I'm a graduate of mechanical engineering (done with NYSC Feb 2021)who is open to learn any engineering or I.T related skills and also open to internship or volunteer to work in any engineering related field.

TALKAM (www.talkam.org) is an initiative of DEVATOP that focuses on utilizing information and technological communication and local method to increase reportage of human trafficking and other human rights abuses in communities and strengthen the response system. TALKAM is a slogan of DEVATOP that birthed the Talkam app. Within the last two years, TALKAM has partnered with U.S Embassy Nigeria, International Centre for Investigative Reporting, Seed for Change, National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, and National Human Rights Commission.

How Funds Raised Will be Used:
1. To expand TALKAM Human Rights Radio Program to 30 locations across Nigeria and other African countries
2. To enhance and maintain TALKAM Human Rights Reporting App so that it can serve citizens across Africa.
3. To empower survivors through skill training
4. To organize massive community sensitization.

Many Non-profits in Nigeria tend to take advantage of the fact that people are willing to work and use it for their benefit. At the end the Volunteers feel used and possibly burnt out from all the work they had to endure. Eventually when they leave the organization, they have traumatic experiences that may prevent them from actually wanting to give Volunteering another chance.

One of the reasons that these happens is because most people don't know when to call out shitty behaviour because it's Volunteering and they are helping "humanity". No focus in site as to why you are volunteering,the role you want and more.

When there is no direction, you will be taken advantage off.

They also provide support, legal and psychosocial services to men who reach out to the organisation

They also need people in advocacy and sensitisation team (any background): You only need to be able to speak on abuse against men, and host conversations on it.
