Religion / Must Read: Seven Proofs Of Unconditional Salvation by ele4joe: 8:36pm On Sep 13, 2016
There are only two ways of eternal life - God's way or Satan's counterfeit. Either God gives eternal life as a free and unconditional gift, or man must perform conditions of faith or works to obtain it.
If man must do anything, then God's grace is ruined, man becomes his own saviour, religious financing determines eternal destiny, and Satan has robbed Jesus Christ of His glory.

Introduction
Prof #1: Man has no natural desire or ability to obey or please God for salvation.
Proof #2: God expressly denies man's will or works in obtaining salvation.
Proof #3: Faith and works are results of salvation, not conditions or means for it.
Proof #4: Jesus Christ saves sinners by Himself without any human cooperation.
Proof #5: The gospel and its ordinances were never intended to give eternal life.
Proof #6: The Bible gives examples of sinners saved without any conditions.
Proof #7: Unconditional salvation is the only doctrine giving God all the glory.
Conclusion
Introduction
How are you saved? Did God save you by free grace? Or did you save yourself by some act? Or did you do something to cooperate with God and make Jesus Christ's work effective for you?
There are only two ways a sinner can be saved. Either God saves him unconditionally as a free gift of His grace, or he must do something in order to obtain it for himself.
There is no other choice. All religions and doctrines are either unconditional or conditional. Either man does nothing for his salvation, or he must do something.
If you were to send $100 to the most effective missionary or soul winner you know, could you possibly get another name in the book of life? Or is that work done only by God in Jesus Christ?
Some require baptism; others require church membership; some require sacraments; and others require parts of Moses' law. While another party requires only faith and a decision.
Yet all five of these popular ideas are the same. They all require sinful man to do something to save himself, even if it is only requiring him to believe and confess some salvation formula.
In all five cases, the determining factor for heaven or hell is what each man does. If that is the case, then man is his own saviour; and his eternal destiny is based on his choice and action.
God's gift of salvation is entirely different. He gives it out of His free and sovereign grace, and He will receive all the glory for it.
If we require conditions for salvation, then we make God a debtor; and He is not in debt to man!
Eternal life is unconditional, for God gave it as a free gift to His elect, whom He chose for salvation before the world began. It originated in the mind and purpose of God, and He performs all the operations of grace to accomplish it. Man is entirely passive in the gift of eternal life.
Faith and obedience are the results of this gracious salvation, not conditions for it in any way whatsoever. They are the evidence of eternal life, not the means or instrument to obtain it.
This study will look at seven proofs establishing this fact beyond any doubt. All plans of salvation requiring some action from the sinner are horribly wrong, for eternal life is a free gift of God's grace through Jesus Christ without any conditions of any kind.
Enjoy this study, and may Jesus Christ receive all the honor, glory, and praise.
Proof #1
Man has no natural desire or ability to
obey or please God for salvation.
Every person is conceived with a nature at war against God and the things of God. Human affections and desires are so ruined by Adam's sin that men hate God and rebel against His commandments. Though man has not lost his faculties of reasoning, his ability to perceive and appreciate the things of God is so corrupted by sin that he resents and despises them. He has no affection or fear of God and is directed entirely by selfish ambitions toward sin. He will not and cannot humble himself and seek God, for his nature is totally corrupt and at war against Him. It is impossible for him to obey or please God for eternal life, for he is dead and would never do it.
God told Adam he would die, if he ate the fruit (Gen 2:17). He ate it anyway, and he died that day. Though he lived physically for 930 years (Gen 5:5), his soul died in affection toward God, just as he had been warned. After sinning, he hid from God and blamed Eve for his sin, rather than repent and beg for mercy (Gen 3:8, 3:12). He was dead toward God and righteousness.
Teaching that man can choose to believe or obey God is the same lie Satan told Eve. Though God promised death for eating the fruit, Satan told Eve she would not die (Gen 3:4). But they both died that day, and men are still spiritually dead today. It is a satanic lie that man is alive and able to choose God by his free will. He is spiritually dead toward God.
Adam generated children like himself - spiritually dead (Gen 5:3). And so we are all spiritually dead by natural conception (Eph 2:1; Col 2:13). We may be alive physically, but our souls are dead toward God and instinctively seek sin and obey Satan (Eph 2:2-3; Tit 3:3).
We are enmity against God; we will not seek God; we do not fear God (Rom 8:7;3:11, 3:18). We will not and cannot please God (Rom 8:7-cool. We cannot see His kingdom or hear His words (John 3:3; 8:43,8:47). The things of God, even presented by the Holy Spirit, are foolish to our depraved minds; we cannot

Religion / Must Read:the Gift Of Peace. Peace In A Peacless World. by ele4joe: 2:02pm On Aug 29, 2016
In the 1970s, the analgesics or pain relievers that were common were – Cafenol “Cafenol makes pain go.” Phensic – “Phensic makes you well again and then APC. Those who were born before that time will surely remember those house – hold medications, APC was the commonest. The APC of the 1970s helped in arresting the pains and headaches of Nigerians. Today, Nigeria and the world entirely is grappling with headaches, heartaches and other aches that all the analgesics of the whole universe cannot arrest.

The world is at crossroads and on a threshold of peace or perpetual lack of peace. Whatever is happening to you in your country is neither strange nor alien to other nations of the world. The world is perhaps at war with herself.

Bad news has become good news. But for bad news many print media houses and electronic media houses and thousands of their employees would have been jobless. So Thanks to BAD NEWS it has kept many people gainfully employed!

Do you know what’s making the headlines in the world? You should.

Islamic State (Is) – torturing, beheading, killing, you can mention them.

Boko Haram – harassing, tormenting, maiming, killing, looting, raping, abducting, women and sacking whole communities from lands they have once known as their sweet homes.

Fulani Herdsmen – beheading as many people as they believe offended them.

Militants – vandalizing pipes and bombing refineries.

Armed Robbers – Getting more sophisticated, daring and leaving gory tales of their atrocities wherever they go.
Politicians – overheating the polity with their unguarded and inciting utterances, selfishness and self-centeredness.

Human Traffickers – practicing what is called modern day slavery.

Rapists – The incessant rape of elderly women and minors is on the increase and quite alarming.

Kidnappers – Really having a field day, kidnapping even infants! No doubt, we live in a violent world.

Quite a number of Christians have at different points of hearing, seeing and being victims of such atrocities questioned whether God actually exists, and if He does, why is He ‘indifferent’ to the pains of His people? The saddest part of the matter is that some of the atrocities being attributed to Pastors and Church alike are unimaginable. Indeed, Perilous times has caught up with us.
We live in the era of abnormal normalities. The Church of Christ on earth is battling with ungodly “Christians”! Fear is taking the place of faith in the lives of many children of God today. Let us listen to the PRINCE OF PEACE Himself:
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – John 14:27(KJV)
Jesus went further to prepare the hearts ...CONTINUE HERE http://www.everydaywiththelord.com/2016/08/the-gift-of-peace-peace-in-peaceless.html

bro, God is God. He's not a man so He's not given to erratic feelings or mercurial mood. Religion / Must Read: Reasons Why "Free Will" Can't Save You. by ele4joe: 3:20pm On Aug 25, 2016
The masses want a god that fits what their nature tells them a good god is. They serve the god “I” and don't seem to know the God of the bible. When they talk about salvation it's almost always I... I... I! I accepted Jesus, I'm a soul winner etc. The I gods believe they can save themselves with their own reasoning and free will. The doctrine of free will is a doctrine of self salvation, even if those promoting the doctrine don’t claim to believe in self salvation, or that salvation is based on works.
Not everyone that believes the self salvation doctrine of free will is intentionally going against sound biblical teaching. Many that believe the unbiblical doctrine of free will have often believed the doctrine of self salvation without even knowing it’s an unbiblical doctrine. This is often because they let others do their thinking for them and have not taken the time to seek the truth from the scriptures.
God often allows things to happen, so His predestined purpose will come to pass. He also at times interferes with free will because He is in control. I will post a small number of the many scriptures that deal with free will, or the lack of free will. Some people may ask themselves why I didn’t go into passages like Jonah in the belly of the whale and several others, but many of those passages would be deserving of their own article and the intent of this article is to post some basics to motivate those with a love for the truth to search and study the scriptures for themselves.
Exodus 4:11 "And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?"
Prov. 16:4 "The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
Mark 4:9-12 "And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.".....( read more) http://www.everydaywiththelord.com/2016/07/only-you-can-do-it.html

Religion / Must Read: 7 Reasons Why You Should Pay Your Tithe. by ele4joe: 4:43pm On Aug 21, 2016
There are many questions going through the hearts of many Christians, and one of them is: are we supposed to pay tithe at this present dispensation? Tithing is a spiritual law of God that is recorded in the bible. The doctrine of tithing is a topic that many of us would not want to discuss. But it is one topic you are supposed to understand well enough and decide whether to obey it or not.
And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S. It is holy to the LORD. And concerning the tithe of the herd or of the flock, of whatsoever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to the LORD.– Leviticus 27:30, 32 (NKJV)
Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings – Malachi 3:8 (NKJV)
But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass by justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone – Luke 11:42 (NKJV)

What is tithe? Tithe is ten percent of all your increase and it belongs to the Lord. It is holy to Him (Leviticus 27:30). In the time of the scriptures, the occupation of the people was mainly farming, both of crops and animals. As a result, the tithe was described based on seeds and livestock. However, the principle remains the same: tithe of all your increase (Deuteronomy 14:22).
So, if you are a salary earner – ten percent of your salary; a business man; – ten percent of your profit; and a farmer – ten percent of your yield or increase in livestock. If it is changed into money, it is still acceptable (Deuteronomy 14:25)
Your tithe is either ten percent of all your increase or it is not tithe at all. Anything less than ten percent is an offering.

Origin of tithing:
The first place that tithe was mentioned in the bible was in Genesis 14:18-20, where Abraham gave Melchizedek king of Salem a tithe of all, after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him. However, this spiritual law was made clearer under the laws of Moses (Leviticus 27:30-32). And more lights were shed on it in Malachi 3:8-12.
The Old Testament truly has most of the scriptures on the spiritual law of tithing but the New Testament also has some scriptures that back it up. As a matter of fact Jesus Christ approved of it in Luke 11:42 when He was rebuking the Pharisees. He said to them that they should have attended to justice and the love of God without leaving tithing undone......CONTINUE READING http://www.everydaywiththelord.com/2016/08/tithing-untapped-source-of-blessing.html

Religion / What Have The Lord Entrusted To You? Use It Or Lose. by ele4joe: 9:56pm On Aug 13, 2016
The story of the 10 minas in Luke 19 is familiar. A man of noble birth leaves his estate to journey to a distant land so that he may be appointed king. Before he left, he called 10 of his servants to him. To each servant, he gave a mina, about three months’ wages. Then the nobleman told his servants to put the money to work until he returns.

When he returned, the master called the servants to report on how they invested the money. The first servant wisely invested his mina and earned 10 more. The master appreciated his service and put him in charge of 10 cities. A second servant’s mina invested wisely and earned five minas more during..... http://www.everydaywiththelord.com/2016/08/what-have-lord-entrusted-to-you-use-it.html

Religion / MUST READ: A Vision Of God; Who Is God To You by ele4joe: 2:59am On Aug 09, 2016
Meeting the real Creator will give our spiritual life a shock but it may well prove also to be our salvation. To remind us of the kind of God we serve, Amos in his book described Him as The Lord Almighty. Amos 4: 13 “ He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth- the Lord Almighty is his name.” The best way to overcome any tendency to limit or minimize God is to recall His incomparable, awesome creativity. Magnificent mountains and heavy storms and winds tell us of the God who forms and creates. He gives breath of life... Religion / Must Read: Only If You Obey (obedience A Fundamental Part Of Our Christian Walk by ele4joe: 2:33pm On Aug 06, 2016
Why should we Christians obey God? This is more like asking, "Why should a son love his father?" There is no WHY to it. The love simply happens because of the relationship. Can we say the same thing about our relationship with
God, as our Heavenly Father?
Instead of asking WHY we should obey Him, like it is some kind of imposed obligation, I’ll show Us WHY we must obey Him. Sometimes we act as if God is at our disposal, rather than we at His. Obedience is better than sacrifice, in fact, it is a fundamental part of our Christian walk.

Religion / Must Read: Applying The Gospel To Marriage. What Did God Said About Marriage? by ele4joe: 1:15am On Aug 04, 2016
Life in this end time is becoming difficult, it’s so bad that only few are standing for God. We are in a time when the INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE has been thrown away, even MARRIAGE. Every day we wake to see evil and wickedness around us. We are in the era of homosexuals and lesbians but as a believer what will you do? Will you conform to this world? For those who are Christians and who firmly believe in God's word, His standard of one-man, one-woman marriage, please meditate on this Bible verse: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”. ( 2 Ch 7:14 Kjv)

The institution of marriage was established in Genesis 2:23-24 "The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called “woman,” for she was taken out of man.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." God created man and then made woman......read more http://www.everydaywiththelord.com/2016/08/the-beauty-of-marriage-applying-gospel.html

Religion / Why You Must Forgive From The Heart by ele4joe: 5:10pm On Aug 01, 2016
One of the commands that the Lord gave us was to forgive. Forgiving is almost as important as loving; and, in fact, they are inextricably intertwined. Jesus talked about forgiving completely--from the heart.
He said that no matter how many times a person sins against us, we are to keep forgiving the

Forgiveness is so important that Jesus said if we don't forgive others, then the Father will not forgive us even in light of the price that the Lord paid to redeem us.

But sometimes forgiving others is really hard. When we find out someone has done something wrong to us, our immediate instinct is to get even, to get retribution--and it is a strong drive. As a case in point, I recently learned that a company I've contracted with for many years violated not only a written promise, but they also violated the terms of our contract. In short, they gave my work to another person to use as his own, and he used it. I was shocked and angry.

I'm currently talking to the company, and certainly I have the option of taking legal action. The company clearly wronged me in more ways than one. Thoughts about what they did dominated my thinking for several days. My righteous indignation seemed so well deserved. Still, if I want to be forgiven for my ongoing sins, then I had to forgive them in exactly the same way and to the same degree that I wanted to be forgiven. I had to rethink my indignation.

I thought about Jesus as he hung on the cross. I imagine Him looking out over the crowd to see people he had taught only days earlier at the temple. Maybe He could pick out faces he'd seen as he taught the beatitudes. And when he hung his head, I believe that He also saw all the people who lived in the past and all the people who would live in the future. The aggregate of humanity--all sinners, all needing forgiveness. It was His responsibility to bear the crushing weight of all sin--from the beginning of time to the end.

Yet, the Lord forgave them all. I'm convinced that Jesus saw all those people through the eyes of divine love that saw far beyond the sins that each person committed. He saw with eyes of love that look into eternity. I believe that He looked at each spirit--seeing us as God created each one of us. Jesus did not overlook sins. Rather, He looked at our sin and beyond. Through His eyes of love, His love for us transcended the price that He had to pay for what we'd done.

In short, Jesus knew that "The victory was greater than the pain."

The next time you have trouble forgiving someone, remember to look with eyes of love--with eyes that see the sin and beyond--into eternity.
