Phones / Re: Mobile Fone Apps Stores! Apple Store, Google Play, Ovi Store And BB Apps World. by emabe: 8:25pm On Sep 23, 2013
drnoel: App stores are web based markets which offers more than just mobile apps. They are also Websites that aggregate software solutions for business or personal use. App stores, also known as an applications marketplace, are typically created and built by a “marquee” vendor, such as Apple, Google, Nokia, or BB, that serves as the anchor tenant for the marketplace. App stores serve as a hub where you can discover, search for, purchase and deploy integrated third-party applications.
The marquee vendors that run the marketplaces typically have a strong brand and a large customer base since no one vendor will ever have the time or expertise to build every possible application that a customer might want. But marquee vendors can attract developers to build complementary applications to sell to their large customer base.

Now lets move out of the literature. I have personally used lots of apps from different app stores. I have used apps from nokia store when I had my 5700. I also used BB when i used curve, then apps from apple when I initially used iphone 2. Now am using apps from google cos both my tablet and fone are androids (Galaxy S series). I would say I am quite happy to stay with android for the time being, atleast until they diappointment me. I like google app market.

So here is where u guys come in. Tell us what fone u used and how their apps where. Tell us what ur problems are with the app market u have tried. Tell us if u would recommend a particular app market. I know some of u use MTN, Glo or Etisalate app stores. What are ur major problems with these stores. I for one dislike mtn store.
Mods, this is a recast of a thread I mistakenly posted elsewhere but I do hope its now in its right place.
Hmm, streaming.
By the way my first fone was 3310, then 2300, 3650, N7, motorola X series, then iphones. Before I moved on to androids. Nokia ovi store is cool, apple store is also nice but one has to buy most of their apps. Android is more friendly.

karl max: please were no foools or hypocrites like some of you are on nairaland !!!!! And please don't change what the article said . Here's what the article said and I quote

"According to Mojisola Abdul, the president/chief executive officer of MOJEC, all arrangements have been concluded with the partners to set up the company in Nigeria before the end of this year or latest first quarter of 2013. When the factory is fully operational, she said, it would serve the yawning Nigerian and African meter markets."

It is only a hypocrite and a liar that would take the part of a sentence that suits his agenda and discard the Others.

U choose the part of the statement that says "or latest 2013" but delibrately disregarded the part that came before the statement u and ur fellow resident hypocrites on nairaland are hanging on to .

Which is " all arrangements have been concluded with the partners to set up the company in Nigeria before the end of this year"

And the article was written on the 13 sep 2013 it means the author of the story made a mistake.
U really are less than minus

Hey talk about urself. I know a friend whose wife is so gentle and nice it would bring tears to a hard man's eyes. My guy that married her was one of the hardest man i ever knew. Never had any scruples about beating chicks in Uni then and girls used to line up to date him then cos they were sure of protection if he was sleeping with them. A confirmed hard man in school then. He is married now and he worships his wife. Treats her like an egg. He is one reason i respect the power a married woman welds over her husband.

.Jonathan met with the Queen of England. He asked her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there... any tips you can give to me? I want to help Nigeria""Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people." Jonathan frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?" The Queen took a sip off her cup of tea. "Oh, that's easy; you justask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please ... send Tony Blair in here, would you?" Tony Blair walked into the room and said, "Yes, Your Majesty?" The Queen smiled and said,"Answer me this please. Tony, your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?" Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered, "That would be me." "Yes! Very good," said the Queen. Jonathan went back home toask N. Sambo, his vice presidential choice the same question. "Sambo, answer this for me. Yourmother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?" "I'm not sure,8-|" said Sambo. "Let me get back to you on that one..." He went to his advisors and asked every one, but none could give him an answer. Finally, one night, he ran into Dora Akunyili #:s. Sambo asked, “Dora, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?" Dora answered sharply, "That's easy, it's me! / smiley" Sambo smiled, and said,"Thanks!" Then, he went back to speak with Jonathan. "Sir,I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle. It's Dora Akunyili! =D" Jonathan got up angrily, frownin ghe said to Sambo. No wonder Nigeria isn't moving forward, I don't have intelligent people around me. !You Dummy! Politics / Re: Bakassi Natives Sue Nigeria Over Cession To Cameroon by emabe: 10:01am On Oct 06, 2012
There really was no need for this. The FG had admitted after serious pressure from d house that since the GTA was not signed into law by the law maker. It was against the 1999 Nigerian constitution and so not binding on Nigeria. Meaning in plane text that Nigeria would context the ruling b4 d deadline. OBJ may be insulted till tomorrow for signing that threaty but no one knows how much pressure he was to do so by the international community. If u ask, I would say his not including d house gave Nigeria to context the ruling, which am sure he knew would happen. He just wanted to please some people but still give Nigeria a chance to save Bakassi from all these international politic rigmarole.

So wat. Even IBB (d maradona) held sovereign national conference and we all know what good it did Nigeria (nothing). So I ask u guys, so what if GEJ ones to hold one. Looks as much as it is a very good idea. As much as it may open room and space 4 brilliant minds 2 have their. We all know it would all be a waste of precious time and money if things discussed there don't help policy makers do their jobs better or help d government implement better things for the good of d country. Look d end is what matters not d beginning.

k2039: God is talking about people

Satan is not a direct enemy, though. He is not for us to love or hate, but to avoid and ignore

However Satan is doomed for hell anyway,so it doesnt matter.
On d contrary Satan is just a balance in d equation. If there has to be good or bad, then there has to be heaven or hell. The idea of Satan is just to put believers straight and balance an equation of eternal damination since there is eternal happiness in heaven.

ekt_bear: So I'm sure you've heard already about this ancient text that supposedly quotes Jesus referencing his wife (see this if you aren't aware of it: http://www.chron.com/life/houston-belief/article/Five-big-questions-about-the-Jesus-wife-papyrus-3881424.php)

So my question is, why aren't Christians in the US, Nigeria, Europe, South America, Asia etc rioting, protesting, murdering people, blowing up buildings and committing other acts of terrorism, etc?

Shouldn't they be deeply offended? And if so, isn't violence a legitimate way to express displeasure?
Good question. It just proves to show that morden day Christianity is a religion with common sense unlike Islam.

Hmm yes i would say u have some information.Am impressed with ur knowledge ofsome of these fone apps but it seems u r still blind to most faults the BB has. The BB failed badly when it comes to apps. I've compared apps on BB, android and Iphone. I used both S2 and BB but since I got my S2, I gave my BB away. Thats how much d S2 impressed me. 4 me BB is history cos d apps on S2 are better eventhough they may time from d same company. My only headache with d S2 is d touchscreen. Apart from dat d one is a wonder. I just upgraded to S 3 yesterday so will comment on that fone when i have used it 4 sometime.
Phones / Re: Apart From Pinging: What Else Do You Do With BlackBerry? by emabe: 6:20pm On Sep 20, 2012
Aringon: Most people do not need a blackberry, blackberry was meant for business minded individuals, you can use your bb as ur laptop for your business. it wasnt meant to play games on it. For example, if you love more milk in your tea u will always go for a Milo but if u love more chocolate, then Bournvita is okay for u and same goes with the fones. Dont allow people with their reasons to confused and convinced u to buy a fone that will be useless to u.
If you love games and other applications then go for nokia, samsung, sonu ericcson and HTC but if you really love to receive ur email on time and other business stuffs on ur fone on the go, do not waste time on other fones, go for BB. Its a business fone and so it is

Just cos u've only used BB does not mean dat email service is restricted to BB alone. I used my android to roam, browse free of charge and check ma emails when i returned some weeks ago. Android is it men.
