Let us not forget that Nigeria is not a producing nation. Most businesses whether directly or indirectly depend on dollar. We look for dollar for everything, even to pay school fees. We invest so much in other countries economy.

When i first heard about the spiritual implication of this act, I doubted it and went online to look for some justification.

My Real life story.

1. I never enjoyed sex with my first wife. NEVER!!! After sex, i will still masturbate. I enjoyed the act more than being with her.

2. My purpose in life diminished. At that time, I couldnt even write down what i want in life. My mind and soul were filled with sexual acts and images.

3. I remained stagnant in life and became a very unhappy person.

4. I started looking older than my age due to excessive unhappiness and worry.

5. I became a chronic sex addict. All i think of was sex and masturbation. I started sleeping with different women. My body count was almost 300 women. No joke!! I will never want to sleep with a woman twice. I wonder how i never went broke because i was paying N20-30k per sex. After having sex with them, I will still go home and masturbate. That was the utmost satisfaction i was getting in life.

6. Women became sex objects. I look left and right while driving or walking to access boobs and asses.

7. I lost my marriage, friends and close family members. I had no kids in my first marriage (masturbation was a contributing factor). I became a chronic introvert.

8. My business struggled. I would even masturbate in the office when I couldnt control the urge.

I was alone in that masturbating world for 25years. Not a single soul knew this unholy act. My ex wife thought i was very faithful because I could go 2-3months without having s3x with her. Secondly, I pondered over these triggers over and over again and found out that one trigger led to another.

My number 1 trigger was SOCIAL MEDIA / MY PHONE!!! Before now, it would have been porn magazines.

I would not masturbate without images or videos. The escort sites always led me to have illicit sex with several women. So i had to deal with the temptation from my phone.

I deleted all my social media accounts, downloaded a paid block site app on my phone and added all apps, porn and escort sites. I even deactivated whatapp status. I made my phone for just calls and reply messages.

I was very very intentional to stop. It was difficult at first but i knew if i deal with the trigger, i 'd be free.

Its been 1year now,
no illicit sex,
no porn,
no masturbation.
I am expecting a child with my new partner
I am much happier now
I can focus now
I sleep better now
I feel very light and energized
My business turned around for good
Havnt joined a church yet but I pray and fast without any guilt.

I love my life now.

You have to be very intentional to stop masturbation.

Depression is real and typing or speaking from experience, I can tell you how is feels.

Firstly, you need a good support system. From either good friends or family. Some may not understand what you are going through but you still need them.

Secondly, NEVER isolate yourself. NEVER be alone. The more you stay alone the more damage you would causing to yourself and mental state. If you are still with the toxic partner, you probably need a break to get yourself out of this pit.

Thirdly, you need enough sleep. I wouldnt encourage anti-depressant drugs. You can try swallowing garlic before bedtime.

Fourthly, you to exercise. A simple 30-40mins outdoor brisk walking will make the difference. You may not feel the impact initially but remaining consistent overtime you will feel the great effect. Also please drink lots of water. At least 4Liters per day

Fifthly, write down your thoughts. This helps greatly!!! Write as much as you can. At this depressive state, your mind will be processing alot and you may end up making wrong decisions. Writing your thoughts would organize your mind and purge unwanted thoughts.

Lastly, reduce talking about what made you depressed. The more you talking about it, the more depressed you maybe. It is allowed to vent for 20min Max per day.

You have to be intentional about your effort to defeat depression. If you are still with the toxic partner, please avoid talking to much about the toxic events for now. You can only have a constructive with a clear mind.

Be in control of your thoughts and ALWAYS stay positive
