshot for easy access

Hope this helps
I understand. I've checked that as well. Thanks a lot. God bless you.

University sponsorship is a long thing as the VC alone doesn't have the power to grant such sponsorship, the senate and governing body will be involved, and what happens when they ask for account verification?

From my understanding, SVPs need to satisfy financial requirement but its not compulsory to show financial evidence even though they reserve the right to ask for it.

You can get a letter of commitment from your Uni like Bellong suggested but leave sponsorship for now.
Like i have always said, "follow your checklist!"
Thanks lawland. I appreciate your advice

I just checked the immigration website now and found this. The title is;

Subclass 573 Document Checklist Streamlined.
Financial documents
*travel costs to and from Australia
*living costs
*tuition costs
*school costs for any school-aged children
The departmental officer assessing your application will need to be satisfied that the funds you are relying on will genuinely be available to your during your stay in Australia. You might be asked by us to provide further evidence regarding your financial capacity.

This is the information on checklist. So what do you think?
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by EEAA: 9:29am On Oct 10, 2015
Thanks lawland and bellong. I have checked several times but I will check again to be sure. My program is higher education(masters by course work) which is subclass 573.

lawland:
Do you even need sponsorship in the first place? ECU supposed to be on SVP!
Yes lawland, ECU is on SVP but part of the visa requirement is proof of sufficient fund to pay for remaining tuition, return ticket and 18,610AUD per year for living expenses.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by EEAA:
Thanks NNBB2012 and bellong. Will the letter of sponsorship and account statement of my employer be enough or the sponsor money must be in my account?
I also like to be sure of the fact that being sponsored by my employer (the university I work for) won't prevent me from being granted further visa because I intend to do my PhD afer the masters and also apply for PR.

Congrats Sammy and laminaria...I'm happy for you. I will appreciate any helpful tip on the visa application. I'm supposed to have sent my application but the statement of account is still unsettled. Every other thing is ready. Thanks in anticipation.
