My PSN ID is a nickname that is also used as my Twitter id and appears in my Facebook name too...so I'm keeping it private.

Moreover, revealing my PSN id doesn't prove I own a PS4. Heck, I could post a pic of me holding a PS4 and receipt and it still wouldn't prove it was mine.

The original argument was if I play on PC or PS...and it was raised by someone who I've conversed with ON PSN in the past.

And that's my last post on this topic.

BusinessCBN - Apex Bank May Devalue Naira Again by eemalex(op): 10:02am On Jan 24, 2015
The Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) may devalue
the Naira again if the pressure on the currency
continues through the first half of 2015.
The pressure on the currency has been
sustained as falling oil prices and the general
elections intensifies.
In its report titled: Macroeconomic and Banking
Sector Themes for 2015, Nigeria's Guaranty
Trust Bank (GTB) wrote, "As pressure continues
to increase in the first half, we expect that the
CBN may consider another devaluation within a
range of N175-N180 per USD, as reserves and
oil prices continue to fall."
Last year November, the CBN devalued the
naira from N150 - N160 to one U.S dollar to
N160 - N176, as it struggles to preserve
macroeconomic stability. It also increased its
benchmark interest rate to a record high of 13
percent from 12 percent. But the conditions that
brought about the devaluation still exist and may
get worse in the coming months.
Oil prices have fallen to less than $45 per barrel
from over $100 in less than a year, and analysts
have predicted a further decline as the oil glut
which brought about the price crash has shown
no sign of ending soon.
Currencies of several emerging economies were
hit by the US Federal Reserve's tapering policy,
but currencies of oil-based economies such as
the naira and the Russian rouble have been hard
hit. "The commencement of normalisation of
monetary policy by the U.S. Federal Reserve…
has accentuated capital outflows," CBN
Governor, Godwin Emefiele said last November.
As at January 5, the CBN pegged the country's
forex reserve at $34.49 billion, a $20 million gain
over December, 2014's $34.47 billion. The apex
bank says rising internal demand for the dollar
had been exerting more pressure on the foreign
exchange market. This is expected to continue
until after the general elections in February.
When the new CBN governor assumed office
last year, he promised to gradually reduce
interest rates. "We shall pursue a gradual
reduction in interest rates," he had said in his
presentation.
However, the forces, that necessitated the
devaluation of the Naira also necessitated a
hike in interest rate. The CBN thus raised its
benchmark interest rate by 100 basis points to
13 percent. GTBank however expects it to
further increase it by 50 – 100 basis points.
According to the bank, a combination of reduced
liquidity in banks, rising costs of funding,
continued pressure on the Naira and rising yields
in fixed income investments will compel banks
to hike lending rates. Lending rates, it predicts,
may end up rising by as high as 100 – 200
basis points.
As at last year September, inflation was pegged
at 8.3 percent, but despite the devaluation of
the Naira in November, last year ended with
inflation actually reversing to 8 percent.
The rate averaged 12.29 percent from 1996 until
2014, reaching an all time high of 47.56 percent
in January of 1996 and a record low of -2.49
percent in January of 2000, according to Trading
Economics. GTBank, Nigeria's third largest bank,
however expects inflation to pick-up to low
double digits by the middle of the year.
The GTBank wants the CBN to show a more
proactive stance this year. Policies fostering
currency stability, economic improvement and
the continued development of growth sectors
are expected of the apex bank, as there is a
limit to what can be achieved solely through
monetary policy.

Nairaland GeneralDHQ Blogsite Restored After Hackers Failed In Attempt To Infiltrate Database by eemalex(op): 8:30am On Jan 24, 2015
Director Defence Information, Maj. General
Chris Olukolade says the information website
of the Defence Headquarters,
defenceinfo.mil.ng, which was hacked into
at the early hours of Friday, January 23,
2015 has been restored.
According to a statement by Olukolade,
posted on PRNigeria.com, the site was
defaced at the front end. He said the
hackers could, however, not infiltrate the
database of the site. Preliminary
investigation shows that the attack was
from the end of the site’s host.
“One ImaSadiq who posed as the hacker has
been knocked off and normal activities on
the channel has resumed,” he stated.
the Defence Information Director added that
it was apparent that the blogsite was
targeted because of its role as a major
channel the military uses in disseminating
information on military and security activities
in Nigeria’s counter-terrorism campaign.

PoliticsElections Hold As Scheduled, Jega Insists by eemalex(op): 8:24am On Jan 24, 2015
The Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC), Friday, rejected the call
for the postponement of the presidential
election and declared that Nigerians will
vote their next leader on February 14.
INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega,
made the declaration in Abuja, at a
workshop organised by the commission on
“Mitigation of Violence In Election”.
The National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel
Sambo Dasuki (rtd), had, on Thursday in
London, canvassed for the postponement of
the polls and disclosed that he had made
his view on the matter known to the
Chairman of INEC. A chieftain of the
People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief
Olabode George had supported the call by
Dasuki, saying he had not even collected his
PVC.
However, speaking on the issue on Friday,
Jega said the commission had at no time
sat down to review the date of the election
despite the challenges related to the
distribution of the PVCs and insisted that
the commission was working round the clock
to ensure all PVCs were distributed .
Jega reminded the people that the
commission had released the elections
timetable about a year ago and had been
vigorously working to meet up with the date.
He declined comment on Dasuki’s call, but
said, however, “In any case, whatever I say
is the commission’s position and the
commission has not discussed this matter
and taken a position on it. So, I want to be
more patient on this. I cannot comment on
this for now.”
According to him, the commission should not
be blamed for people who refused to come
out and collect PVCs which had been
produced and sent to various collection
points across the country. He said the
commission had continued to produce PVCs
to meet the 68 million registered voters
already captured and certified by the
commission to be genuine. He said about
four million cards were received by the
commission on Thursday.
Jega reiterated the position of INEC that the
election would be conducted with only the
PVCs which had been tested and proven to
be valid for elections.

PoliticsJonathan Releases N26bn For Dry Season Farming by eemalex(op): 8:16am On Jan 24, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan has approved
the release of N26 billion for the 2015 dry
season farming in the country.
He announced this in Abuja, on Friday, at the
AGRIFEST 2015, organised to mark the four
years of agricultural reforms and
implementation of the agriculture
transformation agenda.
“To further boost your efforts to produce
more food for our nation, I am pleased to
announce to you here today the release of
another N26 billion towards the 2015 dry
season farming programme,” he said.
“I am here today as your president. With
your support, I hope to be here next year as
your president and then, I will do even more
for you, for our farmers and for our dear
country,” Jonathan added.
He said that the nation was proud of
Nigerian farmers as thousands of jobs were
being created for the youth through
agriculture, this he notes, calls for
celebration.
Jonathan told the farmers that his
administration’s aim is to empower them
and make them productive enough to
become net exporters of food.
He said it was the reason government was
improving irrigation programmes nationwide,
adding that “farmers are now producing
more.”

if most countries dont have LTE, what has that got to do with the talk here? who fuckn cares? talk was about comparison of download speeds of the phone this thread is meant for with other faster phones (not necessarily LTE fones).
"Am simply telling you that in a case where your carrier limits bandwidth and can't provide the maximum speed of your phone network port, the speed of a download would be limited to that bandwidth provided by the carrier not the speed of the phone."- and once again like i have been telling you, even if your carrier puts a limit, a faster fone will ALWAYS download faster.

"if the Etisalat 2.82mbps is slow, I must say your brain works slowly, You should know that network speed varies at different regions."
you no need vex bros. you only need to understand. see that Speedtest result? its 2Mbps which is 2 megabits per second and not 2 megabytes per second.... i hope you know they are different. if you accept that, then you will realise how slow it is.
350kBs is 2Mbps I know you don't even know how to convert this.

I see you don't have a point as you can't read between lines to comprehend something. Did you even read where they mentioned that most country haven't adapted the LTE network?

By the way what is your argument and what is mine.

Am simply telling you that in a case where your carrier limits bandwidth and can't provide the maximum speed of your phone network port, the speed of a download would be limited to that bandwidth provided by the carrier not the speed of the phone.
As you can read in that article, they hardly talked about a phone, they mostly talked about the carrier and Network type(HSPA+, LTE, Wiimax).
So if you cant understand me well just close this book.
Thanks.

Nice analogy, but at thesame time, you need to understand that the person that can swallow 10 balls of amala in 1minute must have "something" that makes him capable of swallowing more amala. so even if maximum downloading speed allowed by a network is 2mb/s, the smaller capacity device cannot attain attain that speed. all similar devices that have that "something" also downloading on that network will have thesame speed, maybe 1.9mb/s and the smaller capacity device with its own similar devices will be downloading at a lower speed than 1.9mb/s, and you mus know that:
in networking, this amala is not served independently grin they are actually eating from same plate, so here is the problem, the size of amala the 10mb/s capable guy can hold in his hand is more than what the opposition can hold. what if his one swallow is 2times that of the oppostion?? tricky huh wink wink
and what if again the total balls of amala to be swallowed (data to be dowlnoaded) is 4 swallow balls? and mama put (ISP) says 2 swallow per minute? and the positive factor we are considering here is "time" who finishes his own balls 1st abi?- d big guy will finish his own 2 and download will be completed maybe in 1min while you are still on yours at 1min and some seconds over... even if you will finish 2 balls in 2min, big guy would have finshed and moved on with life cheesy
Read this article and see why there is little or no difference between the 21 and 42 as far as our carrier controls bandwidth

www.androidauthority.com/hspa-vs-lte-which-one-is-better-78120/

here you would see a place where they talked about most network providers around the world using the 21mbps so am very sure Nigeria is included.

See pics of speed of Glo and Etisalat on Innjoo i1s
