When I compare the transfer fees of players who are significantly inferior to Osimhen, I concluded that the asking price Napoli was looking for and his wage demands were not the primary reason why some EPL clubs did not come for him. Aston Villa just paid Chelsea 65 million pounds for Nicolas Jackson. He is a significantly better striker than Jackson. The main issue, I believe, is his strong personality and agbero way of handling conflicts. What we are actually seeing in public is likely a glimpse of what he is like behind closed doors. I strongly believe that some of these clubs have received internal reports about his character, and they simply do not want to deal with those issues. I am not trying to paint Victor black here, rather this seems to be the only logical reason why a world class striker like him is currently wasting his talent in Turkey. |
lovewins:An opportunity was given to you to serve and bring pride to your country but you chose to totally destroy everything due to your greed. You have now been disgraced out of office and you will go down as the worst NFF president ever. |
Meliforme:Ndidi is starter i understands it but Nnadi and Akinsanmiro will definitely be better than him by 2030. Nnadi and Akinsanmiro best football are ahead of them the same can't be said about Ndidi. I am big fan of Ndidi. I once rated him among the top 8 Defense midfielders in the world. Leicester city ran him to the ground. Injuries has taken it toll on him due to the overload they subjected him to. Ndidi is a very smart man and he himself knows he is not what he used to be and if the right money comes from the Arabs he will go secure his future. Wilfred Ndidi was a beast of a DM in his prime. |
SymphonyRad:For us to continue to improve and advance I really think Ndidi time in the national team should be coming to an end now. Nnadi, Akinsanmiro, Onyedika and Yusuf are definitely ready to takeover the baton. Ndidi is just not the player he once was. Getting benched in Besiktas all but confirmed it. Ndidi should just go chop the Arab oil money and clean mouth. We really need to start building the supereagles around top quality veterans that will still be around for 2030 like Iwobi, Oshimhen, Lookman, Bassey and then up and coming talents that are going to get better with time. Moses Simon, Ajayi, Ndidi, onuachu, Sanusi, and the rest should hopefully bow out from the national team with a title or medal after next year Afcon for the yound bloods. |

mirinder:Dude I think you are being too harsh on Chukwueze. From a statistical point of view Chukwueze has not actually been complete ass for Nigeria. 59 games 7 goals and double digits assists for the supereargles. That number is not that bad for a winger infant the majority of strikers don't even have that number for their national team. My problem with Chukwueze is that my expectations of him are much higher. We currently have 4 grade A talents in the SE. They are Osimhen, Lookman, Boniface and Chukwueze. You can make an argument for Bassey.Upcoming ones currently are Yahonna and Frederick. |
TheSuperNerd:I saw his touches and movement. Quality player. Super Eagles Ready. |
I find it incredible how nobody on this forum is hyping for the inclusion of Nathan Tella in the Super Eagles. Going by form, this boy is playing as well as any of our wingers in Europe right now. Apart from Chukwueze and Lookman, he is playing for the highest-profile club and league. This boy should definitely be in the next Super Eagles list. A very versatile player. |
forgiveness:My brother, I am a realist. I don't hate Semi Ajayi; in fact, Semi Ajayi, just like Troost Ekong, is a proper professional footballer who has poured every ounce of talent he possesses into his career. Both of these gentlemen have achieved more in their professional careers than many players who are significantly more talented than they are. I may be viewing these matters from a different perspective than some of you here. I am tired of witnessing mediocre Super Eagles teams. I refuse to settle for this mediocrity any longer. I envision a Super Eagles team similar to what we had in the '90s, where they can potentially qualify for the World Cup in 2030 not just to make up the numbers, but as a dark horse capable of providing any team in the world with a strong challenge. We currently have 1 defender at that level. We have 4 defenders that will get to that level in 2 years, and we have 2 great prospects that I have watched and I am excited about. The sole defender at that level currently is (Calvin Bassey). The four defenders that will get to that level in 1 to 2 years (Benjamin Federicks, Emmanuel Fernandez Chibuike Nwaiwu & Victory Akpe) Some exciting prospects that can spoil the party with massive growth to their game in the next 3 years are (Vincent Osuji & Emmanuel Chukwu). Some other prospects will probably emerge, but for now these are players that I have watched extensilvely and feel they have the required tool set that will allow us to play a position-based football like we used to do in the 90s. |
Napoleon55:Thank goodness you are not the Super Eagles coach. All that I am seeing here is an emotional outburst because Semi Ajayi scored a lucky tap-in goal. Eric Chelle knows that when everybody is fit, his starting centrebacks are Calvin Bassey and Benjamin Federicks. Semi Ajayi and Emmanuel Fernandez are currently the backup players. However, Semi Ajayi's future in the Super Eagles seems uncertain. While I have a certain appreciation for Semi Ajayi and believe he is a competent player, it is evident that those vying for his position are simply more skilled and better than him. Chibuike Nwaiwu is vying for that backup right-centerback position that Ajayi currently occupies. Chibuike Nwaiwu is significantly more talented than Semi Ajayi. Bayer Leverkusen bid 20 million pounds for him, but Trabzonspor turned it down. Fulham made a bid close to 30 million pounds, and they also rejected that. There are reports coming out of Italy that Roma is inquiring about him. I saw him play for Trtabzonspour a couple of days ago, and I can confidently say this boy will be a 50-plus million-pound defender in two years. He excels in aerial situations, is composed with the ball at his feet, and has the ability to advance the play effectively. I thought to myself, "I understand why Trabzonspor is reluctant to sell him at this time. Semi Ajayi is not a poor player; it's just that more talented individuals are coming to the forefront. |
Sorry guys for derailing this thread. I am done with this political talk. |
Sugarboyy:Again i don't know why you bringing south easterners in to this argument. The Igbo man will survive and succeed anyway he finds himself because they are hardworking and business minded. Natural resources will never move a real Igbo man. State creation by group of military junters do not define people. A military Junter waking up in the morning and zoning Oyo state to SS one day will not make the people there not to be yoruba. The igbos are indigenous to 12 states in Nigeria. Come and tell my brother inlaw from Asaba that he is not Igbo and see if he will not lynch you alive. |
Sugarboyy: |
Sugarboyy:Nonsense talk. I work in big finance. I went through that case and there is nothing there budy. If Peter Obi was corrupt there will be EFCC cases against him. if you want to attack Peter Obi you could probably stage your attack on the fact that he did not actually turn Onitcha or Awka in to Abuja but attacking him on being corrupt oga you no get case. Tell me a governor in Nigeria that left 200 million dollars in liquid cash to his successor in a bank. The man is as clean as they get. Till today they still can not dig anything on him. APC don try tira and they still can not find anything on the man. |
Sugarboyy:You can call Peter Obi all the name in the world but he is not a criminal. Peter Obi is a complete nightmare for Tinubu. That man comfortably won the 2023 general election and they all know it. Tinubi sees Peter obi when he is fucking his wife, shitting, sleeping you name it. Trust me if Peter Obi is a criminal like you alleged he will be in jail today. The APC has exhausted all their energy trying to find a case against the man. I personally think that Peter obi is too much of a gentleman to govern an animal kingdom like Nigeria. Nigeria need a ruthless leader that will come in kill alot of the current elites we have in Nigeria and implement policies that will develop the country. By the way I was in Burkina Faso last year. In ten years time Nigerian will be begging for a visa to go to Burkina Faso. That country is transforming at alarming rate. Democracy is a lie the west sold to us Africans. A country need to get to a certain level of development before Democracy starts working. |
Diavolo:Absolutely a big capital no. If Tinubu decided to throw all of them in a slammer I could not be bothered. They are all criminals doing what they know how to do best. I was just referencing to his comments and pointing out how ironic he sounded. |
Sugarboyy:I actually agree with your statement. Nigeria actually need Abacha kind of a leader with a good intention to actually develop the country. For Nigeria to move forward alot of people have to be eliminated. A gentleman can not really govern Nigeria well. The problem with Abacha and Tinubu is that their strongman mannerism is actually not for the betterment of the country rather it is for their own selfish interest & ambitions. |
Kog45:Go back and read what you said. You said that he expected Tinubu to turn a blind eye on the NFF looting 12 billion naira and I just found that your statement really funny. Did Tinubu not turn a blind eye on Yahaya Bello stealing over 80 billion naira. |
Kog45:12 billion is a pocket change to what Tinubu and his boys are currently stealing. 12 billion is what they are probably stealing on weekly basis. Tinubu government is still running a concurrent budget since 2023. This is a classic example of pot calling kettle black. Oga commot for that matter. |
DeloitteNG:FC Porto of today is simply not the team it use to be 10 to 15 years ago. They are just making up the numbers in the champions league. Terem Moffi goals in bundesliga will carry more weight for him than his goals in Portugal. |
DeloitteNG:How many good to decent teams do you have in Portugal? I will say Benfica, Porto, Sporting and Braga. The other teams in Portugal are really championship teams and league 1 teams. In Germany he will be playing competitive teams every week. |
DeloitteNG:It is a good move for him. Terem Moffi has had a torrid couple of seasons. I don't think anybody here was anticipating him going to champions league club playing in the top 5 leagues. Hamburg is a massive club in Germany. An outstanding season for them will have his market value skyrocketing, and perhaps bigger teams will come for him next summer. He will be playing in front of 50 plus thousand fans every week in the top 3 leagues in the world. This is a good move for Terem Moffi. |
DeloitteNG:The turkish league is a dead water league where 75 percent of the teams in that league will be relegated in the English championship. It is not a developmental league neither is it a quality league. I will rather have Terem Moffi go any team in the big 5 leagues than any team in Turkey. Infact i will rather have him go to any team in Holland, portigal, Belgium or the English championship than Turkey. |
DeloitteNG:Did you watch Hamburg last season. They are a free flowing team that plays attacking football. Hamburg is a massive football club in Germany. 50 plus thousand fans shows up every week. The Bundesliga is a very good league and Hamburg is a nice club for Terem Moffi to relaunch his career. |
Papi85:Beautiful move. So glad he never made the mistake of going to turkey. Terem Moffi is a top player. He is the kind of player that needs to be in rhythm for his quality to show but unfortunately he has been so unlucky with costant nagging injuries. This guy when fully healthy and in rhythm is a 18 to 20 goals a season striker in the big 5 leagues. A very good player. I really like Terem Moffi. |
[quote author=BlackManta post=140382867]ESPN ranked the world's best strikers. Victor Osimhen came in at 9th place. This is what they came up with: 1. Harry Kane 2. Kylian Mbappé 3. Erling Haaland 4. Ousmane Dembélé 5. Julián Álvarez 6. Lautaro Martínez 7. Kai Havertz 8. João Pedro 9. Victor Osimhen 10. Hugo Ekitike Osimhen should be 6th on that list. Ranking Pedro, Alvarez and Havertz above him is criminal. But then again, he's the only striker on that list that does not play in Europe's top 5 leagues. [/quote. Nonsense list. Whoever did that ranking must be on smoking some deep shit. From a pure number 9 point of view the only players am picking on that list above Victor Osimhen are Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and maybe Harry Kane. |
Papi85:I saw him a couple of time last season and he looked a solid player. He is definitely not better at the options we currently have. I don't quite think he is good enough to be at a decent side in the top 5 leagues. He is not going to win anything playing at his current club so this is definitely a smart move on his part. Football is short time carear. Dude is going to cash out and i don't blame him. Goodluck to the lad. |
ChrisKels:This is a very troubling sign to be perfectly honest with you. Failing to break in to Club Brugge first team or at least get decent amount of playing time is very troubling. When you start going out on loan from the Belgium league Omo that is not a good sign. Something along the way might have really stunted his development. I still believe in this Lad but he really need to get serious now. Have an honest self evaluation and start making changes to your work ethic, people around you, training programs etc. I am very disappointed to be perfectly honest with you. The good news is that he is still young and talented. |
Kog45:County me in then. I just want some body that will go in there and bring professionalism back. |
Kog45:I have not heard of him but if his CV is as impressive and he is not former or current Nigerian politician then I am all good. The only thing I care about is somebody that will bring joy back to the fan of Nigerian football. I was absolutely gutted of not being able to see the super eagles live at the world cup here in the United States. It would have been once in a lifetime experience. |
Go and get Mike Emenalo to run the NFF. He has managed and achieved success at the highest level. For a black African man to have risen and achieved what he has accomplished post his football carear tells you how competent he is. He is going to clean up Nigerian football and he will bring back professionalism to the way the NFF is run on daily basis. Somebody with his profile and accomplishments will also make it easier for us to chase some these dual nationals. We don't need politicians be it current or former running our football. Nigerian politicians are just bad administrators and they all have high tolerance level for corruption. |
