A federal university is more tolerant when compared to a private institution and that applies to federal workplaces also.

What you can try in a federal firm and not get reprimands can get you sacked in a private firm...

Nonetheless, I truly agree with this your school pf thought that says; "I am beginning to learn that the best of humanity isn't in the church but in ordinary people doing the right thing time and time again."

This isn't a private or federal firm affair. This is a Christain school vs a none Christian school. Babcook should have acted in line with what they preach instead they did the opposite, thats the bone of contention.

Nigerians and blame game are like 5 & 6. Some blame PDP for where we are currently. Some blame APC for the current hardship. Some blame the founding fathers for their greed that they believe destroyed the great promise Nigeria had when it was formed. Some blame the British government. Some blame the military and all their many coup. Some even blame the citizens afterall leaders are the direct representation of the values of the people(in a sane country anyways). Some blame ethic divisions. Some blame the youths who are more interested in celebrities, drugs, their social class and the likes, than they are in the future of the country. Alot of them are willing to risk life and limb to leave this country. Many blame God for making them Nigerians in the 1st place

But let's put all that aside. We have blamed enough. We have abandoned the growth and future of Nigeria long enough. We have relegated the affairs of this country to the elite long enough. We have been spectators long enough. We have focused on irrelevant things long enough. We have ran away to other countries long enough.

Nairaland is a forum with incredibly brilliant Nigerians from different works of life, social class, connections and astounding experiences. This is a thread for everyone to come speak your truth on the way forward for Nigeria. How do we do better. As a member of the younger generation I believe strongly that the path a country takes can be altered by its people if they are willing and committed to the cause.

Like I said earlier lets put aside blame and ethnic warfare. Instead lets all brain storm and actively contribute to these questions. You mustn't answer all the questions. Just speak on the ones you feel strongly about and have ideas on how we move forward.

Note: These questions aren't exhaustive of all the issues in the country but just the few that I can think of currently.

1. What do we do now?
2. Are we ok with the status quo? China had one of the over 700 million poor citizens in 1990 now the no is down to 25 million. What did they do right how can we do the same?
3. How do we leverage the current human capital in the country?
4. What can big corporations and small ones do to make things better?
5. What can we do as citizens to move this country forward?
6. How do we put pressure on the government to implement favourable developmental initiatives?
7. How do we make our government institutions like the police, EFCc, CBN, military e.t.c more effective?
8. How do we pressurise the government to implement the adequate percentage of our annual budget on health, education and security?
9. How do we convince other Nigerians to pick future leaders not by parties but by their credentials and track record?
10. How do we make our votes count?
11. How do we pressurise our senators to implement new laws that promote national development and strongly discourage corruption?
12. How do we make sure the media is truly independent and unbiased and free to investigate and report the truth and only the truth.
13. How can more jobs be created?
14. How can this everlasting issue of power supply be finally arrested?
15. How do we change our escapism mind set to one of patriotism?
16. How do we make the youths more interested in the affairs of the country?
17. How do we restore the trust of the people in the judiciary?
18. How do we ensure affordable housing for all?
19. How do we become less affected by the fluctuations in fuel prizes?
20. How do we pressurise the NUT together with the ministry of education to increase the minimum standards for schools and the quality of teachers working there?
21. How can we develop our universities to become world class?
22. How do we stop letting religion and ethnicity divide us?
23. How can we make INEC more independent and accountable to the citizens and not the elite?
24. How do we improve the activities of NAFDAC and reduce almost to zero the amount of dangerous foodstuff in circulation.
25. How do we hold our leaders accountable more effectively?
26. How do we make sure we don't just talk here but actively put measures in place to see our goal of a greater Nigeria shine forth?

Batman is incredible no doubt, but Black panther is a beast. While Bruce has been training since his teens, The King has been training all his life. Couple with his god damn suit and superhuman strength, speed and agility (that can rival spider mans), coordination and stamina. His a foe batman won't survive fighting if they both met unprepared. While Bruce is a master tactician, T' Challa is also right up there too.

Prepared however now that could go either way as Batman is truly something. But the longer the fight progress the more likely Black panther would win as he can outlast Bruce due to his superhuman stamina.

Just watched the defenders.


It was nice but I must say I expected more. Iron Fist was disappointing as always. I mean for two straight series this dude just wouldn't grow up. I mean this show has manage to rehabilitate the disaster known as Iron Fist.

Really would have liked a different big bad than The Hand. The have just been very dull from Daredevil s2 to Iron Fist and now Defenders.

1 thing I learnt though is that the defenders can't take on the Avengers, I mean they are not just strong enough. I use to think that they could but not so sure anymore.

When sansa wanted to kill children and the entire family of karstark and the other one, you all hailed her and even said she is getting smart and learning from cersei. Now, the table have turned and you have changed mouth yet again claiming that she did the right thing. For real?
One thing you have to know is that Arya is not aware about the night king, so her defending Jon is 100% legit.

Infact, Arya confirmed all what I have been saying all these while that Sansa is jealous and looking for a way to oust Jon. Before you comment and start defending, Arya knows Sansa very well, hence she read her like a book and stated the obvious.

Again when did Sansa demand the death of the children of the Karstark and Umber? Well done sir!

This episode was superb. No action but highly enjoyable. Here are my thoughts so far:

1. The Lannister's soldiers are a bunch of sissies. After watching dickon tarley and his father get burnt alive by drogon, they quickly bent a knee. Some were ready to prostrate sef. Lol.

2. Cersei is pregnant for Jamie once again and Jamie doesn't seem too happy about it.

3. Did the night king dispersed bran's warg from those raven? That's is awesome and powerful. This guy is currently unstoppable as it stands.

4. It is confirmed, Jon snow is a targeyrian as drogon the dragon acknowledges Jon's targeyrian heritage. Dany was even surprised. I expect to see Jon as king of the north and of all kingdom ride the dragon in season 8. This is bad news for Sansa and her fans.

5. Sansa is a jealous witch and even Arya noticed that. Sansa watched and kept quiet as other lords complained about Jon's absence without her putting them in order.
In Arya's words "You always liked nice things, it made you feel better than everyone." This is an indirect mockery of Sansa. Then Arya hits the nail on the head saying "And if Jon doesn't come back, you will need their support to get you what you truly want". This shows that Arya, Sansa's own sister knows that the useless one is trying to oust Jon indirectly so she can get full control.

6. Ser Davos is one of the best diplomats in game of thrones. I love the way he handled those lannisters guards with easy and bribed them to think all is well. Too bad Tyrion showed at the wrong time and those soldiers ended up dying for it.

7. Is good to see ser jorah looking fresh and clean again. But he has to accept that dany has friend zoned him.

8. Sam finally got some balls, stole some important books and set the rest on fire. The best part was when he rode of feeling all badass.

9. Little finger my man, this is one guy that everyone underrates in the show. He is very smart, cunny and tactical in his dealings. Loved the ways he watched Arya from the shadows, that will always give you the creeps. I believe that he is trying to set up a Sansa vs Arya fight but it might be exposed and he will likely pay for it with his life.

10. Beric meets with Jon snow. This is one of the plans the Lord of light has for him and Jon. Nero. Sold purpose is to help Jon, once that is accomplished, he will die finally.

Some of your conclusions are laughable makes me wonder if we really watch the same thing.

Firstly Lannister soilders bunch of sissies really. Tell me what you will do if a small boy of 9 uses a dragon you never thought existed to roast somebody you truly respect. And asked you to bend the knee, you will still stand there looking like a boss? Sure sure. SMH
