The Onitsha– Awka and Onitsha-Nnewi-Ihiala monorail which will connect Onitsha to Awka and Nnewi by rail line will soon commence.

The population surge in the State is as a result of the mega infrastructure being put in place by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

After demolition they should make sure that they take over the empty spaces by constructing interlocking pedestrian walkways or ornamental gardens/shrubs where necessary. Don't just leave it bare. And they should clamp down harder on those abakaleke agberos in Onitsha. They are a nuisance. If possible, waybill them back to their state of origin.


After going around the state, I am shocked at the quantum of projects going on in Anambra. Anambra has never had it this good. Soludo is God sent to Anambra. His second term is assured.

The State Anti-Tout Squad (SASA) is clamping down on them.

Anambra is steadily on the rise.

GOVERNOR CHUKWUMA SOLUDO ORDERS DEMOLITION OF SHANTIES IN ALL MAJOR ROADS IN ANAMBRA.

......As OCHA BRIGADE intensify enforcement on removal of shanties along Federal Roads in Onitsha.

The Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra; OCHA BRIGADE has intensified her enforcement on the removal of illegal shanties and structures on the Federal Roads in Onitsha.

The enforcement began with the demolishing of shanties and make-shifts structures constructed by roadside traders along the Federal Enugu-Onitsha and Onitsha–Asaba Expressway.

These shanties were constructed either on the walkway, major roads or under pedestrian bridges from MCC road down to Upper Iweka axis.

The State Government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo has warned against illegal structures barricading water ways, constructed on the major roads, roadside trading and ors. The agency will continue to ensure that all structures are duly removed.

The agency also relocated drivers who have continued to constitute nuisance along the major roads through unauthorized parks and their refusal to use designated motor parks across the road.

Some of the parks were motorists were relocated to includes, Obiano Park, Owerri Central Park and Omanbala Park all located at the bridge head, Onitsha.
