The annoying thing about football is that..Paraguay playing the way they played the first half will change nothing and if France don't change something to unlock them early.....France will start getting frustrated and that's when Paraguay come out to try get a goal....and once they score..they go back to their default tactics in this match and hope to win...this is why football is not always mathematics, FIFA rankings and big names...thecexception for me will be squad depths and I think France has it....squad depth!!

I agree. Certain changes should be made too. Dembele and Barcola should both be subbed off. Bring in cherki and Doue.

Barcola.....yes, but Dembele is not the sort of player I will take out when France hasn't scored a goal....infact if France has a 2-3 goal lead and the match is at 85th minute you can rest Dembele and bring in a defender .....a half fit, limping Dembele should not be substituted in an important knockout match like this one......my humble opinion

Looks like Paraguay game plan has worked so far...
France has huffed and puffed but not a goal to show for their effort in this 1st half.

Paraguay have camped back most of the time and when they come forward, the press the French defence hoping they'd make some mistake they can capitalize on...and I think twice they've come close to catching the French defense line at it

France should probably slow down the pace now...pull the breaks on their wave of attacks, pass the ball around a bit to draw Paraguay out of that walled-up 18' box

A Paraguay guy swipe a hand across Mbape's chest or face while off the ball but ref instead gives a corner kick from Dembele's deflection ...VAR should look at this but they don't

I should have clarified...I actually meant RELATIVELY inexperienced compared to our North African Brothers. If they keep Jason, they'd gain some experience and grow through several other programs including opportunities to play in top tier leagues and clubs....they're still a young side ...but will improve in coming years if they stick together

Good observation. Ma'am but this is football...and not politics where people are "selected" ( like in some parts of Africa) or Elected fairly based on Competence if they're looking for who to get the job done and not based on Geopolitical diversity and equity.
Having said that, Canada's national soccer squad is not built around specific geographic or ethnic demographics, but rather through a merit-based selection of top talent globally. The squad list primarily reflects the country’s diverse, multicultural immigration landscape and dual nationals rather than historical representation from individual First Nation communities.
When matches held in Vancouver, they were represented in the other worldcup related events even if they don't have a name/face in this squad
By the way I am Canadian as well( I hold a dual nationality).....trust this helps your observation a bit

Another yellow card to Morroco. I think they need to separate the way they play in Africa with a CAF centre referee and how they play in this Worldcup with a FIFA referee in charge...huge difference IMHO

Canada 🇨🇦 is everywhere, chasing down every ball, throwing themselves into every challenge and this can be frustrating for a team like morroco that likes to move the ball around very quickly

This match will boil down to tactical discipline, experience and attention to fine details which on Paper, the Morrocans have more than the Canadians.
I feel that Morroco will be looking to get spot kicks, fall theatrically in key places and utilize the opportunities from such play

The way this Man Tinubu dey make policies and appointments ehnn ...he will further polarize the country to the extent that this fragile union will completely disintegrate or somebody will come after him and undo most of these slant tribal and nepotistic executive actions. Now most of the other tribes are reacting to "adire" on social media platforms and nobody will try to even understand weather there are merits to this type of policy.
