Somewhere along ahoda, but family was in Rivers expecting their return, upon getting calls from kidnappers, it was reported to rumokoro police station alongside management of the transport company.

Unfortunately, the mum and daughters will not be able to tell anyone about the dastardly experience of hoodlums sleeping with them turn by turn in kidnappers den. What a wasted nation!
That is the dis heartening part. Thats one of the things that moved me to make this post. Damn they would be destabilised for a very long time. I just hope there are some of these NGos out there that would reach out to them or they would reach out to the NGOs. Because the truth is that it could happen to any one of us.
CrimeKidnap: Mum And Daughters Raped by Einterest(op):
Hi guys, so about three weeks back an uncle of mine was kidnapped on his way to Rivers state. The family went to the length and width of the world to raise 5 million naira. Upon his release and his return back home he was narrating his experience, mehn it was terrible. So he mentioned something that has been bothering me, he said in the vehicle, there was a lady and her 2 daughters. He said the kidnappers took turns rapping them( the mum and her two kids). They also collected 5m from that family.
Till now that's what is disturbing my mind even more than the kidnapping of my uncle. Cause I can't begin to imagine the trauma that helpless family has been through.

I don't understand how wicked people can be. You kidnapped people asked for ransome and still did this.

Note: Family went to the police station to report the kidnap, to be specific rumokoro police station and was told they would track them down that no body should pay any ransome. But that was only what the police said. And they were very non-chalant about it, now imagine that family being told that with that stupid attitude of the police.

I just decided to share this so people understand what others are going through. I begin to wonder are we mad in this country, how can a human being do this.huh

Congratulations Op, but why do you want to rub Peter to pay Paul? Please be decisive. You can't have your cake & eat it. Don't you think juggling between 2 jobs can affect your performance on both & you then lose both. Maybe they didn't tell you how demanding bank jobs are.

The HR officer of the bank is right, your first degree might pose an impediment to getting into the IT department of the bank.

If you're a Christian, ask for God's guidance. I will suggest you remain in the fintech company because that is were your passion is.
Thanks for this, I also understand where ur coming from, but the fintech is not assured...
You know how difficult it is to get an employment in Nigeria. What I even went through to get this one was not as easy. what if after 12 months da don't offer another contract that is my biggest fear. Then I go jobless again ?...
I want to see if the bank can place me in their I.T team as they can't give me any assurance, if they don't I would most likely drop them and if its too stressful I'll do same. Im just looking to be in the bank for like 2 to 3 months.

Since graduation I've got nobody there for me, no connection nothing. That's why I have to try to be as smart as possible

Lemme give you the kinda advice I would have taken if I was in your shoes. It is actually illegal to take up 2 pensionable jobs but try and work around it this way, try and pend the registration for pension at one of the jobs for as long as possible, keep posting them whenever they ask you to enrol for pension, dey use style and some excuses delay, at least till you can't anymore. Another thing I can advise you is to try and take into confidence one sure person at your pension fund administrator and seek his professional advice about how you can work around having 2 pensions. If you have not even done data capturing, you might even be lucky, just use 2 different pension fund administrators i.e ARM and Stanbic, when everything later settle maybe after a few years, you'll just move the 2 different pensions to another pension administrator(at different times o) and then run your biometrics.
Goodluck baba
Thanks very much for this, I decided to Email stanbic they confirmed two organisations can remit into my pfa acct.

A job in a fintech company pommels your CV into a higher class as you progress with them. It gives you more credence. Same CV you can get a better job offer in a bank any year you wish. Joggle the two for now, get paid twice and when there is a clash of schedules, pick the Company and respectfully quit the Bank.
Yh that's my plan, thanks, but the issue is that is there anything against getting pensions from two companies into ur pfa acct?

A quick info into my background, I am a graduate of a biological science course with a good grade, always had passion for tech. So i thought my self and I love it.

Now I recently got a job in one of the top fintechs companies as a graduate trainee(as an infrastructure engineer) where I have resumed, It is also a remote role and I am loving it here. Before i got the offer I had been making applications to so many places.

Now I got invited for a banks exams and interview I made it through and got an offer letter a couple of days ago. During the interview they mentioned they would consider posting me to their I.T dept based on my cv, but there is no assurance. I talked to some staffs at the bank they said its possible to switch departments but it can be cumbersome some times especially for I.T.

Here comes the problem, the fintech graduate trainee is just a 12 month training program where they said they would try their best to retain us. And it is remote and not stressful at all the pay is average(above 100k) for now, but if they finally keep you on permanent basis after the graduate trainee programme your salary would jump by over 200%. But the permanent role after the 12 months is not assured.

The bank that is assured the issue is the department. Their Hr guys said because of my first degree it might be a bit difficult.
If the fintech were to offer me a permanent contract today ill leave the bank.

So here is what I'm planning to do, To juggle the two jobs for like the next 8 months to see what the fintech has to offer since its not stressful and it is remote. Now the issue is that can I do this, is it illegal? the two companies are full time pensionable jobs. Or which in your opinion should I drop

Advice would be highly appreciated.
CareerJob Advice: Bank Or I.T by Einterest(op): 5:12pm On Oct 04, 2022
Hello all ,
I'm a graduate of biochem and trained my self in various it skills. I recently got a contract role as an engineer(it) that pays around 90k for one year with a 50% chance of being a full staff after one year. Where salary could be increased to about 200k.. Now I got in as a graduate trainee in one of these banks and salary from what I heard is about 200k.

During the interview cause of my cv the hr guys at the bank asked if I would be interested in working at their I.T department and I said yes, they however said they can't promise anything yet.

My delima;
1. I have no experience in banking. I'm majorly interested in I.T but as stated earlier the bank could not promise.

2. The current place I work has an excellent work culture, but 50% chance of being retained

3. I have heard how brutal banks can be In terms of sacking, I belive as a graduate trainee it shouldn't be that bad.

4. I'm also passionate about entrepreneurship, I believe banking would help me along that part.

5, Someone told me once I'm in the system(banking) It would be easy to switch to I.T even if they post me to another department.

Ps: please if u have experience working in the bank your input would be appreciated,, I would like to get an overview of the work culture in banks, how easy it is to switch to another department. And most importantly job security as a full staff
