Hello VO, I kindly need to clarify an issue. we applied for a B1/B2 visa sometime in 2014 and we actually used the visa for the purpose which was tourism in April 2014. I now got pregnant almost the same time we got the visa. In August 2015 we all travel (myself, toddler and husband) to have the baby. However before then, we had written the consulate about our intention to have the baby months before the travel date. Now fast forward to 2017 the Visa expired in Feb. My husband now applied for just himself as he had an emergency work trip. My self and toddler now did out drop box in June. Passport was returned and was asked to schedule an interview but the interview was just for me as they didn't include my toddler. The visa was denied after the whole story telling but unfortunately i forgot to mention to them that we had written the consulate to inform them of our intent of having a baby in the US. After some weeks my husband scheduled for our toddler and he went with her and the visa was granted.. Now i want to reapply but i don't know if i am to do a drop box or to start a fresh application. Thank you. |
To the seniors in the house or anyone who can help please. we were told by a family friend that if the primary applicant eventually revoke his PR (my hubby) while we remain in Canada, we will eventually loose out from applying for citizenship in the future or even have issues because we are his dependent and he was the one that signed all there is to sign on our behalf . The plan was for us to all go and hubby returns back to Naija as he is not ready to move now. How true is this family friends information?. Also i know there are couple of families that go that route of hubby not staying but visiting , how does this work for them? what procedure did they follow. I will appreciate all your opinion please. Thank you. |
shaddie:Please members in the house i also look forward to someones response with regards to the question asked above. I also need to know. Thank you. |

[quote author=Dammiehar post=55900176]Elsharon Hi Good morning i have been following this thread for some time now. I have a similar question with regard to your response.in my own case she is not my biological daughter. She has been with me for the past 4yrs. As we know in the Nigerian system we dont do the formal process. She was practically given to me by the parents when i was in need of a help. Now in the case of the Journey, what do you advice we do. Please i need your advice. All the guru's in the house. In this case, I think you need to adopt her legally. You will have to talk to a lawyer about proper adoption process, as the parents will need to sign her off to you. Ok. Thank you. |
[quote author=Bimpsy99 post=55880604]From the top of my head, She is ur child whether u were married then or not as long as you have her birth certificate to show for it as well as other evidences like her naming picture, family picture you all took together at some point. An LOE would do, main thing is the birth certificate of three of you involved. She's not ur adopted child but your biological child and you just have to demonstrate that tie. That's all Hi Good morning i have been following this thread for some time now. I have a similar question with regard to your response.in my own case she is not my biological daughter.
