deanoffaculty: This is serious.. Anambra state is the heartbeat of SE. Full of educated and exposed indigenes. I see no reason why they can't kick against this "sit-at-home" thing. A coward called Ekpa is enjoying himself inside AC in good economy and environment, now giving stupid orders on restriction of movement for the good people of Anambra. Nigeria is hard and he is still making things harder on them. For instance I have families there and they are not finding it funny because of this nonsense "sit-at-home". Don't let anybody be deceived: this is not the legacy Ojukwu left for Biafra. Simon and his groups has lost the sense of purpose. Come to think of it, Simon Ekpa is not the one feeding the whole of SE.
At times I wonder if this is foolishness to embrace in SE or everyone is scared to stand their ground.
God bless Nigeria! God bless all Geo-political zones! SE is not a conquered region and Igbo as major ethnic group will chart the way forward for themselves. |

Ojukwu was given a state burial as a way to let them know that the past is past. His wife has been given ambassadorial appointments and is now even a Minister to show that the Nigerian state is welcoming them with open arms.

I didnt fault Okowa when he massively developed his region cos Ibori and Uduaghan didn't do much over there. He has no right to condemned any infrastructure been carried out in Warri axis, since Gov Sheriff is from there. He should appeal to him to see reason to complete the power project. Tell the governor the benefit of it's completion and not playing sentimental politics. He will be a one term senator except Anioma state became a reality before 2027. You will leave ur zone and vote him out as senator abi ?? |

Bizibi: if na the debts na lie!!! I know most things about that administration. When he entered he was complaining about debts then by 2020 I started hearing about the stealing in the government. Look at what gov sheriff is doing in warri and Delta south even with the debts incurred from his predecessors. Okowa is from north but there is nothing to show for it. So every governor who comes in Delta State should face only his region and develop it?? Okay ooo. I don't know why Igbos should be sharing State with minority groups who are selfcentered and only care about themselves. Well, since SE is a homogeneous Igbo region, we will continue to remind the governor to work in Asaba but dividing the State is not the way forward. |

kettykin: Is like the south east thrives on diaspora remittance more than federal allocation. SE thrives on internally generated revenue more than Federal Allocation. Imagine the funds being remitted to Anambra coffers from the over 65 markets in Onitsha metropolis alone. Nnewi, Awka, Ihiala markets are not included yet oooo. The problem with SE is there are many loopholes siphoning government revenue because the amount those governors announce publicly as IGR per each month is way too small. Anambra can fund any mega project without FG input. |

AntiZikist: Long before Ned submitted a bill for the creation of Anioma state , I did a thread here calling for Delta South and Central to be seperated from Delta north.
I based my argument on the growing shift in the demography of Delta state being skewed in facvor of Delta north owing to the mass migration and settlement of Ibos from across the Niger in to Asaba and environs.
I warned that this will not sit well with the gentleman rotational agreement between all tribes in Delta if this migration and settlement continues.
I thank God that Ned's desperation to become Governor by all means has driven him to push for Anioma state and to even yoke it to SE zone because as things are going, Delta north especially Asaba will soon become overwhelmed by Ibos from across the Niger.
Tell Ned to do fast with his Anioma bill so that there won't be any confusion or talk of dragging the rest of Delta as Ibo land and into your Biafra project.
Was this not how present day Abia state became an Ibo territory after the Ibibio people allowed Ibos to settle amongst them only for the Ibos to wage war and take the entire Abia to become an Ibo territory ?
As I said, tell Ned to do quick with his Anioma SE state. Lol. First and foremost, there's nothing like Ibo but Igbo. If you can't pronounce the Gb alphahabet, then head back to Nursery School. Secondly, Asaba has been an Igbo dominated town with Igbo language being recognized as local language of study in all Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Schools. Thirdly, Abia State was never an Ibibio territory but Ibibio people were accommodated by Arochukwu until there was misunderstanding between them and Arochukwu people mobilized themselves warfarely with the help of Igbo clan in Edda(present day Ebonyi State) and chased Ibibios out of their land. So tell me how Abia State became territory of Ibibio who settled only in Arochukwu?? You are simply deluded. |

AntiZikist: Ned is just trying every dirty trick in his tribalism suitcase to get the igboid people to agree to leave Delta state.
The irony here is that Delta South and Central are the provinces that are the economic power engine of Delta state.
Not one single person from Delta South and Central has opposed Ned's clamour for Delta north being carved out to form his Anioma state and from there join his brothers in SE region.
This is the same Ned who critisized the current governor for maintaining a Governor's lodge in Warri and embarking on projects in Warri and Delta South . For the likes of Ned, every project must be cited in Delta north - Asaba to be precise. He wants the state he wants to bulkanize to still be developing his Anioma state until he gets it. Until Anioma State is created, the governor is binded by law to develop the State Capital which is not Warri. |

AntiZikist: I blame you.
After developing that your backward Asaba with resources from Delta South you now have mouth to talk.
Where was Asaba in the 80s when Warri was booming?
Once you get your Anioma which you can all see the people of Delta South are really happy you are going for it, you will no longer parasitize on the rest of Delta South. Asaba developed without much input from the government. In as much as Gov Ifeanyi Okowa paved inner street roads in Asaba, the current governor is not rehabilitating failed ones. It's too bad. If not for Peter Obi's intervention in some layouts and Estates in 3-3/Nkwelle-Ezunaka area of Onitsha, Igbo business men in Onitsha would have bought the whole lands in Asaba by now. |
