Your problem most times is comprehension. Prosper shared a headline that said "Foreign Airlines Dispute CBN's claim of settled Fx backlogs."

With your agenda tainted glasses and biro, you rushed to crop and post one side of the disputing parties to run agenda while ignoring the other.

Seeing as you don't know what dispute means I had to intervene cheesy. That's why I told you the Headline was correct.

The Headline is correct oga. Is this part below also part of the article?

Against claims by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that it has successfully settled all outstanding foreign exchange (FX) obligations, foreign airlines says the status quo remains the same.

Kingsley Nwokeoma, President, Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria, (AFARN) told BusinessDay that as far as he is concerned, nothing has changed as regards clearing foreign airlines’ trapped funds.

“If they say they have cleared the trapped funds, they should show us figures. They should tell us how much have been cleared. The last I checked, the status quo still remains the same,” Nwokeoma said.

You are all over the place, confusing defending of Naira with FX to printing money. Meffy spent $11bln in 7 months in legitimately earned FX to DEFEND Naira. This is not the same as printing Naira. So if you can't distinguish between the two. what further conversation is there to have?

The 7 months of Meffy spending FX is just a snapshot of time. Meffy spends FX every month like any CBN Governor, so you putting a finite date on it just shows you lack understanding of what you are debating. Defending of Naira with FX is an ongoing process that never stops, from 1980 till now. Even Cardoso is doing It now but to a much lesser extent and with much more limited FX. It must be done year in, year out, month in, month out to keep Naira value stable. Sanusi over the course of his tenure defended Naira with over $20bln in legitimately earned FX for example. Tinubu met the FX depleted because Meffy had pledged most of our FX as collateral against Govt borrowing, and that's why Naira is gyrating.

Simple and plain, YES at the bolded.

It is my job to give you information. It is your job to interpret based on your level of understanding, or to run agenda based on your political affiliation.
The FX spent within that time frame was what Oasis brought up as an excuse for why naira massively lost value against the dollar when Tinubu came in. He brought it up, I didn't.

As for agenda, it's a normal thing here, Oasis brought a headline for agenda, I countered with my own agenda. All is fair in love and war here. Don't act surprised.

If my extremes are more open, what do I think they want? Ball at the foot to take advantage of the 1x1. I have to play with the quality I have at my side.”

“I can't ask Marcus Rashford and Garnacho , pure wingers, to play inside in the same way as others who perhaps started their careers as midfielders or as number 10s and fell to the lines. I can't ask Rashford or Garnacho to do what Bernardo does when he plays as a winger. It's a completely wrong idea, because Bernardo knows how to be between the lines, he's used to being in the middle and playing from the back is not as simple as it seems.”

“It's obvious, because players who like to play with the ball want to have it as much as possible, but sometimes we have to fit into the environment we're in. And it's not possible for us to play in the same way as Manchester City , because Manchester City has supporting wingers, very good in 1x1 too, but footballers who really like to play in support and also inside.”

There was even no time dollar fell to 1400 yesterday. Just ignore the sensational headlines.

What happened was that Abokis were syphoning dollar from mugus at 1400 and selling it at 1500.

Banks were still doing 1500 yesterday if you sell to them and some foolish people were selling to Abokis at a 100 naira discount. Even the official rate on NAFEM closed at 1492.

I don't even care about the sensational headlines per say. As we are celebrating naira's fight back, I just wanted OasisX to also tell us where we started from, not just where we are at the moment so that our joy may be full.

Someone is talking about lack of foreign exchange to defend Naira, you are countering with Tinubus suggestion of quantitative easing as response to the pandemic at the height of the pandemic in March 2020 when most countries enacted QE. Nobody asked Meffy to be printing 24/7 to balance budget, your screenshot is time specific to March 2020 when most of the Worlds GDP collapsed by up to 30% so everyone knows that suggestion is time-specific, and what it is in response to. USA GDP growth for March 2020 highlighted below for example.

Quantitative easing is a recognised policy tool to jumpstart consumption during severe economic downturns. along with aggressive rate cuts and asset purchase programs; and every economist called for that all around the world during COVID as a textbook response to the slump of March 2020.

Ignorance should not be worn on the head as a badge of honour. Someone is talking A, you are talking B.

The CBN injected that amount into the economy between January - July 2022. That's almost a year before Tinubu was sworn in. From August 2022 to May 2023 was CBN still doing the same?

In between that time frame naira was fairly stable till Tinubu got sworn in, made a reckless subsidy gone speech and everything spiked overnight. What caused the sudden spike on all fronts? Emefiele's defence of the naira 9 months ago? Lack of fx to continue defending the naira? Or the sudden economic uncertainty from the president's speech?

Mind you and for the avoidance of doubt, exchange rate is determined by inflation, interest rate, public debt, political stability, economic health of the country, especially growth and development etc

So it's a pathetic excuse to say Meffy's 2022 intervention is the reason naira went from 600 per dollar to over 1600 per dollar under Tinubu in a matter of months.

All this nonsense shalaye and excuse won't cut it. Whatever mess we are seeing today, Tinubu is among the chief culprits responsible for it.

He said he made the disastrous Buhari president, not only that he gave Buhari the economic template to run Nigeria which has led us where we are today.

So you can run from here to Katangora, he's highly responsible for this mess.

Excuses excuses excuses every time. You and Tinubu should off the road joor.
