so,I was reading DB(as usual) and saw this post. it made me think about dramas with bad or worse endings. I asked myself, why do I still watch a show knowing how bad it is? is it for entertainment or loyalty to the actors or just because? I think I have to go for entertainment and loyalty.
I guess I ll never get used to Korean endings being bad,good or rushed.

I agree, this live shooting is taking a toll on the actors. I read that sometimes, the master tape for the episode to be aired, might get to the network 5 minutes before airing time. (You'd probably see this in few dramas with broadcasting themes.)

I think the whole point of the live shoot is to study viewer's reaction to the drama, so they change part of the plot if necessary.

I agree with the viewers rxn bit but they still suffer. They should find another way or method for live shoots.

I feel so bad for my joo wonie..seriously, the K-ent industry has to do something about live-shoots. its exhausting. You get to see tiredness in the eyes of actors.
Why can't they take a cue from the Chinese that will film everything first,edit all they want and then air it a month after Or like americans who shoot before the shows start,have a break a then continue. Everything for Korea just dey too extreme. shior.

Apart from kdramas,Do any of you watch variety shows?

I love "Hello counsellor" and how they give advice on issues in the K-society.
"Abnormal summit" is pretty cool too. I get to learn about different cultures apart from Korea. I'm a big fan of the only black mam in the group(Sam okere from Ghana. Some of you might have seen a glimpse of him in warm and cozy).
"Witch hunt"- Some find it boring but I love how they deal with relationship issues without suger coating + I get to see sung si-kyung(my fav k- ballad singer) which is q win for me.
"grandpa's over flowers" "three meals a day" and basically any show managed by Na young-seok aka Na PD.
"Return of superman"- I love kids. nuff said.
"1n2d" (one night 2 days)- started following it when it was still managed by Na PD and still an ardent supporter and follower.
"infinity challenge"- MC Yoo jae-suk and Hwang kwanghee(from ZE:A boy group) are jjang.
I sometimes watch "running man". I still dont understand what the rules to their games are.*shrugs*
for anything related to music,I watch "Music Bank" and "M!countdown".
I also watch "KBS news @ 9"(for those who have MyTV,you can find it there but it must be subscribed. You also get to watch KBS dramas late at nights too).

That's a lot of variety,I know lol

Everyone has their own style of acting but ppl want a different range of acting from LMH. That's why I was impressed with him in GB cuz its a different Genre.
Lol specialist in Boredom? Darling, if LMH is nominated against Ji-sung and JCW,of course he would win because "duh" he's LMH and he also has legion of fans and saesangs to vote for him BUT you wanna know the people who will get more PRAISE for their ACTING? THE BORING GUYS(ji-sung and JCW).

To me: before i goggled her, loved her and became her fan, i've had no problems with her acting, i only knew about her acting criticisms when i goggled her, and seriously it was shocking to me. After that i even became more curious about her and did more research, and i found out that she really does love acting and she is trying her best to get recognised, not only for her beauty or school achievement but for acting as well.
She can make so much money from cfs alone but to her, acting is more like an obligation, as if she really needs to do it.
When she acted her first drama, she said she started getting even more interested in acting and then after 2004, people started criticizing her acting, she felt really sad and embarassed, she decided to work hard, but no matter how much she tried, whether she acted it well or not, she still gets flak for her acting.
She did accept that such comments won't change about her, but hopefully if it does, for now she just have to live with it.
Trully it breaks my heart when i read such negative comments, but now those comments are just so funny to read because even though yong pal isn't all that great, one can't deny she did showcased YJ's character to the fullest.
So if you look at where i'm coming from, you can see that she's really trying to be recognised, even though i, my sister and friends don't see anything wrong with her acting, i can say from my non-expert point of view that KTH can act and she deserves any award given to her.
I joined soompi so i can share my thoughts about her with others who like and appreciate her like me. I only joined nairaland for korean dramas, reading thoughts about dramas made me more interested in this forum, because i was surprised when i discovered this thread, so i've been a silent reader, sometimes i read some posts here and laugh, but reading the comments here these few days did spoil my mood, and i broke my silence and post something.
Though is okay for everyone to voice their opinions, but think of others like me, who disagree with it, thats one of the reason why i don't criticize, because i know i'm not a better judge and no is either, I'ld rather say it to myself. I don't think i'll visit here after today, i should just stay at soompi instead.
I'm a talkative, so sorry for my long post.

I first watched her in "iris" and I wasn't impressed. Then came "my princess". I dint say she's not tryn, she is but (how will I put it now) "she is getting there(still not there yet).
There are a lot of actresses(even actors) I had the same problem with but I will mention Park min young. Trust me,I dint even like her before. watched City hunter and wasn't impressed with her acting. same goes to Dr jin,skk scandal but she really brought her A-game in healer. I was convinced thoroughly that she has finally become a true actress (I think ppl noticed it too).
Ku hye-sun(blood,BOF) she still hasn't impressed me.
There are a lot more.

Like I said,I don't hate KTH neither do I dislike her but her acting isn't there yet and I know it will get there soon.

KTH is just so good at making people boil right from her debut.
