Politics / Ekiti 2018: Ex-pdp Spokesperson, Adeyeye Seals N100m Deal With Fayemi by Ekitinews: 1:01pm On Jan 18, 2018
As the July 14, 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State draws near, the Ekiti Democratic Coalition (EDC) has alleged that former Minister of State of State for Works and Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has sealed a N100 million deal with Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi.

EDC, which made this allegation in a release issued on Wednesday and signed by its Convener, Comrade Ogunlola Olatunde, said N100 million was for Adeyeye’s Radio Station, Voice FM to be used solely to attack the person of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose and launder Fayemi’s image, especially in respect of his bad image with teachers in the State.

The coalition said the N50 million, which was 50 per cent of the N100 million deal agreed by Adeyeye and Fayemi, was paid into his (Adeyeye) account at Diamond Bank, Abuja last week Wednesday.

The group lamented that Adeyeye only used his position as minister to amass wealth for himself, building a multi-million mansion in Abuja within nine months as minister and a radio station, which is his personal investment in Ado Ekiti.

EDC counseled Adeyeye to look back and take stock of the benefits he derived from being a minister under PDP government from where he made the millions with which he established the radio station and search his conscience.

It said Adeyeye could not have set up a radio station if he was not made a minister by the PDP government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan and that apart from the radio station, which is his personal investment, he should tell Ekiti people what benefit was derived by the State during his nine months as minister.

It said it was worrisome that Prince Adeyeye is acting more like someone who is more interested in PDP losing the July 14 governorship election than picking the party ticket.

The EDC alleged that it was the N100 million deal sealed with Fayemi that has made the Voice FM radio station to devoted its operations into attacking Governor Fayose and his government on one hand and supporting Fayemi and the All Progressives Congress on the other.

Family / "I Have Been Sleeping With Your Wife" - Herbalist To His Friend by Ekitinews: 12:17pm On Jan 18, 2018
A husband, Mr Lamidi Adebayo, on Thursday, asked an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court to dissolve his 28 years marriage with his wife, Bose.

The petitioner is accusing Bose of adultery, drunkenness and dishonesty.

Adebayo, 48, a commercial driver and resident of No. 89, Isato Street, Ado-Ekiti told the court that the couple had not conducted any marital rite but they have four children.

He further told the court that his neighbours had informed him several times that his wife and one of her friends were “touring the houses of men” but he never believed the information.

The petitioner said the nature of his job as a driver made it difficult for him to be at home always.

“I was shocked on November 7, 2017 when my childhood friend, named Lateef, a herbalist, invited me to his house and told me that I should forgive him that ‎he has been having secret affairs with my wife.

“He told me that my wife told him that her husband had died a long time ago, whereas am still very much alive,” he said.

The petitioner also alleged that the respondent ‎was a drunkard who takes gin, assorted wines and palm wine to stupor every morning.

Lamidi said he had tried every possible means ‎to stop his wife’s adulterous act and drunkenness but to no avail.

The petitioner, therefore, urged the court to dissolve the marriage because of her behaviour and dishonesty.

The plea of the woman was not immediately taken, but the ‎President of the Court, Mrs Olayinka Akomolede, after hearing the petitioner’s testimony adjourned the case to Feb.15, for further hearing.
