Even after stating the obvious and posting Wilfred Ndidi stats. You still have the effrontery to call him washed.

I pray for you, may people see your good works and give you due recognition. May they never allow their feelings and bias to get the best of them. May they never see your obvious good works and still call you washed.

What are you guys doing. This is wickedness in broad daylight. Ignorance can be very loud. This is why I do not gel with the crowd.
I wash my eyes with pure water and do my fact finding
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Owibi midfield failed to qualify Nigeria for the 2022 World Cup. Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi, midfield, barely qualified Nigeria for the 2023 Afcon. We only qualified because 3 points were awarded to us due to the fiasco in Libya Airport prior to the actual game, where we refused to play. If we actually played that game in Libya and lost, we will not have qualified since Rwanda defeated us at home in our last qualifier. Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi's midfield did not qualify us for the 2026 World Cup. Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi midfield is currently in the process of failing to qualify for the 2027 Afcon. If we continue on this path as you are suggesting, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi's midfield will not qualify us for the 2030 World Cup.

They swear for Una in that country. Why are you people over there so afraid of change? This is why you keep recycling the same old failed politicians to continue to sink the country deeper and deeper in mess. Try something new or fresh and let us see how it goes. They swear for una over there. Abegi.

The fans are not just undiscerning but also very ignorant. Sorry I don't gel with the crowd because I have seen all kinds of foolishness with them, including this.

The call for Ndidi's drop is a very foolish one, especially when you don't have a better replacement. Who is his replacement? Ndidi is a destroyer and is world class at it. This he kept showing in the matches that he has featured. The stats are to back it. You have only your emotions for an accomplice, error prone emotions at that.

The invitation of John Otomewo is a step in the right direction. We will see him for who he is.
My brother, please put a little bit of deeper thinking in your thoughts. Players like Ndidi and Onyeka probably can be argued that they will be more effective for Nigeria when we are playing a side that is better than us on paper that we will probably concede position to. When we are playing sides that are going to sit back and park the box, we need more creative midfielders who can do more with the ball. Defenses can be split with long range, mid range, drive-through close control technical dribbling skills and through passes. We need midfielders that can consistently do those. We need midfielders who can actually shoot the ball from outside the box. Ndidi and Oneka simply do not possess any of the mentioned qualities. They are simply runners and destroyers. We need ball carriers in that midfield.

We played 10 World Cup qualifiers, and in 6 or 7 of those games we never scored more than 1 goal, and that is because teams know our weakness. They know we are weak in the midfield and slow at the back, especially with Ajayi playing, so their game plans are always to sit back and invite us to break them down, knowing we simply do not have the personnel to do that, and then hit us on a counter with our weak midfielders and a slow defender. It is not rocket science. All the minors in Africa all know the receipt of beating Nigeria.

If we don't address this problem now, the script will repeat itself when the World Cup qualifiers start. Let us try something different, my brother. If we fail, at least we tried something different. Aren't you tired of the same script repeating itself?

You sabi book
The problem here is Nigeria plays in Africa. We have to start learning how to beat these adversaries. World Cup Qualifying will soon kick off, and the away games are not going to be like Afcon pitches in Ivory Coast or Morocco. Even our home games are not going to be like those pitches, and we need to start finding ways to grind out results. Things don't change in Nigeria; the NFF is corrupt, and once money changes hands, they will agree to send the supereagles to go and play in those potato farm fields. If you doubt this claim, do you know that in the 2022 World Cup playoffs between Nigeria and Ghana, the Accra stadium was not approved by CAF, and Ghana was going to play their home game against us in Morocco? Amaju Pinnick collaborated with the Ghana FA, and an envelope was exchanged, and the stadium was approved mysteriously. Nigeria is rotten to the core with corruption. Criminality has taken over the country, and you cannot even get any leadership position in today's Nigeria without being a thug or a criminal. I have zero to little hope that any significant change is really going to happen in the NFF.

Watch the fight in Calvin Bassey. Calvin Bassey and Victor Oshimhen are the kind of dogs you need on your national team. Bruno Onyemachi was getting punked and bullied all game. He was soft like Charmin in this game, and I am glad Calvin was on his ass. To be great at anything, you have to have a strong mentality. This is the kind of character I need in my national team. Bassy got it, Oshimhen got it, the rest are not showing it, and this is why we are losing games to these minors in football. I even heard some of them refused to play because the pitch was bad, and these are the kind of players some think will go away to Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea, etc., in the World Cup qualifiers and grind out results under terrible conditions. I need dogs on this team, and if you are soft, you can only function on a perfect pitch in European kind of surroundings; please stop making yourself available for selection in these qualifiers. He will be an Inter Milan player next season. This boy is so much better and bigger than Fulham with all due respect. He is a warrior, and I want him as the vice captain of the team.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by EElopa: 5:38pm On Oct 01
You can never have a good football team without a good midfield. The reason why the likes of Senegal, Ivory Coast or Morocco rarely lose in Africa is because of their ability to control games. We have to rebuild that midfield. Enough of the runners, hustlers, and tacklers, we now need the ball carriers, manipulators and distributors. We went from the likes of JJ Okocha, Wilson Oruma, Sunday Oliseh, Mikel Obi to Ndidi, Onyeka and Onyedika. Throw that midfield positions wide open for real competition. Go hard on Francis Onyeka and Ethan Nwaneri for that creative midfield position. If we can get these two it will create a massive competition for Lookman in that 10 position. Iwobi to me is a winger. Move him to the left wing position. He will create a competition for Lookman in that left wing position and also in the 10 position if needed. This will bring out the best in Lookman who i still think is Nigeria second best attacking player. Get rid of the players that thier best football are behind them. The 5 central defenders are set. They should be Calvin Bassey, Emmanuel Fernandez, Chibuike Nwaiwu, Benjamin Frederick and Akpe Victory. The left back position is a shitshow. Bruno onyemachi and Sanusi are simply not good enough. They are very limited players. These two will not get us to the promise land. Good lads, but they are very limited. Get rid of them. Felix Agu is serviceable when fit but he is always injured. I will pay serious attention to the newly invited leftback in the Russia game and it will be totally unfair to cast judgement on him base on one game but i will evaluate the technical and defensive side of his game. Cast the net wide and see if you can find a proper leftback and if not, maybe moving Calvin Bassey to the left back position should be considered. Ola Aina is a very good right back. Thier are good prospects here for the backup roles. Wingers position should be a blood bath. We are loaded here. Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Femi Azeez, Zadok Yohanna, Moses Usor etc. We are really not as blessed in the strikers position as we think. The only real strikers we currently have in the supereargles are Victor Osimhen and George Ilenikhena. The rest are really below average. Victor and George will always be there. If Victor Osimhen is available I will probably go with Akor as the 3rd striker. We don't need 4 strikers use the extra striker spot for a midfielder. If Osimhen is not available The third striker spot should be wide open and should go any striker performing at a respectable level for his club ( The league he plays in should play a major factor) Finally the goal keeping position should be a battle between Maduka Okoye and Authur Okoronkwo. Get rid of Nwabali. The third goal keeping spot should go the U23 Starting Goalkeeper.

If you guys went through my post, you can clearly observe that I never at any time questioned Ndidi's love and commitment to Nigeria. I might have sounded harsh in my criticism of Ndidi, but make no mistake about it, Wilfred Ndidi in his prime was a beast, and I rated him very highly. He was just as good as Kante in that DM role in his prime. Seeing some scrubs who cannot even clean his clits in his prime win the midfield battle against him really got me bleeped up. The passion and fire I can tell you is still burning in him, but the mileage in that body has pilled up, and the body simply cannot respond to what the heart desired.

Ndidi will be 30 years old in December. Some players still play and perform for their national team in their late 30s. If I were to advise Ndidi, I will tell him to take an extended period break from the national team and simply concentrate on his club. He should fight to get his starting spot back at Besiktas. Take the stress of international football off that body for at least 2 years, get his deserved rest during international breaks, and then see how he feels as time goes by. If down the road he feels that he is back at his best and his club form is showing to the world that Willf is back, then he can make himself available for selection.

TheSuperNerd:
When I think of the Super Eagles today, these are the players that come to mind for me... the players that make me wanna watch them. The Players that carry the true aura of the team presently in terms of high-end technical quality, intensity, hunger and more.

#1 Victor Osimhen (The Leader)

#2 Calvin Bassey (Defensive General)

#3 Alex Iwobi (Midfield General)

#4 Ademola Lookman (but he has been crap for the last 2 games)

#5 Samuel Chukwueze (love him, hate him... he is still one of our creative heads when he gets going in his elements. Chelle did us dirty benching this lad for 90mins vs GNB)

#6 Benjamin Frederick (Damn! This kid's knee injury really denied us something extra at the Afcon. He plays with his heart and has such a high ceiling)

#7 Ola Aina (has always been a reliable even though he was a bit timid vs Madagascar)

These are the 7 lads. No one else plays with the kind of hunger, intelligence or intensity of at least 6 of these guys. I say 6 because Chukwueze can be off or on but he remains a game changer in clutch moments/games. Showed it vs Benin when we needed 4 goals in the WCQs and did well vs Madagascar.

Every other player is just there. Onyeka is just all brawns, no brains. Ndidi is wasted. Ajayi is slow. Moses Simon is directionless. Nwabali has forgotten how to dive. Okoye models more than he plays football. Bruno is annoyingly unreliable. Bright Osayi scammed us at the Afcon. Onyedika is timid. Tolu is not Super Eagles quality, forget his Ajax showings. Akor is just riding on his Osimhen Chemistry, that's all.... so on and so forth

The laziness and low drive of many of the players yesterday really irked me. Disgusting.

The new ones like Nwaiwu, Fernandez, Femi Azeez, Ilenikhena, Usor, etc have not established themselves in the Super Eagles just yet so we will see.

It is not hard to dump some of these lads and move forward with the aforelisted 7 and a few on probation while bringing in the best of the young talents without further ado. We have a large quality pool but we make it look small because we keep limiting ourselves to the same scope of players that failed to qualify for 2 world cups in a row.
The whole thing is just insane to me. Seyi Ajayi was atrocious against Madagascar. Guinea-Bissau have fast aggressive players and I was thinking Eric Chelle would have started Chibuike Nwaiwu knowing how slow Semi Ajayi is. Like you said the option are there but Eric Chelle is just not making use of them. Ajayi was atrocious, Osayi and Bruno was ass. Why did he not take out Osayi, Ajayi and Bruno and then move Bassey to leftback. Bring in Nwaiwu and Fernandez as center back partners, then introduce Fredrick as the right back. The center forwards were on holidays I would have hook them at halftime bring in Ilenikhena. Instead of bringing Simon i would have brought on Chukwueze.

Nigerian fans are not helping matters.
Imagine calling Wilfred Ndidi all kinds of names. Wilfred Ndidi is one of our standout performers. Which midfielder in those two games overshadowed him. He was not overshadowed playing against the likes of Vitinha and Neves, it is those players from Madagascar and Guines Bissau that will overshadow him.

You guys are not even grateful for the player: Wilfred Ndidi.

If Wilfred Ndidi happens to come upon some of the rubbish (which are even lies and distorted facts) the people he represents are saying about him, I hope he won't be crestfallen.

Our problem is the system. They get a lot of things wrong.
Get emotions out it mate. Michael Jordan despite being the greatest basketball to walk the surface of the earth cannot beat any current NBA basketball player today in a 1 v1 action. Father's time is undefeated. Wilfred Ndidi in his prime will get in to the starting lineup of 99 percent of national teams in the world. Intact i had him in my top 5 best defensive midfielders in the world. Leicester city ran him to the ground. Injuries took a toll on him and there are just too many miles in that body and body no be firewood. Ndidi
personally knows he is not the player he once was. It happens to everyone. Victor Osimhen will one day start slowing down. I am not a professional athlete but I used to play ball with these young kids at the gym but as am getting older myself now hanging with these young boys is becoming harder. Ndidi was a baller but the millage in that body of his has caught up with him.

I never for once taught that Troost Ekong was an elite defender or footballer but I have always had a mad level of respect for him. I have never meet him in person but I always taught that everything about him outside of a footballer pitch was just class. He aways comes off to me as a very reasonable, matured intelligent guy. This is why I was not surprised when he retired from the team when people still had him in high regards. Now contrast him to deadweights like Armed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Semi Ajayi. Wilfred Ndidi, zaidu Sanusi, etc who are all well aware that the general public wants them gone from the team but they have refused to bow out with dignity. I guess they will have to be stoned or attacked after once again failing to qualify Nigeria for the 2030 world cup before the alarm bail will make them to wake up and smell the coffee.

Inter Milan is a big club and if you are a coach at Inter Milan you are expected to win Seria A and be a contender at the champions league. Expectations like these makes it extremely difficult for coaches to trust and give young players an opportunity to play, make mistakes, learn from it and continue to develop thier games. You can not really write off a 21 year old midfielder. It is way too early. There are tangibles that I look at in a player before making an informed conclusion on that particular player. Akinsanmiro have everything to to be a proper midfielder now whether it comes to fruition is all up to Ebenezer Akinsanmiro.

What exactly are you talking about dude? What exactly is the logic behind what you just typed? Maduka Okoye is good enough to face Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma but he is not good enough to face Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau, Tanzania? I really need you to give me a more detailed logical reason on your stand about him ? If you are saying all these about him because of the goal he conceded against Tunisia 5 years ago or the goal he conceded against Poland then explain the logic why you are not applying the same principles to the goals Nwabali has also conceded ?

I agree with you almost 100%

Zaidu is a taboo please. With all due respect, never mention that guys name again among professionals

Ebenezer akinsanmiro isn't as good as you guys tout him to be. I'm not seeing the hype honestly

Al hassan yusuf in 2026?? Haba na giy!!!!!!
Al Hassan to me is a slightly better version of Ndidi. He is not a world beater but he has energy, can cover ground, pass the ball comfortably and most importantly is technically better than Ndidi. I don't think he is the solution to our midfield problems but I will take him in a heartbeat over Ndidi. The good news is that Tim Iroegbunam and Lesley Ugochukwu paperworks are being processed as I type. Tochukwu Nnadi, Lesley Ugochukwu and Tim Iroebgunam should definitely end Wilfred Ndidi era in the supereagles. Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is not a finished article. Do you know why Inter Milan signed him in the first place? They signed him because of his technical quality. He is comfortable on the ball, can run with the ball, good close control, great first touch and a good passing range. He is 21 years old and can still get better.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by EElopa: 3:16am On Sep 30
The performances we saw from Nigeria at the Afcon have given Eric Chelle a grace period, but he needs to start learning from these mistakes. He really got it wrong against Zimbabwe, and I believe he was tactically outmaneuvered in the semi-finals against Morocco and was also tactically outcoached against DR Congo in the playoffs.

The Madagascar coach won the tactical battle in Uyo, and he was outcoached today as well. He needs to be more flexible in his tactics, and he needs to start learning from his mistakes. He does not seem to be a fast learner, in my opinion. There are players on this team that he should have phased out, and the fact he is still inviting players like Kelechi Iheanacho shows me that he has not learned his lessons. Stop inviting Raphael Onyedika; if you don't rate him, and will mostly play in the diamond formation. You should have used that spot for another midfielder.

Dude, please change the personnel that have constantly failed this nation in the last 8 to 10 years. I don't really understand what the likes of Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Ajayi, Osayi, and Sanusi are still doing in this team. He should have figured out by now that these players are not getting us the World Cup ticket in Africa.

Playing in Africa is hard. The pitches and playing conditions will always not be ideal; this is why you need to have players with the mentality to fight through these adversaries. When you are playing on a world-class pitch in Morocco or the Ivory Coast, the game is entirely different from playing on a goat farm pitch in Congo, Burkina Faso, or Guinea-Bissau. To qualify for the World Cup, we will need to go to places like Guinea-Bissau and grind out results.

To be successful in qualifying for major competitions in Africa, you have to have the mental strength to fight through adversaries. What we have seen over the past 8 years from some of these bunches is that they crumble under difficult conditions. There are simply no dogs in them. They are just soft.

Eric Chelle needs to start cleaning house because Nigerians will be on his case if he fails to pick up 6 points in November. If the highlighted names I mentioned earlier are still on this team and playing significant minutes when the 2030 World Cup qualifying cycles begin, Nigeria will not be at the World Cup in 2030.

Eric Chelle i beg you in jesus name can you please move away from Ndidi and Onyeka. There is nothing of any substantial we can achieve on the global stage with Ndidi and Onyeka playing midfield for Nigeria. Emotions are high today but like i said earlier this could actually be a disguise in the sky. Going forard

Goalkeepers
Maduka Okoye
Author Okoronkwo
Stanley Nwabili
First choice should be a fight between Okoye and Maduka. If a good prospect emerges or become available, drop Nwabali. Staley Nwabali is old and is not really getting any better.

Defenders

Right Backs
Starter - Ola Aina
Back up - He will need to get a backup for Ola Aina.
Candidates Bewene Abdullahi, Christian Akpan and Ryan Alebiosu

Left Backs
Starter - Bruno Onyemachi: I don't really rate him highly, but he is the best we currently have.
Back up - Zaidu Sanusi: If he is on form, I don't really mind him starting.
- I will watch the new left back Issac James to see what he brings to the table. I am completely open for him to become a starter if he impresses.

Center backs
Starters : Benjamin Fedricks and Calvin Bassey
Back ups Emmanuel Fernandez Chibuike Nwaiwu and Victory Akpe

Midfielders
Eric Chelle needs to fix this midfield: Alex Iwobi, Dele Bashiru, Tochukwu Nnadi, Ebenezer Akinsamiro, Alhassan Yusuf, Rafael Onyedika. If we can get Francis Onyeka and Lesley Ugochukwu then I will drop Rafael Onyedika and Yusuf.

Wingers
Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Yohanna Zadok, and Femi Aziz

Strikers
Victor Oshimhen
George Illenikhena
Gift Orban

I just hope the U23 lads perform well against Russia, I believe our rebuilding process must surely begin from that friendly, that U23 squad + the unity cup squad led by Osimhen and Bassey should be used to see out the remaining games in that group, I'll rather we succeed or fail with new ideas. I'm done with the Ndidis and Iwobis of this world.
Dude, I agree with you on Ndidi, but I completely disagree with you on Iwobi. Alex Iwobi is the least of Nigeria's problems. Wilfred Ndidi, even in his prime, was neither a ball-playing nor a ball-carrying midfielder. He hides from the ball due to his limited ability with the ball at his feet. In his prime he made up these shortcomings with his V12 engine heart, world-class athleticism, and Jelaff legs that allowed him to intercept balls and win aerial duels and one-on-one battles in the midfield. It made him one of the top 10 defensive midfielders in the world back then. That leg and the V12 engine heart are gone, and he is now a complete liability for this team. Eric Chelle needs to develop the balls and let Ndidi simply concentrate on his club career. I don't see what he brings to the table now. His presence limits our ability to dominate the midfield due to his lack of ball-playing skills. When you have Ajayi and Ndidi on a team, it makes it very difficult to play smooth football due to the fact that both of these players simply cannot manipulate the football.

I am also still shocked that nobody on this message board has said anything about the stinker Ademola Lookman has dropped this window. Ademola Lookman was as bad as any player on the field in Uyo and in today's game. I cannot wait for the arrival of Femi Azeez, Yohanna, and the young German kid, Onyeka. Ademola Lookman needs to earn his place in the supereagles. Performances from him like he did this window should have him warming the bench next to Eric Chelle for a while. I have never seen or spoken to any African out here in the states that really see Lookman as an elite player. Most of them simply view him as a good player, and I am beginning to see why. How can I really view you as a world-class player when you are a NO SHOW for Nigeria on games that involved world powers like Losotho, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Benin, Rwanda, Madagascar, and Guinea-Bissau

Finally, If you have a high IQ and you can logically think, it will make absolutely zero sense to you why a goalkeeper who could not find a club even in Tanzania should be benching a goalkeeper who is a starter for a mid-table Serie A team, and Juventus and Inter Milan made an inquiry on him this offseason.

Akom Adam's, has really lost form. Look at when George came in, Nigeria almost scored. As a striker you need to position or look for space so that you can received pass and scored. Adam js really lost it.
The coach is just playing in base on he's form in Afcon.
Akor Adams is not really the player you guys make him out to be. His finishing is extremely poor for a center forward. Positioning and goal-scoring instincts associated with most elite strikers inside the box are completely absent in his game. He scored 10 goals in the Laliga, and almost half of them were penalty kicks. Sevila was desperate for cash, and the only team ready to pay anything for him was Vanezia. Dude, talent-wise, is not even in the top 5 in the center-forward position in Nigeria currently. He developed this chemistry with Oshimhen at the Afcon, and this is the only reason why I have not completely written him off. Eric Chelle needs to understand that he is a systematic player and not a regular plug-and-play striker. If Victor Oshimhen is not available, stop inviting him. The gap between Victor Oshimhen, George IIenikhena, and the rest is like the Gulf of Mexico.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by EElopa: 7:55pm On Sep 29
Thank god Chukwueze did not play in this game because they would have blamed him for everything. He was Nigeria's best player in the first half against Madagascar and he was still hammered for Nigeria's poor display. Akor Adams with another shambolic performance. He has been shambolic for his clubside as well this season. Eric Chelle, if Victor Oshimhen is not playing, please stop playing or inviting Akor Adams.

Taiwo Awoniyi is just all hustle but little technical ability. The heavy touches he took a couple of times in the box in this game are what you see on Sunday leagues. I like Taiwo, but if we are serious about really building a formidable team, he is simply not good enough.

Ndidi time is over. He is simply a shadow of the player he once was, and if we continue playing him, we will not qualify for the World Cup. Everybody can now see why he is a bench player at Basikas. He is simply not the player he once was and left to me; it is time to move on from Ndidi.

I am completely shocked at how little criticism Ademola Lookman gets on social media. This guy has been shambolic in these two games, and as usual, people will not talk. His performances for Nigeria in the World Cup qualifying were trash, and his performances in these two games are even worse. He plays well in the proper tournaments, but in qualifying games he is just plain ass, and I cannot wait for more options to become available in his positions so he can sit on the bench for a while.

Tolu Arukodele is simply ass, and I don't want to ever see that junk anywhere near the supereagles in the future. He can continue to deceive people scoring in developmental leagues like the Dutch or Belgian leagues. Dude, you are a professional player, and there is no coordination to your game. How many times do we have to see this junk fail to make a simple 3-yard pass to his teammate without giving the ball to his opponent?

Moses Simon is done. Dude, you have gotten your 100 caps; just bow out and give opportunities to the younger ones. The sight of this dude in the supereagles is beginning to really piss me off.

Bruno Onyemachi was extremely poor today. I still have my reservations about him. Honestly, I still see him as a backup left back at best if we are really serious about building a good team.

Osayi Samuel is simply not good enough. He had a good Afcon, but I am not fooled. If Osayi Samuel continues to start games for Nigeria, we will not qualify for the World Cup. He could not cut it in Turkey, struggled to maintain a starting spot at a relegation threatened Birmingham City in the championship, and is just not very good. Have absolutely nothing against the brother, but he is simply not good enough to be in the SE team.

Frank Onyeka all hustle little to no technical ability. Frank Onyeka should not be starting games for Nigeria. He should be a designated player that comes in when we are trying to see a game off. If Frank Onyeka continues to start the game for Nigeria, we will not qualify for the World Cup.

Stanley Nwabali keeps conceding cheap goals, and people keep turning a blind eye to it. That first goal he conceded should not beat a national team goalkeeper. He is fundamentally poor; this is why, despite being Nigeria's number 1 goalkeeper for years now, no decent clubs, either in Africa or outside of Africa, have really come in big for him. He has world-class saves in him, but he concedes too many fundamentally error-prone goals. Maduka Okoye to me should be Nigeria's number 1 goalkeeper.

Semi Ajayi to be me is always who I told you guys he is. He is simply not good enough if we really want to compete at the highest level. If Semi Ajayi, Osayi Samuel, and Bruno Onyemachi continue to start games in the back for us, mark it here; we will not be at the worldcup in 2030.

Emotions are high, but this result might actually be a blessing in disguise. Eric Chelle has to clear house. Osayi Sameul, Seyi Ajayi, Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi should be phased out of the team now. If these 4 players continue to start and play significant minutes for Nigeria, we will not qualify for the World Cup.

Finally, shame on CAF for approving this staduim.

The NFF is an absolute disgrace. The pitch that the Super Eagles will be playing on against Guinea-Bissau today should never have been approved by CAF. That South African CAF president, like many others from South Africa, has been quietly undermining us, and no one seems to be speaking up about it. Players are at risk of injury on that terrible pitch today.

I watched the South Africa vs. Guinea match on Saturday and couldn’t help but think, South Africa has a pitch like this, yet CAF allowed us to play on that goat farm pitch when we played them during the world cup qualifiers. During the World Cup qualifier against them, Ola Aina sustained a serious injury that kept him out for almost a year. The nonsense that CAF is pulling with Nigeria is something they would never attempt with the North African countries.

The Super Eagles need to approach this game with seriousness. If we secure 3 points tomorrow, we will qualify after match day 4. We will defeat Tanzania both at home and away in November, and I expect Guinea-Bissau and Madang to split points. We can use the last two qualifiers to test some new players against African opponents. I still want to see the midfield trio of Iwobi, Akinsamiro, and Nnadi.

No be laughing matter, we have serous serious problems in this country. A man can not give you what ha does not have. A criminal in a suit or agbada sitting as an elected official is still a criminal. You can put lipstick on a pig, it is still a pig. One thing most criminals have in common is that they do not have shame or honor. When you look at NFF officials and the people in government in Nigeria you can see that 95 percent of them have no shame or honor. Nothing about Nigeria surprises me anymore. When the populace finally decides that they are tired of the nonsense going on in that country they know what to do. You carry people who you will never hire to work as a receptionist in your company give power to make critical decisions that will impact you and loved ones because of tribe Religion and you expect miracles to happen. I was in Nigeria last year and the level of poverty i saw was devastating. One day i was coming out my house and i saw this boy who was just a kid in the neighborhood eating some rotten food in my trash. I started crying, i took him to chicken republic and feed him. I then took him to the market where I bought food items for him and his family. We have the worst life expectancy in the world and we are an OPEC member country. You keep electing criminals who steals away your future and dangles tribalism, Religious bigotry and the populace continue to fall for it.

agreed on Usor
I respectfully disagree with you guys. He was trying to make things happen and he lost the ball a couple of times trying to be progressive with the ball. Usor knew that this was an opportunity of a lifetime and he needed to play himself into the mind of Eric Chelle. I loved how progressive he was with the ball. We need more technical players in the supereagles. People that can carry and progress up the field with the football. The way he disposed those 2 Madagascarn players still gives me orgasm. What a baller. Yes, he lost it a couple of time but he was trying to make things happen. He will definitely get better with time. I am so happy for the lad.

Samuel Chukwueze tried today, but he always seems to cross the ball better playing for AC Milan than Nigeria. He was one of the better players on the pitch today though. Calvin Bassey is a beast. That dude should be made the vice captain of the Supereagles. What a player. He is as important to the supereagles as Victor Oshimhen. Ademola Lookman, what exactly is wrong with you, bro? Why do you look so ordinally against Madagascar, Lesotho, and some of these small African countries? Dude, you were atrocious today. That performance from you today was totally unacceptable. Eric Chelle needs to grow some balls and sit this dude's ass on the bench next week and send a serious message to the team. Dude, you are the second-best player on this team, and much more is expected of you.

Arokadele was incredibly poor in this game. He was so atrocious and has simply played himself out of the supereagles. Why was he really this bad today? Was it just nerves? It hurts me to say this because Arokadele loves and bleeds supereagles. I saw the way he was crying in the hotel lobby on his first invite, and I became a fan of his. He could not put a foot right on anything he did today. He is a significantly better player than what he showed today. Moses Usor balled today, man. Forget the brilliant goal he scored; his touches were class, and he was taking people on. He grabbed his opportunity with both hands. Tolu Arokadele simply gave his place on the team for this boy.

Awoniyi played well today. I have always loved him; he has goals in him, and you will never question the effort and commitment he brings to the team. If everybody is healthy, he will not be on the team, but he is a player that Eric Chelle will always not hesitate to call in if injury in the CF position mounts. George Ilekhenna and Victor Oshimhen are levels above the rest. He will start alongside Oshimhen if everybody is healthy.

Akor Adams stock is falling fast. He needs to sit up, or he will be out of the team. He was atrocious today. I watched him this season for Vanezia, and I have not been impressed with his performances this season. The question now is, were his AFCON performances a fluke? Why did Sevila get rid of him cheaply, and no major clubs really came for him? I don't really think Akor Adams, talent-wise, is in the top 5 position among our centre forwards.

Wilfred Ndidi's performance together should be a warning sign to Eric Chelle that he has to find a capable replacement for Ndidi since he seems not fancy on Onyedika, which I actually agree with him on especially with regards to his 442 diamond formation. Onyedika is a double pivot DM. He has to find a replacement, or he has to alter his formation because Ndidi cannot simply cover the ground like he used to do. Ndidi and Moses Simon to me should slowly be phased out of the supereagles.

All in all, 3 points in the bags thats all that matters

Our midfield is wide open because Lookman is not working hard for the team. Ademola Lookman needs to start performing like a superstar on this team. He and Victor are the biggest profile players we have on this team, and this his lackluster performances for Nigeria in the qualifying series of a major tournament is becoming very irritating. He simply cannot just be an average player for this team.

Ndidi is off form, and you can see why he has lost his place at Besiktas, and Chukwueze is not Frank Onyeka, so he is not really putting in the effort to do the dirty work to help out in the middle. Akor Adams has not really been on form, and he has been clumsy this half. The only reason why his place is somehow secure on this team is his effective partnership with Oshimhen. He really needs to sit up because Eric Chelle is definitely not afraid to show the axe. Ndidi is really struggling; he simply does not look to have the legs to do the job needed of him in this chelle system today.

The qualification campaign in Africa is based on this principle: win your games at home and don't lose away. If you lose away from home, then you have to get a win away from home. All Nigeria needs to do is take care of business at home and not get beat away from home. Since this group is kind of weak, Nigeria is still expected to win away at Tanzania and Madagascar. Nigeria is still a clear favorite to win against Guinea-Bissau away, but a draw in that match is an acceptable result.

Maduka Okoye is the only player not yet in camp. I am highly disappointed in him. He has not achieved nothing with supereargles internationally to be showing up to camp late. Infact has not really done anything that guarantees him the starting spot to be showing up late. I hope Eric Chelle humbles him by giving the starting shirt to Okoronkwo or Nwabili. Infact I will love it if he benches his ass for this two upcoming afcon games.

[quote author=Papi85 post=140716354] Mane will be the future president of Senegal. I think he will make a fantastic president. I love his leadership quality on and off the field. I love his maturity and the way he carries himself. Quality player and most importantly he is a quality human being.

Marketing is the key to successful product. This is why I always advocate for people with strong business background to be running institutions in Nigeria. When you are talking of attracting diasporan talents to rep Nigeria you have to make the supereagles brand attractive. Watching some of these players arrive at the hotel in a mini bus packed like a sardine is just not attractive. If I am a Francis Onyeka, Ethan Nwaneri watching these it will be a total turn off for me. Organizing it in a way where a whole bunch of the players arrive at a specified time then a proper bus will go pick them up and drop them off at the hotel.

Even if he want to go to party the night before the match,it's still his business,
but there are certain things you have to sacrifice as professional footballer or even in other profession if you must be kept out of controversies.

And you are seriously telling Nigerian football fans that whatever their players does is not their business and expert them to accept that they are naive for calling out Okoye's party movements.
When they will accuse him of rape now,it will become everyone's business.
I don't really understand how you guys reason in that country. How many times have we seen Victor osimhen in the club in Lagos having a good time. Maduka Okoye was not dancing or messing around with strippers. He was in a party with a female friend. I just don't see anything wrong with it. If Maduka Okoye was seen drunk then you will have a case against him but simply having a good time in the club with a female friend is not a crime or an issue to any reasonable person. He was not on the clock last weekend. He was off the clock as a professional having a good time before reporting to camp for a serious business. Camp is open and he is now on the clock. Maduka Okoye is a professional. Looking at his physique tell you that he takes his craft seriously. If you guys were actually talking about Victor Boniface I would have aligned with guys knowing how overweight and unfit he always look as a professional footballer.

America man you too dey take comments personal...Maduka Okoye cannot try all these in a very serious and ambitious club or with coaches like Mourinho,Guardiola,Arteta, old Ferguson and Wenger...if it's off season no wahala, well na him life make he dey enjoy go,after football career possibly Okoye would be showman in fashion world, but he need to concentrate more on his football career.
The footballers are on international break. If Maduka was not called up to the national team he could have been in Maldives recovering. He went out over the weekend to a party before heading back to Nigeria. If the camp was open and he was still back in Italy I would have personally come for him but the camp opened today so last weekend was his personal time off and what he does on his personal time off should be nobody's business.

All this his off court antics is why I never see him as reliable

There's no sportsman who has this much distractions and is consistent. That's the truth

Come rain, come shine, I will always rate and prefer Nwabali to this guy
so his crime is being at a party on his off day as a young man and dancing with a girl. So he should not mingle and have a good time anymore because he plays for Nigeria. Come on fellas this is getting ridiculous now. The supereargles camp opened today and that video was recorded over the weekend what exactly have this boy done wrong now? This footballers are normal human beings like you and I and they also need to have a good time when they can. Make una leave that boy alone and mind una business.
