Tamee: Hi guys,
I took my computer based test on Saturday Dec 10, got my results today.
I paid a week before the test because a school demanded the result after giving me admission, so I had one week to prepare. I did what I usually do when I need information urgently, visit Nairaland
I saw some links to prepare here but I focused on the study materials on the British IELTS site for TEST TAKERS, I did all the practice and test for 3 days, then I paid $5 on ieltsbuddy website and I practised the listening and reading tests only.
I also watched some youtube videos esps IELTS Liz cos she was mentioned on this thread. At the end, I couldn't prepare much because I work from 8am to 9pm daily and I get home tired.
I aced it on my first try. But I have to say that I am pretty good at using words and I have a blog so English doesn't scare me. I had issues with the speaking test because I am an introvert and talking for like 20 minutes non-stop was too much for me, but thankfully, I passed that too.
If anyone needs any help, I am here. And I appreciate everyone that dropped tips on this thread cos I saw what to expect and I realize that following the rules and reading instructions goes a long way. this is nice...pls I will need ur help on sometins I don't know anything about the exam..I would appreciate if you'll give me a helping hand..as am yet take the exam. |

IFSHR: While filling application, most schools will request for your passport number and expiry date...in most cases that part is always asterisk*, meaning it is compulsory. You might have to wait till you get your passport. thanks alot |

I would still upload the NECO results if the drop down option only shows WAEC
Please email the Uni admission team and tell them the option you chose and confirm it is okay
Cheers what did they mean when they say I need b profile in my waec or neco results to apply? |

Contacting UKVI about you visa application: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk/y
GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Your academic transcript. 2. Your CV/resume (postgraduate study). 3. Copy of your passport. 4. Reference/recommendation letters/Contacts. Many schools take recommendations by email – they ask you for your recommender(s)’s emails and send them the link to fill in their recommendations. Alternatively, you can send a scanned copy of the recommendation letter on the letter-headed paper of your recommender’s company via email or upload via the student portal depending on your school. 5. A personal statement. This is your opportunity to sell yourself as an excellent fit for the school/course. 6. An English language qualification such as IELTS, SSEC or WAEC C6 or above or TOEFL. Some schools accept a letter from your previous institutions stating that you were fully taught in English. Find out what your school will accept from you. Note: Many schools will require you to submit the bank statement or the proof of funds that you want to use before issuing your CAS. Also, have your travel history at hand as many schools will like to know if you have been refused visas previously and why to enable them to gauge your success at getting a visa. Declaring refusals to schools and UKVI doesn’t mean that your visa application will be rejected, it only means that some schools might decline your application due to the risk of your student refusal as a means to retain the integrity of their admission/CAS issuance processes as certain refusals cast negative light on the integrity of their processes.
Pls does UK school's accept neco results for undergraduate program? |
