A40: We accept that there are bad elements in all religions. But only one is an existential threat everywhere. Haba. All corners of the globe
The only places that are immune are the places that are very strict and match your intolerance energy e.g China
I don't even believe in group guilt as I don't expect anybody to answer for crime wey him no personally commit.
But you can't gag anyone that talks about how this is upending people's lives and not expect push back Everytime they throw Islamaphobia around to gaslight. I know every Muslim here will panick and run if they're in an enclosed space and suddenly hear shouts of Allahu Arkbar.......are they also Islamophobic? |

Amoto94: Islamophobia and some Muslims committing crimes are not mutually exclusive, two truths can co-exist. Suddenly you found your voice but some days ago you were nowhere to be found when the news of crime committed by your tribesmen was posted on this same thread. This selective outrage and condemnation by some of you only exposed the fact that you're not interested in truth sharing but agenda. There is no irrational fear of Islam here. The fear is based lived experience of past and present acts of terror committed by Islamic extremists all over the world. Just yesterday, an ECWA church in Kogi was attacked while everyone is focused on the Bondi attack. In all these attacks, the terrorists always praise Allah by shouting Allahu Akbar, everytime. About the Bondi attack, you came here to quickly claim a Muslim disarmed one of the attackers but one peaceful Muslim couldn't prevent or save the innocent 16 people shot dead by his true believing Muslim jihadist brothers. One act of heroism can never erase the massive trail of blood in the name of Allah. If people still hear the shout of Allahu Akbar in a crowded place, everyone will take off including you. It really doesn't matter the number of so called peaceful Muslims if they can't stop their brothers in faith from committing terrorists attacks and mass murders in the name of Allah. So don't ever come here to mention Islamaphobia again if you can't handle the true believers in your course. Just check out the list in the link below... https://x.com/i/status/2000182906031841569 |

TemporaryHansel: A general overhaul of the mindset of the Nigerian populace? Do you think that is possible?
I agree with you that it's more of mindset problem, but that problem can't be solved because of tribalism, religion, and illiteracy. Unless you want to Thanos the population I don't think there's anything that can be done. The country is doomed. The 3 fold cord from the depths of hell. Concerning mindset overhaul though, it's possible, it will only take time. Personally, living in Nigeria and having that mindset of doom is counter productive. In as much as we are overwhelmed daily with bad news, I try as much as possible not to dwell and feed off the energy that comes from it. |

TemporaryHansel: Unless the poor are banned from voting in this country, this cycle will keep repeating itself infinitely. The real issue is not material poverty as much as it is poverty of the mind. It's more of a mindset problem honestly. |

raumdeuter: Mind you its not only in Africa. Its all over the world
If you know how many people believe the solution to a country's problem is to take from those who build legitimately and give to others
Try am just sit outside and propose that why cant Tinubu just take away Dangote, Otedolas Ibetos money and share with everyone. Then we will be good
A lot of Americans believe taking Elon Musk and billionaires wealth and sharing with others is the solution to America's problem
Imagine govt just seize Tesla or X and just hand it over to me. My life go sweet. Sure it will be but its almost certain that in a few years time the companies will fail Communism has never worked anywhere. It rather destroys thriving productive economies and turns societies who has implemented it into stagnation and backwardness. |

donjazzet: Nobody is envious about anyone. I will always suspect that distroy account as an alternate of nihilist but I guess, one can only keep observing.
We bash "SOME" of the abroadians because their political opinions come across not just as foolish but extremely WICKED. Obainojazz, Roland, dead presidents are also abroadians and no one bashes them because they don't support the corrupt and evil men in this government.
All of us in this country suffer directly and indirectly from the misrule of this government you cannot expect people to smile with you when you talk shit from the position of convenience abroad. That is wickedness! Nihilist seems to be the demon you can't exorcise, very powerful he haunts you night and day. You see him practically in any thing that clashes with your beliefs, he's always in the shadows plotting, creating alternate monikers just to mock you and get under your skin. He enjoys tormenting you by playing hide and seek with different monikers and watching you try to unmask those monikers. It's very accurate to say he lives rent free in your subconscious, a place you’ve turned into his comfort zone simply by the attention you keep feeding it. Ironically, starving him of that attention might make him disappear but your ability to see him in the shadows is just too strong. To an outside observer like me, it’s a fascinating, almost tragic spectacle to behold every time. |

raumdeuter: You have not been or seen a takeover before or let's say you didnt really witness OBJ time. If you think Tinubu or Buhari is close to it. You are free to criticize the ruling party, the opposition in Nigeria is not being neutralised, they are doing it to themselves. Do you think the ruling party did not try to neutralize Tinubu when he was opposition?
Jonathan took Tinubu to CCB, has Tinubu taken any opposition leader to any court or attempted to jail them?
Is Tinubu responsible for PDP inability to organize themselves which led to their imminent collapse?
Is Tinubu also supposed to manage the affairs of LP on behalf of Obi to ensure they do not scatter?
Was PDP helping ACN manage its affairs whole they were in opposition
The lack of discipline of Nigerian politicians to stay in opposition like Tinubu did for 16yrs cannot be placed on one party
How did the judiary look comprised? Give specific examples. Cos its the same judiciary that canceled Bayelsa election that APC won. Its the same judiciary that declared PDP the winner in Osun and many states
Actually PDP leaders have come out to credit Tinubu for treating them well and not like opposition Make we watch match tonight, I lack the strength for long post tonight. Tomorrow we'll touch on what you've said |

raumdeuter: How are we? Have you seen any Nigerian leader refused to vacate office after 8yrs or change the constitution? The only one that tried it was OBJ and was roundly condemned though he carried the bitterness till today It’s very glaring now when you look at how Talon slowly converted Benin into an almost one party state. Opposition got neutralized by all means through legal and political means until dissent practically disappeared. The same script is unfolding in Nigeria. Instead of focusing on governance, Tinubu's priority is coercing or enticing opposition members into defecting and joining APC thereby weakening the only counterbalance to power. The judiciary looks compromised, acting more like an extension of the executive than an independent branch and the legislature has become little more than a stamp machine. When all arms of government align under one interest, democracygradually turns to autocracy. It's true we've not gotten to the level of jailing opposition leaders and all, but the trajectory is alarmingly familiar. |
