babanne: Egusi (yoruba) or egwusi(igbo) is made from melon seed.

As a yoruba man that was born & bread in oyo state, i can confirm to you that egusi is no.1 yoruba soup. in fact, as a youth i have worked severally on farmland where melon was cultivated & hatvested.i always enjoy the egusi soup.

i am also aware that igbo people also prepare the soup but in a slightly different way.
while in lagos,i used to enjoy akpu with the igbo version of the soup with or without bitter leaf.

Yoruba people how true is this? I have not seeing it in any yoruba restaurant over my 2 year in ibadan.

The visitors have arrived the South Eastern state and are expecting a favourable result on Sunday after leaving it all to play for during the first leg in Bujumbura

Having arrived Lagos Friday afternoon from Burundi, Vital'O FC shrugged off jet lag to embark on another flight to Port Harcourt same day before hitting Enugu by road by Friday night ahead of Sunday's Caf Champions League first round second leg tie against Enugu Rangers.

Vital'O kept their travel plans away from the purview of the Flying Antelopes but the club from East Africa have landed in Enugu in time for their Saturday’s evening work out and are raring to go against Rangers on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

It ended goalless when the teams met two weeks ago in Bujumbura and for Rangers to get to the next stage, they must score at least one unreplied goal.

Rangers media officer, Foster Chime said that Vital'O players and officials were advised to ply the Port Harcourt Airport after information got to them that the flight from Lagos to Enugu would only be leaving on Saturday morning.

Chime reasoned that since the team is billed to train at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium at exactly match time on Saturday leaving Lagos for Enugu on Saturday morning may hamper their preparation, hence the gesture for them to arrive Enugu on Friday night to have enough rest.

"I can tell you authoritatively that Vital'O are in town now. We went to accompany them to Enugu from Port Harcourt after we suggested they ply Port Harcourt Airport for their convenience. All is set for Sunday's match and Rangers too are ready to do Nigerians proud," Chime told Goal.com

The visiting side are expected to train at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Saturday evening by 4pm.
