UNIUYO RELEASES CUT-OFF MARKS FOR ADMISSION 30th June,2016 The DEAN OF STUDIES/STUDENTS AFFAIRS of the university of uyo yesterday released the cut off marks for students aspiring to study at the university of uyo. From him “the ranges of this cut-off Mark has been used for years past, and there has been a little improvements this year based on the number of applications”. Quoting exactly what he said: "What I can say is that we normally call to test the aptitude of candidates that scored 180 and above in the UTME examination and 200 for competitive courses, due to jamb instructions and NUC (NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY COMMISSION) rules, but the reality is that we do take candidates that has met the objectives of our own PUTME. I know lots of candidates may think we usually take the average results of both their UTME and PUTME score e.g (210 + 230)/2; no we don’t, we can only consider your Jamb scores when we want to reduce the number of people we admit since we do not have enough accommodation for people here and on occasions that they are too many people heading for a particular department. The cut off mark is something that anyone can’t say it is fixed cause we do change them on many occasions so I will just give you a list of cut of marks that we will take this year during our PUTME so that you can inform others in order to enable them apply when we start selling out our aptitude test forms.” In Uniuyo we have about 92 active programmes operating under 12 FACULTIES until we can expand it to accommodate more and more students. That’s why we have so many project at the university permanent site.
