this committee is dead at arrival. How would you expect the same Niger Deltans that felt being unjustly treated by northern elements be willing to give out their arms to a committee being headed by a northerner. Can't Buhari do anything without using fellow northerner to head it? |
Is this the new face of fight against boko haram |
The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari swapped 4 Boko Haram Commanders in exchange for 21 Chibok girls who were released a few weeks ago, our investigations can exclusively reveal. In addition, the administration also paid a ransom of $5m. A senior official within the Directorate of State Security told LeadersNG that the swap and ransom payment was done against the advice of the agency. “We warned Mr. President not to swap those prisoners for the Chibok girls. Those prisoners were among the most dangerous boko haram commanders and are IED experts who have been responsible for several bombings and deaths of innocent Nigerians.” our source said. Our source went on to link the recent upsurge in the activities of the insurgents to the release of the 4 prisoners and the payment of the ransom. According to him, “With these men back in the Boko Haram fold, they now have expert weapons and tactical knowledge that they have been deprived of for a while.” “It is public knowledge that Lt. Col MA Ali, one of Nigerians finest officers was recently killed during a Boko Haram attack. Several other officers whose deaths have not received wide press coverage were also killed as well. In fact, the media is not reporting a lot of the casualties being suffered by the Nigerian army and civilians as a result of the war on terror.” Our investigations revealed that Boko Haram has been requesting for the release of the 4 prisoners, who were arrested after security agencies had trailed them for as long as two years, as part of negotiations for the release of the Chibok girls since the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Sources within the DSS say that shortly before the 2015 presidential election President Jonathan had almost succumbed to political pressure from within and outside Nigeria to accede to the prisoner swap before he was advised against it by Isreali Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Many people within the Jonathan administration had sought to use to release of the Chibok girls as a campaign tool for his re-election in 2015. The prisoners had already been put into a car before the conversation between Jonathan and Netanyahu during which Netanyahu prevailed on him to ignore the possible political benefits accruable from the release of the Chibok girls and focus on the best interests of the nation. Our sources say Netanyahu had told Jonathan that security reports from the Isreali security apparatus indicated that Nigeria had more to lose from the release of the prisoners than she stood to gain from the release of the Chibok girls. Further investigation shows a growing discontent within the Nigerian security community as casualty figures from renewed Boko Haram attacks rise. The Nigerian Army is particularly shaken up with the death of Lt. Colonel MA Ali, who was killed during in a Boko Haram attack on a military installation a few days ago. He was very popular within the Nigerian Army for his bravery and had led the efforts to liberate Gamboru Ngala, Gwoza, Banki, Bama and other towns from Boko Haram control. Lt. Colonel Ali, an armoured tank expert who favoured the Russian made T-72 tank, was killed during a night raid while outside his tank. “We warned Mr. President not to release these prisoners. But he was more concerned about the political mileage he stood to benefit from the release of the Chibok girls than the consequences of paying a ransom or releasing these dangerous men. So he ignored our advice. Many people within the security services of the country are very unhappy that Mr. President ordered the release of the prisoners. There is a lot of unhappiness because this means that Boko Haram will be reinvigorated and the war will be prolonged. http://scannewsnigeria.com/featured-post/4-ied-boko-haram-experts-were-released-in-exchange-for-chibok-girls-5m-cash/ |

Just keep on the watch and see what becomes of the investigation. Remember, EFCC and the presidency said that they won't investigate Amaechi based on rumor, this equally mean that b4 EFCC set out to investigate anyone, they have valid facts. Let's see what that fact will become at the end of their claimed investigation Oblang: |
agabusta: Depending on which side of the divide one belongs to, your argument will seem meaningful to your conscience. But let us consider certain factors that outplayed during the past administration's fight against boko haram: *When GEJ's administration went all out against boko haram, what was the reaction of Northern Elders Forum? They said that GEJ have declared war against the North. *When the then Chief of Army Staff, Maj.Gen. Ihegirika led an unslaught against boko haram in the famous sambisa forest, the same northern elders forum petitioned ICC alleging that Ihegirika and Nigerian govt is committing genocide against the north. *When the administration of GEJ sought for loan to purchase arms and ammunition, the opposition APC kicked against it in both legislative chambers causing the Nigeria armed forces to be ill equipped for the fight. *When USA refused to sell ammunition to Nigeria, the APC hailed them. But when the govt resorted to illegal market to ensure that Nigeria armed forces is adequately equipped, the same APC accused everyone that played a role in the process including Bishop Ayodele,(former CAN President) *Finally when the loan was granted, we all saw the result. With all of these, isn't it clear that the then opposition party, APC and the Northern Elders Forum have hidden role and support for boko haram? |
I can't be deceived. The claimed investigation is a mere plot to help his fight against corruption gain media acceptance |
that was my camp. One of the best camps in Naija |
OkoYibo:those women you saw are not as coward and fearful as your stupid mother who in the midst of intimidation and unjust treatment keeps singing praises to the oppressors. |
How many languages are there in rivers state? Don't speak ignorantly Funnicator: |
check tomorrow's dailies, you'll find claims by EFCC that they have not received any petition against Feyemi. Thereafter, the presidency will say that they can't investigate him based on rumors. |

the unbridled exhibition of your stupidity have underscored the reason why you are yet to acknowledge the fact that the overblown and over publicized claim of fight against corruption by present administration is nothing but a device to silence the opposition. |
Their protest is in good conscience and justified. Why should her account be frozen because of $15m found in her account for a woman that have served as First Lady of this nation for 6 good years, first Lady of oil rich bayelsa state for over 5 yrs? More to this is the failure of the presidency to investigate or seize the accounts of people like Speaker Dogara, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, and many other corrupt officials that are in APC. So this is truly not fight against corrupt but witch-hunt against political opponents. |

rabex123: point of correction - GEJ never looted you. If you are searching for those that looted you dry, go to your archive and search for your past Governors , Military Administrators and Head of States . The looting that kept Nigeria in this parochial state didn't occur within the last administration. But why it is becoming increasing visible today is as a result of poor leadership on the part of PMB and his cabinet. |
stop using the word "arrest". EFCC do not longer arrest ppl, what they do is kidnap. While in their den as a hostage, you'll be forced to sign already prepared documents which serve as your ransom. |
Tell her that I got one for free |
989900D:you are right because Eko ladies are too dirty |
Rossikk:Isn't that too far? I thought your prediction will be something like 10 to 20 years |
Yes PMB is right on this. The aggrieved governors are suppose to know that the president have hearing impairment so putting their complain on black and white will make him have clearer understanding of their complaints. |
look at this Olodo Lalong talking about maturity as if he knows what maturity is all about. The reason why he (Olodo Lalong) is saying these is because he s scared that he might loss his slot soon if Tallen had accepted the offer. |
i stands to be corrected on this question :what is Adamawa state producing to earn more than Abia state? I still feel that there is fowl play in the allocation of resources in Nigeria. Someone plz put me through on the parameters used in determining what each state is entitled to get as allocation. |
Let me laugh

kropotkin2:does Jonathan's approval made the SUVs military equipment? He should return it the way others are returning their monies. |
This episode is really touching because I belong to the group of 36-40. I'm in dire need of a wife but can't risk jumping into a woman for marriage without saying for at least 8-12 months. This means that the age is still soaring higher. ![]() |
