To be honest, even if Khamenei is dead, I don't think his death is enough to topple the regime..

The IRGC is an institution and it is embedded deeply into the fabric of governance and civil service in Iran...
I'm not even sure killing a thousand officials would topple them...

It has to be said though that if the SL is dead, then internal conflicts and disagreements that have been festering might just rip open and end the regime via internal turmoil and infighting...

That is why Iran is also attacking US military formation in Iraq. During the 2011 NATO military showdown against Gaddafi, NATO declared no fly zone in Libya and enforced it. Because Libya had no radar, or modern air defense systems.

Israel's attack has been through their Airforce and they have been entering Iranian airspace at will and bombing targets without any hiccups.
