Next time you're making a comment, try to be sensible at least. It's you that is having a backward mentality and not Africans. It is inferiority complex and low self-esteem that's making you to think that the so-called Americans and the white men are always right in whatever they do. You should know we are Africans and not Europeans. A married woman who is responsible will never condescend so low to get that intimate with another man simply because the man is a celebrity. To the story; Your “friend “ should tell her about his discomfort and allergies ,get her good toiletries but I hope he won’t complain when she leaves the business and start depending on him in his One room apartment?

First thing is do not assume but rather let her know that she has that smell and the impact on her person, her clothes , her aura , her environment and finally her man.

Sit down like human beings and discuss.

Then take steps to resolve it. That smell can be overpowering and nauseating especially when you are in that business. (Even handling some fish while cooking can leave a strong odor on the body, clothes and environment)...

But talk it out first and address next steps - including :

Wearing apron, protective clothings and gloves while handling the fish. Taking a full body bath after handling fish - using bleach, vinegar to reduce odor on body and clothes. Washing with deodorized soaps. Etc

And finally you may consider leaving that line of business.

It's actually a big deal since the threat poses a great risk to the man's health. Now, his girlfriend has to either withdraw from the business or up her hygiene. Wearing strong cologne won't make any difference if the clothes are dirty. The lady in question should have a designated outfit for the business, preferably white. Afternoon close of work, when she gets home, she should bleach the complete outfit and then wash. That way, her clothes won't carry the fish smell. She should also wash her hair at the end of business each day. With this practice, I doubt if she can carry thr smell around.

Recent charitable events point to this.

I won't dare go near that place. It took me a lot of guts to rush that guy to the hospital cos he was almost dead at the time I took him there. Even some passersby refused to help cos of the fear of police hanging the incident on them. When I got to the hospital, I was scared, I sensed the hospital was trying to contact to police to come arrest me, I had to take off immediately. Didn't know this was going toake the news. I'm surprised I found it here on nairaland

No amount of perfume can suppress the fishy smell except she stops doing the business. You won't understand. My friend is my next door neighbor and I sometimes sleep in his room , I enter his room like it's my own and he does same with mine. I can attest to everything written here. I have the evidence, I have the video of the smell if u want to watch it. As I type, I can even perceive the smell 😂😂😂😂. It's irritating

To avoid it, let her wash thoroughly before coming to his house. This is the best approach.

If she ticks his box and is a good woman to him, the best solution is good hygiene.
