A few years after Chinese OEMs started focusing on the Nigerian smartphone market–ending the Blackberry era and ushering in the Android revolution–things have really changed and Nigeria can now boast to be the largest mobile market in Africa. Just after Tecno Mobile revolutionized its business and ventured into the smartphone market, Android OS smartphones became accessible to a lot of average Nigerians at a time when Blackberry’s market share was at its peak. Fast forward to the present, the competition is getting even more tight with Infinix, Innjoo, Oppsson, Wiko and other companies trying to win the heart of Nigerians. New smartphones ranging from low-end devices to high-end gadgets are released into the market every now and then. But the question is this: Do these companies really know what Nigerians want? Judging with the new devices in the market now, it is obvious that some know exactly what Nigerians want and fashion their products based on these basic needs. An average Nigerian don’t really know what NFC does and don’t really care if a smartphone has it. Even people using smartphones with NFC enabled hardly use it. We take a look at the 7 basic features an average Nigerian cares for in a smartphone. 1. Battery In a country with a world record epileptic power supply, any smartphone with an efficient and strong battery that can last the whole day is automatically a winner. This is so crucial that most people would never go for a device with a weak battery even if all the features in the world are packed into it with a very cheap price. Also read: 5 Tips to Prolong your Smartphone’s Battery Life Nobody likes running out of battery when power supply isn’t even guaranteed. It’s either the battery is strong, or the phone comes with a power bank. 2. Camera I’ve come to realize that an average Nigerian wants to hear stuffs like 13Mp, 16MP… it seems those huge numbers are magical. Whether the camera has a Carl Zeiss lens isn’t important, and I’m not sure an average Nigerian knows what Optical Image Stabilization means. As long as the resolution sounds pretty huge and the produced image is clear and sharp, the smartphone is likely to sell. 3. Durability The truth is that nobody wants to buy a smartphone that won’t withstand abuse. People want phones that can be dropped mistakenly and still work. Also read: 10 Tips to Fully Utilize and Optimize your Android Smartphone 4. Speed & Performance At this point, a phone that isn’t fast enough isn’t for an average person. Almost everyone uses Facebook, WhatsApp an BBM all at once. A smartphone should be able to run these basic apps simultaneously and conveniently whether or not its a quad-core processor phone or it’s got 2GB RAM. Device speed and performance is a very important factor. 5. Internal Storage or Free SD Card People want enough space on their device, a large internal storage means a lot. And again, if a device comes with a free 16GB SD card or more, it’s can be a selling point. No one wants to run out of space. HD movies alone eat a lot of space not to mention “heavy” Android games. A limited storage that’s not expandable isn’t for Nigerians, trust me. 6. Screen Size A device with a 3.5″ screen? Nah… it’s probably the kind of phone you would buy for a kid. 7. Price Nigeria may now be the largest economy in Africa but the truth remains that it’s still a growing economy. The price placed on a device will play major role in determining how many units will be sold. The lower, the better. Geeks and people who understand the technology behind these gadgets actually do want more but they are not the majority. Will a time come when the majority would prefer a Snapdragon processor to a MediaTek processor? I mean a time when people will realize that a huge resolution doesn’t really mean great pictures? That remains to be seen. http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_110583097.xhtml?tema=188

I saw this on spaceloaded.com, and I’m curious too. In 2015, we will see less of Tiwa Savage when compared to previous years because she and her husband are expecting their first baby. This means that she may release some singles but her public presence, music videos, shows and outdoor activities will reduce significantly; she may not be physically up to it. This leaves a big void in the industry this year and begs the question, who will fill the tiwa savage void in 2015. What would she have to do to get our attention and create impact in Nigerian Music. Can she do it in 2015? I don’t know who SHE is, but there is a massive opportunity and I believe it can be taken advantage of only in 2015, because Tiwa will be right back in 2016. Who do you think will fill the void? 1. Emma Nyra 2. Victioria Kimani 3. Chidinma 4. Niyola 5. Lola Rae 6. Yomi Alade 7. Mochedda 8. Seyi Shay 9. Di’ja 10. News Reaching us from spaceloaded.com How else can you describe this shocker? A propaganda campaign is running on AIT against the APC presidential candidate, yet Buhari is defeating Jonathan with over 75% in an online poll that is conducted by the same AIT. This is serious o! AIT has since last Saturday been running a documentary aimed at digging some of Buhari’s past activities while in office. The hour-long documentary, “The Real Buhari”, reportedly costs the Jonathan campaign N5million each time it is aired. The campaign also made a copy of the documentary available online but rather than do damage to Buhari’s support, it seems to have further emboldened his supporters to troop online to vote massively for him. In similar online polls conducted by Sahara Reporters, Buhari also defeated Jonathan by a wide margin. Jonathan’s camp need to change their strategy, time is running. Source- bbm channel- C00241808

Unknown to many Tuface and Pero Adeniyi the mother of three of his seven children have been in touch despite the fact that Tuface married Annie when Pero had just brought to bed his 6th child, their third together. It is also whispered that Tuface is a lover of his kids and makes sure that all his children from the three woman (Sunmbo,Pero and Annie) have contact with one another and he does not fail in his duty as Father to all his seven kids. According to SDK, whenever he is in America, he visits Pero and his kids and spends time with them but this does not go down well with his wife Annie Idibia. According to insiders, ”Annie has been fighting Pero to stay away from Tuface and she does not want him to have any contact whatsoever with Pero or the kids she had for him but the musician has turned a blind eye to her plea and this results in constant fights between them, forget all the instagram display you see”. This kissing picture and others that looked cosy of Tuface and Pero together was ALLEGEDLY taken at Rumours nightclub on Sunday night of January 26,2015. My source squeals further ”I dont know if they planned to meet there or it was a coincidence but Pero and Tuface were at the club together and Annie stormed in ready for a fight, infact she was ready to tear down the place because Tuface had not been home for days due to another bout of nagging on the pero issue. Pero and Tuface were seated at the VIP section all cosy and laughing and having the time of their lives and when Annie stormed in,the club management sensed trouble and asked her to come with them into a room so that Tuface could join her there and talk things out. But when Annie went into the room, she was locked in for some time and by the time she was let out,the fun was over and Pero had left whilst Tuface was about to leave. The photos were also snapped when Annie was locked in…” Sources claim that all is not well between Tuface and Annie because the frequent fight over Pero has taken a toll on their marriage and got worse when Annie allegedly sent threatening mails to Pero and wouldnt let her be to the embarassment of her hubby. It was recounted, Anytime Annie and tuface quarelled, she blamed it on Pero and vented out her anger via phone calls or strongly worded emails cussing out Pero and calling her kids names…” Sources also claim that Pero who is currently in Nigeria on a business trip is not romantically entangled with Tuface in any way and has moved on with her love life but that the two are however best of friends. http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_110749838.xhtml?tema=331

It is no longer rumour that the Koko Master, D’banj is broke, it is a known truth. It is now so bad that he can’t pay his staff, and many of them have called it quit. Please, let’s pray for him. Read the report below from Encomium Magazine IT has again emerged that pop star, D’Banj is allegedly broke. ENCOMIUM Weekly’s highly reliable sources have confirmed, claiming that the A-list artiste now finds it difficult to pay his staff. We were told that some of his personal staffers are grumbling over unpaid salaries even as many have called it quits with his team. “D’Banj and some of his workers are at loggerheads over unpaid salaries. Chu-Chu and Moses have already been withdrawn from his management for now. Things are no longer at ease with the Koko master.” Late last year, news filtered into town that the millionaire artiste might be sued for a debt of over $240,000! A technology company, MindHub Technologies headed by one Henry Ojogho claimed he is even owing the company yet another N15 million. According to MindHub, D’Banj, through his company, DKM Media Limited, obtained a loan of over N60 million from them in January 2013, and has not paid back the said sum despite signing an undertaking to do so. In addition, the technology company claimed that the entertainer has issued two cheques already, one on December 20, 2013 and another on January 20, 2014, both of which had to be returned unpaid after presentation because the pop star’s account was not liquid enough to offset the debt. MindHub had threatened to drag the Koko master to court this month if he failed to clear the $240,000 he allegedly owes the technology company. It is unlikely that D’Banj has settled with his alleged creditors. It has also been rumoured that the artiste equally has troubled business transactions with some prominent Nigerians, the facts of which have not been ascertained by ENCOMIUM Weekly. Interestingly, D’Banj has maintained disturbing silence on the heels of the many debt scandals he is swimming in. The much he had said about this was a tweet, “Silence…Hear (sic) is my response to the false rumours.” He also told ENCOMIUM Weekly before the tweet he sent out weeks back, that his response is the video of his collaborative remix of Oritsefemi’s Double Wahala. He spoke through his promoter, Ayo Shonaiya. Fresh efforts to hear from D’Banj on Saturday, January 10, 2015, was not fruitful as the celebrated entertainer didn’t pick his call. He also didn’t respond to the allegation of owing staff salary as a result of his alleged financial travails. Our SMS read: “Sir, ENCOMIUM Weekly wants your reaction to fresh allegation that you owe some of your staff. Rumours even have it you’ve disengaged some of them. We need to hear your side of the story. Thanks, Associate Editor.” D’Banj’s silence has given credence to speculations that the talented crooner, who has a management deal with Kanye West’s Good Music team is going through financial stress. His visibility during the yuletide and release of a single has not changed this perception. A multi-millionaire and entrepreneur, Dapo Oyebanji (that’s his real names) has scores of investments that span oil and gas, manufacturing, merchandising, among other business concerns. http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_110749838.xhtml?tema=320 Together with his erstwhile partner-producer, Don Jazzy, he confessed he shared over N1 billion (in Mavin Records) before he pulled out of the group in 2012

TEXT: GENESIS 1:24-25 Frankenstein’s monster, the science fiction whose creator found himself helpless to save himself and the environment from the deeds of what he formed, is an abysmally poor imitation of the beings created by Jehovah God. He is a far cry from man, the one created in the image of God. The Almighty exercises absolute control over man and any works of His hands. Although God said to man: “Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and upon the earth,” He still reserves to Himself the ultimate powers of arbitration and control. Contrary to the blasphemous teaching of evolution, God created man and the universe. He is watching over His handiwork though Satan tried to destroy it by causing the fall of man in Eden. God has set aside a time for the restoration of the dignity of man. He is doing it through the provision of the last Adam, Jesus Christ. Redeemed, believers are now empowered to reject the deceit of the devil. Jesus and His saints will soon reign to put an end to ages of depravity and destruction wreaked on the world by Satan and his demonic followers. Redeemed man will recover lost ground: “And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (Revelation 21:4). THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God who created man will have the last say. http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_111808794.xhtml?tema=9 |

There are two things to ask yourself if you have a problem with body odor Am I healthy? Am I using the right soap and skin care products? You may have noticed “Do I shower often enough” was left out. That’s because when the body is healthy, showering is about removing dirt and odors from sources other than our body. Objectionable body odor is a result of imbalanced PH, imbalanced hormones, a heavy toxic load, damaging skin care products, and/or imbalanced gut flora. Health First, let’s talk about health. If you are not healthy or your body is toxic, it will affect your body odor. Vaginal infections can produce a foul odor, and body fluids, including sweat, may give off a foul odor when you are ill, just as sinus infections or infections in the mouth can produce bad breath. If you are healthy, your sweat will not smell foul. It will actually smell good. Clean up your body from the inside out. Eat a healthy diet that consists of 80% fresh, organic, raw fruits and vegetables. The fiber will cleanse your digestive system, sweeping out old rotting food and debris while working as a prebiotic that helps maintain a high level of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Detox twice a year. Get those chemicals, parasites, and the extra yeast out of your body. Bathing and showering This is such an individual decision that should be based on need, not someone else’s idea of cleanliness. In the U.S. our cultural norm is a daily bath or shower, those some shower morning and night. If you are healthy and you aren’t actually dirty, daily showers or baths are not necessary. Some may argue that even with toxin free skin care products, daily washing does more harm than good due to washing away healthy flora that develops on skin and controls body odor. Bathe or shower as often as necessary–not more. Why you should use organic soap There are two reasons you should use organic soap. First of all, our skin soaks up most of the chemicals we put on it. When we use conventional products, those chemicals are pulled into our bloodstream. Read the labels on soap scrubs and bar soap and ask yourself if you would want to eat those ingredients, because in a roundabout way, that’s exactly what you are doing every time you use them. Secondly, organic soaps are better for your skin and they stop the body odor cycle caused by conventional products. Our skin is part of the body’s first line of defense against pathogens. Not only do we produce natural oils to keep our skin healthy, our skin is host to many beneficial bacterial, just like our gut. Conventional soaps, especially anti-bacterial soaps, are the greatest cause of body odor because they disrupt the body’s natural defense against bad bacteria. Conventional , anti-bacterial soaps strip the skin of natural oils and kill the bacteria. The problem is, they kill the beneficial bacteria that naturally keeps the bad bacteria (the smelly bacteria) in check. You bathe, you kill off the good bacteria. You sweat, the bad bacteria start to multiply and there isn’t enough good bacteria to keep them in check. You bathe, the cycle continues. This is the same process we experience with deodorants. Any time we strip natural oils and kill off beneficial bacteria, we set up an unhealthy cycle that merely perpetuates the use of conventional products. We smell worse, we use more and more. This is how they make money. Organic soaps maintain the natural balance of bacteria on your skin. As the days pass, you will notice that you have less body odor. You will no longer need to use deodorant. You just don’t smell bad anymore. You may find that you only need to bathe every other day, every three days, or maybe only once a week. Even if you maintain the habit of a daily bath or shower, your skin will be happier and healthier. Source- from a friend's channel http://pin.bbm.com/C00241808 C00241808 C00241808

» Missing AirAsia plane ‘likely at the bottom of the sea’ as experts say it was flying too slow After calling off the search and rescue last night, due to bad weather conditions, it’s been revealed that ,missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 was flying ‘about 160 km/h too slow’ when it encountered bad weather conditions. It is also said to be likely at the bottom of the ocean. The Airbus A320, went missing at 6.17am local time on Sunday morning while travelling from Indonesia to Singapore with 162 people on board Today, the head of Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency, Henry Bambang Sulistyo, said that the plane is most likely ‘at the bottom of the sea’. ‘Based on the coordinates given to us and evaluation that the estimated crash position is in the sea, the hypothesis is the plane is at the bottom of the sea,That’s the preliminary suspicion and it can develop based on the evaluation of the result of our search.’ Aviation expert Geoffrey Thomas spoke to several check captains and believes the pilot of the QZ8501 encountered difficult weather conditions but flew too slow in his efforts to avoid it. ‘The QZ8501 was flying too slow, about 100 knots which is about 160 km/h too slow. At that altitude that’s exceedingly dangerous,’ ‘Pilots believe that the crew, in trying to avoid the thunderstorm by climbing, somehow have found themselves flying too slow and thus induced an aerodynamic stall similar to the circumstances of the loss of Air France AF447 to crash in 2009,’ Mr Thomas told AAP. The Air France AF447 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean in 2009 while en route from Rio De Janeiro to Paris. Source - http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_110749829.xhtml?tema=158

Singer turned writer Etcetera also thrashes wizkid’s In My Bed Song. Read below… Six weeks ago, I was in Benin City to support a friend who was getting married that weekend. We drove down to Ugbowo campus of UNIBEN, laughing along the way at bini guys and the way they pronounce certain words. We got stuck in an unusual traffic jam and my friend who was driving, took the opportunity to reply his pings, pausing only to turn up the radio when Wizkid’s “In My Bed” came on. A few seconds later, he increased the volume even more. I accepted that since I was in his car, I had to endure his choice of songs. So I listened, trying to figure out why he was interested in that particular song. Though the melody has this jingle-catchy feel, everything else about the song is horrible. The mix brought to mind those days when Nigerian studio engineers were still learning how to mix. The overall instrumentation is noisy with the kick pitched high, like a headache. Played on F-sharp minor, which is a predominantly high key for most people, but the struggling syncopation over a lazy bass line weighs the whole song relentlessly down. My friends know that I have a crazy physical reaction to songs, mostly when I love it. In this instance, I was gasping for breath by the end, as if the song was trying to strangle me. I thanked God I was still alive when it finally ended. But as the traffic lingered my friend put down his phone, this time to surf through radio stations. Again, he landed on “In My Bed.” That was when I really got scared, thinking I was going to pass out. This year, we have had a mix of both good and bad songs. Wizkid’s “In my bed” is one of those ear worms you don’t want to get into your brain space for three minutes and 46 seconds. Those who will say “WTF” is Etcetera saying? I want you to note that I have a zero interest in persuading you to agree with me. If you enjoy “In My Bed,” I won’t dream of changing your mind. I heard it again last weekend at my manager’s party, and for a second, I thought it was some kind of pain killer advert, because the radio station where I have my show, currently runs an ad that sounds like a more palatable version of it. My Christmas day was almost ruined when a caller on my show requested “In My Bed” for his girlfriend. Because Christmas only comes once in a year, I decided to grant her wish, but as soon as I clicked play, I had the sort of physical reaction associated with someone suddenly coming in contact with bees. And before my mind could process what was happening, I hammered the stop button quickly, arrgh! If you are one of those who regard this song as a standard club track with all the necessary “thumps and bumps” and you are angry at my loathing of it, it doesn’t bother me at all. I have fantasised for weeks about punching this song in the eye, but unfortunately, the song doesn’t have a head, talkless of eyes. How can one song cram in so many failed decisions per minute? One minute you are trying to woo a girl into your bed, the next, you are saying Tinubu eleniyan, Fashola eleniyan. What has Tinubu eleniyan got to do with getting her in your bed? Are you pimping her to Tinubu or to the other names you mentioned in the song? There’s nothing wrong with praise singing if you do it right. “In My Bed” sounds like a guy trying so hard to get it right and therefore getting it all wrong. You packed in the same overused lines “Anywhere I go all my people show me love / And people trying to bad mouth me. Don’t you think by now, we’ve heard enough of your sniffy little screech of being chased by enemies? It is boring already. Even a connoisseur of pop trash won’t find anything to like about a song like this. “In My Bed” is one song you don’t need to know the lyrics, you may want to shield your friends and loved ones from its strange concoction. It is indeed the worse song of this or any other year. Oh sorry, this year is not over yet, so it’s theoretically possible a worse contender could emerge, but I doubt it. Let’s put it this way, if placed in comparison with any of Artquake’s songs, it would still be a distant second. I can’t remember the last time there was a hit song this whack. http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_theme_110749838.xhtml?tema=225

A Detroit teenager was taken off life support and died due to a gunshot wound caused by a friend playing with a handgun, police said. WJBK reports that Bernard Walker, 16, was in a home in the neighborhood of Petosky-Otsego on Christmas Day, when two friends arrived, one carrying a loaded weapon. Police say the friends started playing around with the gun in the basement, when the 19-year-old pulled the trigger, firing a shot that struck Bernard in the head. The teen was rushed to nearby Henry Ford Hospital, where he was put on a ventilator. He was removed from life support and died Friday afternoon. The station reports that a neighbor called Bernard a ‘good kid,’ and his mother, Theresa Culbert, described having to watch her son slip away. ‘He wasn’t really doing good at all,’ Culbert said. ‘Just basically had to watch his brain die.’ Both of Bernard’s friends were taken into custody by police. Detroit Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Moreno told Detroit News police are holding the 19-year-old and will seek charges in connection to Bernard’s death. Though the decision is up to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Officer Moreno said the charge would likely be manslaughter or second-degree murder. Super Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo, has made an unusual declaration saying Coach Stephen Keshi is not fit to continue as the national team coach especially after his failure to qualify the country for the Africa Cup of Nations starting next month in Equatorial Guinea. Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES in Lagos, the Turkey-based defender said based on precedence, it was only normal for the Big Boss to be relieved of his job after the AFCON miss. “Everybody in nigeria knows that when Siasia did not qualify everybody from the media, the fans insisted that they have to sack him, so it is normal that when a coach does not qualify for the Nations Cup or the World Cup he is not allowed to stay on, I am sorry to say that; they have to sack him (Keshi),” Taiwo said. “nigeria is not just for one person, if a coach does not qualify you for a competition why do you have to keep him?” he questioned. While many will be quick to conclude that the hard stance of Taye Taiwo on Keshi may be linked to his exemption from national team duties, the former Olympique Marseille of France stalwart claimed he had no grouse with anyone over his national team snub, but insisted that if it pleases God for him to still represent Nigeria he would definitely do so. “Please don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with Keshi, Amokachi or even the NFF. The players that have been called are also doing fantastically well, everything is in the hands of Allah. If I get the chance to play for Nigeria I will, if not, life goes on,” Taye Taiwo said. Palpable tension enveloped Bauchi State political space yesterday following the interception of a truck load of 1550 ballot boxes expected to be used in next year’s elections. The transparent white empty ballot boxes were yesterday intercepted on the Darazo -Dukku road, 110 kilometres from the state capital, by state security operatives. Described as non-sensitive INEC electoral materials, the boxes were found in a 24 feet container trailer with registration number plate, Abuja XE784 ABJ driven by one Mohammed Shaidu. The consignment, according to Shaidu, was destined for Gombe State. Rumour soon spread that the boxes were stuffed with thumb printed ballot cards. To douse the tension, the police opened the boxes in the presence of police, state security and INEC officials, reporters and representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Police Area Command head office Bauchi. The state Police spokesman DSP Haruna Mohammed appealed to the public to always cross check their information to avoid being misinformed. Mr. Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, last night said there was no cause for alarm. He confirmed that the boxes indeed belong to the commission and were being moved by the contractor to the states ahead of next year’s elections. Idowu said the contractors ought to have got security escorts for the consignment and has been directed to seek such escorts for the remaining consignment. The driver of the truck said “about 30 vehicles carrying the same materials and quantity have gone to other states in the Northeast”. He expressed shock for his ‘detention’ when all the security men should have done was to cross-check from INEC after “I presented my waybill”. Aliyu Sa’idu Abubakar, Bauchi State Organiser, Buhari Campaign Organization said: “we in APC have not accused anybody but we want to be sure that things are properly done; no more business as usual. Our people, progressive Nigerians, have to be vigilant.” Reports say the truck has since been released. THERE ARE MoRE NEWS YOu NEED TO READ,» http://spaceloaded.com/forum2_110749829.xhtml
