#Urgent...Please people..after 2 days in benin,my host is already tired of cooking for me,(she said I can eat a mountain,but thats not true,she's exageratting,I only ate 1 pot of spaghetti and 4 plates of rice for breakfast)..and now she said I should prepare stew before she returns, I've put the pot on the gas,I've poured water half way (since fela said "If u wan to cook,na water u go use"...I added knorr, I've added a drop of vegetable oil,but I've not put onion....the problem now is dat the stew is still tasteless, I added a little salt but its still tasteless..so I added yam(I saw it on knorr advert o)..what do I do?...help a friend in need...(she's already on her way home,and I want to surprise her with a sweet stew)...

#Ladies this would be my last SD post this year.
I was just "lazying" this afternoon and I got the voice. Stop. Stop wallowing in mediocrity in the name of marriage expectancy. See, its the traditional mediocre belief when you hear people say a woman would scare of MEN with her success...Thats a fallacy of the highest order. True,you'll scare off men,but you'll scare of MEDIOCRE men. Men who have resolved to be failures,who cant stay awake to succeed. And the beauty is that you'll attract very ambitous men like you.(forget physics when it said unlike charges attract,it doesnt work here, its the law of attraction thats playing out in this case,inbox me and I'll teach u of that law)...as I was saying,you'll have to wait for longer though because such men are in short supply,because we have many men who are loafers around,(as well as ladies).
Go about your life,dream and achieve big success,a real man will not be intimidated by your success,a real man will be inspired by your success instead. One of my inspirations are women. We all want to be happy,I yet have not seen any human under the sun who doesn't want to be happy,(perhaps there is,I don't know). I believe one of the reasons why you are reading this is because you want to be happy,and you also want to know how to avoid little mistakes made in the pursuit of happiness.
Nothing good comes easy,non that I know of,not in this world,maybe in Pluto or Saturn,but most definitely not on planet earth..
And because nothing good comes easy,there abound little mistakes or difficulties encountered in the pursuit of happiness. You'd be intimated of these mistakes in the remaining lines of this post.

Mistakes made in pursuit of happiness

1.Not letting go of the past:- people who do no let go of their past often miss out in the joy of the moment.not letting go of your past means you are still dwelling in it and you don't expect to have the maximum feel of the present while still in your past.once you let go of your past,you start releasing yourself for the wonderful moments ahead.Holding onto the past makes you over 'conscious' of the tendency of getting hurt and this keeps you in your shell. Let go of your past,you no longer have control over it,its gone,let it go and take charge of your present and future.....

2.comparing with others: people often compare themselves,possession,achievements with other people and this causes only sadness. You are different. Why compare? Its an insult on your being,comparing it with another being. Whatever you can not have,ignore the. For women its mostly jewelry,accessories and clothes,for gadget lovers,its latest tabs,smartphone etc. If you cannot afford it,then forget it(at least for the time been).We've heard of people who cannot live in the league they choose to,they take part in vices like stealing, s*xual excapedes,and the likes,those who're unfortunate and caught have been lynched,jungle justice have been melted out on some,death has even caught up with others..Imaging the same,disrespect,humiliation,embarrassment and disgrace received for a gadget that it's price would drop after a month or so.. My point,if you can't have it,don't compare,just be happy with what you've got

3.Pursuing the source of happiness rather than the happiness itself: people often go after what they think would make them happy,instead of the real happiness itself. To illustrate,people who chase money at the expense of their family thinks money is happiness,or a path to happiness and they ignore their family,friends and relationships which are the real happiness. I'm not advocating laziness,instead am after a balance. You need to find a balance between work and your loved ones.what is the essence of money when spent it alone. Invest quality time in those who makes you happy.they are the real happiness.

4.they pursue happiness instead of living their lives and be happy: In search of happiness,you often forget to live the life of happiness. Why not stop searching for happiness and start living your life happily. The pursuit of happiness would make it elude you.

Trust is a basic in our everyday life. From all of our relationships we demand and expect trust. Today the lack of trust has ruined so many lives,homes marriages,love affairs,relationships with colleagues at places of work,bosses etc. Because this is an essential part of every smooth relationship. As much as trust is needed,it is pertinent to note that it is fragile,once lost its gone-forever no body wants blind trust. Even when you attempt to rebuild or do everything to regain the trust of anybody who lost his/her trust in us,like a wound it might heal, but the scar would remain forever. And that means the regained trust can never be as it was because whenever remembered, there would be an emotional disturbance.(the spirit is willing to forget but the flesh is weak).so many families even lack family trust.how bad!

For every relationship to work out fine,trust is important.believe me,else both parties would only be deceiving themselves ;one of the main reason why you should be with your partners is because you trust them. No matter your relationship with anybody either your friends or religious leaders,its your trust in them that'll make you put in efforts to make it work.The importance of trust in a relationship can really not be over emphasized.

how do we become trusted people

Let us now highlight and get intimate on how to get peoples trust,although this might take a little time to yield the best of result,the result is worth the time and effort.

*. Maintain a good reputation:In the 48 laws of power,the 5th laws states 'so much depends on reputation,guard it with your life'. For as much that depends on your reputation,trust is one of them. Your level of trust from people is directly proportional to your reputation. The bible stated ' a good name is better than riches' so don't for anything destroy your reputation. We've heard of people who committedsuicide because their reputation has been questioned. Do guard it withyour life if you must be trusted.( the Japanese samurai is a typical example)

*.Always be truthful:this could be deduced from the first above,but its more direct,be truthful. Avoid exaggeration.once unsure about anything,make it clear your are not sure. By so doing you'll get peoples respect and ultimately their trust they'll also take any information coming from you as an authority. Some might wait to hear from you before they'd believe any issues on ground. Because this days,one can unconsciously lie,you have to be conscious of what you say, quickly make corrections to statements made by mistake. Do not talk excessively,do not give a first hand answer to questions you do not have first hand experience of. When discussing and am not too sure of a fact I'd always say 'I don't know much...however I think,...I suppose...maybe'...etc. This would surely help your trust level greatly.

*.Trust them first: Nobody will truly trust you until they are sure you trust them(at least). otherwise,its a bait for you to do so or its to prove themselves right.You need to trust before you expect to be trusted.Nobody receives what he hasn't given..what you sow is what you'll reap.No more,no less.

*.Avoid all of these-cynicism,narcissism,megalomania,skepticism,selfishness,sentiments. All these are vices that'll work against you in the long run.If any of these is found it you,take immediate steps to deal with them.

*. politely decline gossip.You don't want to be gossiped,don't gossip either.however,you don't have to be harsh or rude in declining to partake,subtly let the other party know you not pry into peoples lives. And by so doing,you'll gain his/her own trust too

*.be selectively vulnerable.:make little minor mistakes,and request for help. Especially from your superiors. Appearing to be perfect would make them insecure and they wouldn't trust you. But being vulnerable and asking for their help would reassure them they are the boss. And their trust is yours. Most bosses' are like this,they unconsciously love their subordinates to seek their assistance and when this is not coming,there is 'trouble'.so take advantage of this.(however this shouldn't be done often as it might make you seem incompetent).

*.Apologize for little mistakes:whenever any mistake is made,you should apologize.whenever you apply no.6 above,but highlight your little errors and show remorse,it would make they themselves justify your actions.(in most cases).

*.Have confidence. We only show confidence in someone who's confident.If you are not confident enough,nobody would show confidence and trust in you. Build your confidence level and improve your swagger.

*.Dress well. This might sound odd/irrelevant,but it actually is very important. Your dressing shows how you'd be addressed. So if you don't dress we,you won't be regarded or respected and trust don't come with disrespect and disregard.

An argument is always an exchange of views among two or more people.
As human we are always at one point or the other with a contradicting view to that of neighbor or contemporaries no matter how sound or intelligent his or her views, we are always ready to show superiority and make our own idea the leading idea, thereby robbing or the other, whatever means possible and this bring about a counter argument.We argue almost everyday,hence the importance of knowing how to win arguments.
If you’ll agree with me that the victory of winning an argument is so sweet that we damn the consequence albeit grave, and here we’ll try to dissect arguments and its effects and ultimately how to win it.

WHY DO PEOPLE ARGUE?
Scientifically "I think" our brain are apt to self defense, hence when any message it receives is a conflicting idea to its own a counter message is released by it, once such happens, you’ll see all the reasons in the idea why your friend, now your opponent is wrong. I also know that the love and respect for our opinion and ours alone has filled the air, so once its not our opinion, its wrong.you bring up a counter argument This I conclude is a vice.

HOW DOES IT MAKE YOUR COUNTERPART FEEL?
Your counterpart is flesh & blood, so once his opinion is contested, it pricks him like a sharp Nail and for sure, he will react. This is because you did not steal is dollar bills, nor harm his SUV you did a worse harm to his most priced asset.His EGO. You attempted to murder it, by contesting his opinion, and he’ll use anything possible to fight back. Just to regain his pride.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF ARGUMENTS?
The effects of Argument are obvious. Once you ply that path, anger, hate, resentment, Emotional disturbance enemity- name it; these would set in between both parties and if you don’t know, anger, hate and arguments have caused more harm than the bombing of Hiroshima.
HOW TO WIN ARGUMENTS. It’s simple. To win an argument is just as simple as ABC (if not simpler). If you really want to do, simply AVOID it. That’s it. Avoid it even though sometimes there might be good arguments, but it often go sour, so avoid it.
Respect peoples opinion, once your opinion is contested, stay calm, keep your cool, its normal, it doesn’t make you any less- act matured. (Maturity is not about age) it’s more.To you it might be a logical argument, but to the other it may be fallacious arguments. Ask questions, if need be-not sarcastic questions though.
I used to be a “very good arguer” Oh sorry there’s never a good arguer. I was a bad arguer, extremely argumentative and this gave me a bad name. I was very ready to do it. Sometimes I claim I wasn’t arguing and called it something else,but there is nowhere in the dictionary for another word for argument. And then I unlearnt it. after I understood it dangers, I learnt maturity and now I’m quick to avoid it, I’m more at peace in conversations today. This is what you need. it wins you Good friends who would help you in your success journey. Your emotions are balanced, you are never caught using the wrong word or using foul languages due to anger. The benefit of wining arguments through abstinence cannot be over emphasized. Take your time say at every potential arguable conversation “I won’t say a word” not on this topic and with time you would over come this bad habit . In an argument,lose it and you lose it. Win it you and you lost it still.”

You're right, but this only apply to abrahamic religions, especially christianity and islam, which are proselytizing religions. For them if you're not from their religion, you're an heretic and will end up in hell. The majority of religions are not like that consider buddism, shinto, african traditional, etc. For other religions than abrahamic religions, religion is a bit a misnomer, it's more like culture a spirituality, a way of life, you're value system, etc. There's not this abrahamic concept of competition between religions (the only true god) and denominations (catholic vs protestant vs sunni vs shia vs judaism). Every people on earth have their own name and knowledge of god through their ancestors. For a traditional practitioner, it's perfectly normal to see someone not related to you practicing another religion than his, the contrary would be absurd.

I so agree with you on this,and I think these religion does not respect peoples opinion,and this is the major cause of conflict,if a child changed his mind and decides to switch religion,you'll see his parents threatening him,they use everything possible including blackmail,and this cannot bring out the best in such a child..let us all change our archaic approach to religion...thanks for sharing

Today there is no doubt there is less peace in the world as there used to be. And there is no indication there world be a solution any time soon, hence the need for this post. No doubt the world is evil. Every now and then there is one church springing up around the corner, a Mosque been set up, and several worship centers of all the religion in the world are not left out in this growth.Ironically as these religious establishments increase, the evil in the world does same. This to me is a shame. Needless to say this increase in religion setups comes with religious modernism. People now tweak their faith to suit and be convenient for them, to this end the purpose of faith is defeated because they really don’t understand what religion is.

WHAT IS RELIGION?
Religion is the belief in a God or gods. This is a short dictionary definition. But I actually know religion is much more than this. Religion is simply a way of life; you don’t only belief in a God/gods without applying your faith in him to your everyday life. Mere belief and Zero practical is meaningless. And this is where the misconception lies. To illustrate let us Examine a man (say Jack) Going to a Mosque or church he meets a begger on his way, ignores him & dashes straight into the church. Jack is in the instance just being religious not practicing his faith some where in the Bible peter, James, & John told a crippled Man “Silver & Gold I have not, but what I have I give unto you” That is the kind of life style expected of one who is a Christian. Religion is a way of life. It is in the way we live & what we do, its more than just confessing this is typical of religion modernists. Who are now every where in this evil world.

WHAT IS RELIGION MORDERNISM?

This is simply modernizing laws to suit the law maker. religious modernists makes laws to suit them in more ways than one, these are the tools they use in exploring their unsuspecting victims and this is the major cause of the evil in the world today. This world is evil not because religion is evil but because of the modernists thereof and this has so put sin on the increase. One problem of sin which modernists have amplified is blindness. most have so exalted themselves that their followers are now blind,blind to the truth,to this end they become puppets,living at the mercy of their so called spiritual leaders. Another problem of sin is that it shots the ears & eyes of the great father above; the good book recorded in Isaiah, “call upon him while he may be found...when he is near”(Paraphrased)
As I stated earlier, one would expect the evil world to be purge of its filth as these religions multiply, but sadly the reverse has been the case, the hypocrisy has so risen that there is almost nobody with non religious names. For instance some denominations in Christianity would rechristen you (i.e. baptismal name) when you are baptized, and once this happens most people abandon their non religious names for the new ones (my baptismal name is David),even this has added to our hypocrisy.

FURTHER NEGATIVE IMPACT OF RELIGIOUS MODERNISM/MODERNISTS

These people don’t only put a gap between the followers and God; they also cause problems in their society. I’ll quickly highlight four problems they pose to our society.

1.WAR: They spark up war & disorder among their followers & those who didn’t support then.Remember the 9/11 in theU.S? Boko haram in Nigeria, Alqaeda , Islamic state (isis), war in iraq, iran, isreal e.t.c. These are typical examples.

2.MISUNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THEMSELVES: If they are in a group, before you know it they would have come up with different ideas, misunderstand themselves and ultimately split.

3.MEDIOCRITY: The bible stated that he who would not work should not eat. It also talked against laziness “not been slothful in business...” but this modernist would make their followers lazy by several means.

4.SENTIMENTS: They preach segregation & sentiments. In an office, once there are members of staffs of different religions, roles would no longer be appointed on merit, but favoritisms and religious sentiments.

IS RELIGION IN THE WORLD TODAY EVIL?

If you ask me if religion in the world today is evil I’d say no emphatically, religion is not evil (at least not Christianity,that I know of) but peoples attitude towards it is evil. Love is the message of the bible, but we’ve modernized it & no longer do we preach love. The world is evil, not because religion is evil, but because people have evil mindset towards religion or use it to perpetuate their evil desires. Maybe if we renew our mind, we’d have a better world to live in.

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended the date for the sales of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants aspiring for elective positions in the 2015 general elections by one week.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh told journalists at the party’s secretariat in Abuja that the new expiration date for the sales of forms is now Thursday the November 6, 2014.
Metuh explained that the decision was taken at the 388th meeting of the National Working Committee of the party.
The NWC, according to him, also observed that the tenure of ward executive officers of PDP in Abia State has expired and therefore directed the Abia State executive of the party to oversee the ward congresses to be held on Saturday.
In the words of Metuh: “In Anambra, the NWC noted that the tenure of the executive has expired on October 24 and directed the South East Zonal Working Committee to oversee the affairs of the party until another congress is held.”
However in the case of Imo State chapter of the party, where the tenure of the state executive expires on Friday, the NWC approved that the Exco should continue in office as caretaker committee but without voting right.
Metuh further pointed out that following the earlier resignation of the chairmen of Enugu and Delta State chapters of the PDP, the NWC directed the deputy chairmen of the chapters to immediately take over the affairs of the party in their respective states.
He equally added said the agreement reached with the governorship aspirants from Adamawa State with the national leadership still subsists and directed aspirants from the state to exchange the forms with 2015 governorship forms without any payment.
He restated that the 2015 governorship of the state has been zoned to Adamawa Central Senatorial District.

in U.S you must have a degree before you are qualified to study medicine..so he already has his degree now,and medicine is next..so medicine there is more like 8 years...4 years first degree + 4 years medicine....its the common wealth style nigeria uses thats straight six years...as for the John Hopkins,he did his first degree der(commonly called pre-med),he can do his med degree anywhere too...(I suspect he's following Ben Carsons Path...Yale uni,John Hopkins and neuro surgery)
