I'm a big believer that most entrepreneurs fail for basically 2 reasons...

1. They don't make a CHOICE to be successful. Notice the all caps...success is a choice - we can either choose to make it or take a different path. There is no in between. It really is that simple.

Once this choice is made we stop pointing fingers, we hold ourselves accountable for our actions (both good and bad) and we constantly strive to do more...and to do better.

2. The 2nd reason people fail is because they do not have a road-map. They do not have a step by step plan of attack and showing "showing them the ropes".
There's A LOT to be said about finding a mentor and "shadowing" that person.

Become one with them...follow them around like nothing else.

When I first got involved with direct response marketing I "ate up" anything by "the GURUS" in the system. Not just any guru, but one with undoubtedly, outstanding results and proofs. This is KEY.

Learn from others WHO HAVE ALREADY DONE IT.

They've been there...they have "done that".

That is using a BLUEPRINT.

There is no need to reinvent the wheel.

You have complete control over the choices that you make. You are responsible for everything that takes place in your business...the good, the bad and yes...the ugly.

Step up and make the CHOICE that you are going to be a success and then find someone who is been there and done that........Shadow that person.

Your success lies in the choices that you make...that's a lot of responsibility, but it's the absolute truth - we can kick back, point fingers as to why things aren't happening or we can DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO REACH SUCCESS.

Success is a Choice. That Choice is up to you.

Once you have made the choice, regardless of what you are marketing or doing in the online space, Locate a FIGURE in that field.

There are a few tried and tested principles that one needs to incorporate if they expect to make a substantial amount of money online...

It revolves around this EXTREMELY SIMPLE formula that anyone can do.

1. Setup a capture page to generate leads - the fastest way of building an organization and making money revolves around this concept...you need to have others approaching you!

2. Setup a marketing funnel - follow up emails to your list of prospects. Establish your expertise...share good content that adds value to their life and this will take place. Remember, prospects buy from experts and people they trust.

3. Incorporate some offers in your marketing funnel - sale 'em some eBooks, digital downloads, have someone interview you...create a video series, etc. You get the idea, but create products that you can sell to your list that solves a problem they have.

4. Drive targeted prospects to your capture page (note: Always drive visitors to a capture page, collect the lead...NEVER take someone straight to your company site or a page that's full of content, links, etc).

Once you collect the lead, you can be sure you of building a relationship with that prospect. Generate the lead then focus on solving their problems. Drive traffic using PPC, article marketing, video distribution sites (YouTube, Metacafe, etc), forum postings, etc - there are a lot of quality methods of getting good traffic. that is what i do with my emails to ensure my prospects are getting important information.

5. Understand that the database you're creating is the MOST IMPORTANT asset your business possesses (besides the knowledge between your ears). Don't mistreat your prospects...remember, you're creating "YOU INC".

Essentially, your "brand" is your name and reputation...don't destroy it. When someone opts into your list, share content and solid advice to those people. Mix in some offers but remember, it's about them...not your wallet. When you take care of your list it will take care of you.

6. Finish creating your marketing funnel so whether your prospects sign up or not, you're making money. This means thinking outside the box and communicate your offers/solutions both online and offline.
