The lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly (APC ), Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, escaped assassination attempt as unknown gunmen stormed his residence in Twon-Brass area of the state and shot sporadically into the building. 

It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the lawmaker's residence last night and shot for over one hour unhindered after they couldn't get him, according to reports.

Meanwhile, thugs yesterday attacked the secretariat of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Twon Brass in Brass Local Government of Bayelsa State.

The thugs were said to have torched part of the building and burnt the flag of PDP, provoking fears of mayhem in the violent-prone island.
