Hahaha.those ethnic claims have no solid base.rivers state has several ethnic groups.kalabari-ijaw,okrika-ijaw,igbani-ijaw+ibo,andoni-ijaw,eleme-ogoni,ogoni-ogoni,ekpeye,obolo,oyigbo-igbo,etche-igbo,ikwerre-igbo,ndoni-igbo,ogba-igbo,egbema-igbo,ndoki-igbo,engeni.
We can count 16 of them here.lol

FUNNY ENOUGH I DID NOT SEE YORUBA THERE.but that does not mean there isnt trace of it in that family.The bolded part is not aimed at yorubas but becomerich.he claims to see everything via satelite including that michelle obama is yoruba.

@poster.this problem is not perculiar to yorubas alone,but the entire nigerians.the quest by igbos for education was borne out of challenges brought about by the civil war and like the case of yorubas will reach anticlimax when an igbo finally rules nigeria.i personally believe that all nigerians whether hausa,ijaw,urhobo,igbo,yoruba are marginalised by a few nigerians .what we really have in nigeria are two tribes-leaders and masses.

@Becomerich,u dont do your google well.the igbo area is by far the most densely populated area in west africa.slightly more densely populated than nile delta in egypt.if u zoom that google earth,u ld discover that almost the entire southeast is built up.at high altitudes some houses may be blocked by trees.

Whoever is involved in this sudden demand by all cities in nigeria for a state is a joker.initially,it was only 1 additional state for the southeast that was the issue and there suddenly came deliberate plan by other nigerians to rubbish that demand for justice.if states are created in other zones and they become 8,southeast will get extra 3 to still balance the equation.

@Becomerich.a whole lot of blacks in america believe they are of igbo origin and have even gone as far as proving that with dna evidence.an example is t.d. Jakes.this belief is based mainly on complexion and i cant be dull enough to believe it.even if we prove that george bush,obama,clinton,reagan,nixon,kennedy and lincoln all have yoruba roots,of what use would that be for us nigerians.lets just make our own nigerian obama and leave americans with theirs.

becomerich,orisa was also used in igbo.we had that in pre-colonial times.orisakwe,orisameka,oliseh,olisa,olisaemeka,osaeloka are all igbo names.we use orisa while anambra and delta use olisa,osa or oliseh.i have no credible evidence to prove the ethnic origin of african-americans but their colour suggests they might not be made up of 50% single ethnic group.

The name Alalibo sounds kalabari to me.hence his disagreement with state creation from his area is same as mine.nothing can be achieved through division.

From the onset there has been extreme difficulty writing in igbo language.dialects in igbo might be up to a thousand.two types of central igbo have developed in recent years.one is anambra+enugu and the other imo+abia.the anambra+enugu is mutually intelligible to anambra,delta,enugu and parts of ebonyi,whereas the other is well understood in imo,abia,rivers and ebonyi.an example is the english word 'now' which in various igbo dialects are ugbua,gbo,uduu,nduu,kita,wee,mbra,gbowa etc.
Imo+abia adopted 'ugbua' while anambra+enugu adopted 'kita'.
