Its possible They recognize you attended fgc interview bcoz same panelist were used. Just like my case in Ibadan. The Prof told me wat I even wore to the fgc interview, told me my course and class of degree when I went for the UK interview. Those guys has photographic memory

IFP is not the only school Ptdf recommended so why are we leaning on IFP alone. After all how many people were contacted for IFP.
.. France had the least number of contacted candidates after all.
Germany was 90 and China 47...France was about 8 or so..... Why are we using the least fraction to conclude for the majority

Let's get it straight, if you haven't been contacted by FGC just be praying for UK own. Only those contacted for the fgc via mail has d chances to be on the final list. Those contacted by mail knows how many days it took dem to be rally round to get those documents ready. Even the China scholars knows police report isn't easy at all. Just pray for UK if you didn't get d fgc mail. Lets be realistic and stop deceiving ourselves

Bro these people are professionals. Better still they hire professionals for this exercise.
You don't expect them to start blabbing that hey; "Those who were sent mails are the candidates selected while those who didn't get mails are unsuccessful".
At the first stage of screening, it was obvious to applicants who were not sent invitations via mail and sms that they were not successful.

I wish you don't expect them to publish two lists, one for successful candidates and another for unsuccessful.

Remember at the first stage you were sent an email and sms for interview while others didn't get. Yet you didn't think of it as an opaque process. I think you are just being egocentric.

Ptdf has lost the chance of surprising anybody. Anything that drags for too long loses its taste. I am of the opinion that this year's scholarship process, especially the FGC was/is poorly managed.

When was last year list released? When you know den you know. Last year list lingered till almost September. For the records.....

I'm PhD too. Applied for Lyon. No contact. If they have been contacted then someone either directly or by proxy would have put it here or in the WhatsApp group. Plus no one here is hinting us on any follow up from contacted PhD candidates (even from other schools). At least, one pertinent thing is assignment of research supervisors.

Lets call a spade a spade.... As long as you were contacted via mail for the f/g/c you are already in the final list... Those who got China were told to do police character report so as to facilitate their resident permit in China and also help in processing their visa..... Does DAT strike a cord Stop your speculations bro. If you haven't been contacted for f/g/c just start praying for UK own..... All those contacted for f/g/c already got the scholarship

Please Ooooooo....This thread also has many scholars who schooled abroad so please lets face the real biz. 13 awards and distinction does not guarantee Ptdf scholarship..... You competitors are those from your state of origin. If you are from the south , your credentials should humble because there are people with similar profile and journal publications. I know a Masters student DAT got the f/g/c he had ten 10 publications so let's just chill. I repeat with all your dossiers and no publication is a question mark. Even in this free tuition schools like China before bagging your MSC you must publish at least two journals so am surprised with all tour résumé no publication

I'm a PhD applicant and was a PTDF scholar, I haven't bn contacted but I'm very hopeful. I think we need to be patient, I applied to both the FGC and UK schemes.
I can tell you AUTHORITATIVELY that the marking scheme for PhD applicants posted on this forum is wrong, at least its not what was on the table while I was being interviewed. I remember that qualification (Bachelors plus Masters) was a max of 30 marks.
If you think you did well and you haven't bn contacted, remain hopeful..

I think education in UK is overrated. Germany is better. Although me personally thinks China is the new world and would like to study there. So for me, UK is not even an option..

How sure are you of job opportunities in China while doing Masters..... When China's population is in billions

you think everything is about money? schools like Cambridge, Imperial & Oxford are among the best in the world - although PTDF did not give us the chance to choose among Cambridge & Oxford but UCL, Imperial and Manchester are there to choose from

Will schooling in cambridge make shell or chevron employ you?
