There was debate on media but if you actually understand the game, it's clear that Ronaldo's football ability although very great is not Messi level. He's a great player but Messi does everything he can't do except flying like a peregrine falcon.

Every reasonable person knows this and that is why I commend Ronaldo for his achievements and making a debate out of Messi.

Like Carragher said, Ronaldo is a great goalscorer but when it comes playing football in general, he's no where near Messi. Ronaldo may have the highest number of goals but Messi is the greatest footballer.

By the way it is worth mentioning here that Spain ruined FIFA's script for Portugal as Wasiu couldn't deliver. FIFA tried their best for Wasiu but it was never to be.

Me too. I always knew Messi was better but I was a his fan regardless. I think the straw that broke the camel's back finally was that disrespect against United the 2nd time and then his toxic fanbase defending everything.

Messi have always respected their rivalry even when Ronaldo was ahead of him in terms of accolades but not the same with Ronaldo who has been extremely cocky and always dissing Messi with backhanded compliments and saying he doesn't regard him. Then you see the drama from his family always attacking Messi and his teammates.
