South Africa doesn't worth all the stress you guys are going through. Visas, permit, accommodation, etc. I came to south Africa in 2008 and most of my peers have left because they just couldn't survive in the system. The truth about sa is that there are no jobs (forget your degree) especially if you didn't migrate from southern Africa. You will always stands out and treated differently that's just the plain truth. I learned in hard away and the experience broaden my orientation that life is easy and to always be satisfied with what you have. If you are coming to sa without good plans please don't try it (its better you go to US, Canada, Australia, where you can pick tomatoes on the farm and in few years you can afford to build a mansion back home). I have lived 8 years in sa I have valid asylum seeker since 2009 (use it to work, open bank account (FNB) study in unisa & pc training) i have work permit, I have lesotho passport and ID, I have a daughter citizen and I staying with my girl friend so paper is not problem. Without steeping into sa you can get work permit, permanent resident, Lesotho passport and ID if you have money why is because their officials are corrupt just like every other black African officials. But with all these papers getting a job is a miracle with your degree or not.

A testimonial is not a certificate issued after completing a course. So such won't be attested by the ministry of education. However, he may need to notarize it, even though any entity can issue such!

The embassy seems to loose its value by asking for trivial stuff like this.

Welcome, I'm glad I could help. Just go to the high court and tell any lawyer you want to notarize your sponsorship letter. It cost me 2k. Those agents and touts at the embassy will ask you to pay them 8k. So just do it yourself. Photocopy your IDs and transcripts also before going to the embassy, those agents will charge you 100 naira per copy. Do your flight reservation yourself too, those touts will charge you 10k. All the best. I never paid them any dime so be smart about it all. Good luck.

Visa fee is 250 dollars, they don't take the equivalence in naira.

Not the same questions were asked. They'd ask you your age, the course you are going for, what you studied here and why you chose North Cyprus. They'd also ask you your sponsor's relationship with you, what they do and where they live. Every question there is pretty easy and straightforward. For my part, the guy who interviewed me happened to be an alumni of my alma mater so he asked me the campus I schooled in and the area I lived during my university days. It was a sort of a mini chat and the chap was super friendly. There's nothing to fret about.

I cancelled my old appointment and did a new one and kept trying to find a favourable date. I got it some nights ago. So I guess you can try that.

Nimc said my brother should come back in 3 weeks for the normal slip they give without giving him anything and the interview is next week ..,should we cancel and reschedule or go ahead
