Chrisrare:Forgive me sir, but ignorance will not be an excuse when the Judgment of the Almighty begins. FYI, the bible will never support any form of unrighteousness. Rape, Slavery and Children killing like you said is never supported by my God and in His word. May God be merciful unto you and grant you the understanding of His word. |

modelmike7:I am sure if he had tried to snatch the policeman's gun, then we would be looking at a criminal case here. However, this kind of brutality is unacceptable. There are due processes to be followed in taking actions against gross misconduct. |

Caveat: This is just a personal opinion with no intent of inflicting psychological trauma or any intent whatsoever of causing racial or tribal schism. My take on the matter is this: although I do not support the use of verbal shelling with a bid to making your point known to your opponent, in a relatively democratic nation as ours. I think FFK is trying to make a point here by highlighting a pattern which should be critically considered by Nigerians other than core Northerners. No doubts, Sir Reno has good intents by his comments on the Mark Z's facebook inclusion of the hausa language as a facebook language, it cannot deride the fact that FFK is seeing a pattern which connects back to our past. He's comments are factual and true. It is not a given that the northerners are driven by power and this may have affected their ability to see that Nigeria is a diverse economy. To Nigerians, other than core Northerners, have you ever taken the time to notice that a northerner in other parts of the country is allowed to worship freely without fear of being trouble whereas those from other religion who resides in Northern parts of the country worship in fear? This is because, it is only in the North you have religious laws enacted according to a particular religion in a country. In my opinion, for a country that is democratic and not "Religiocratic" this ought not to be so. But this was done years before even I was born. So who am I to question that decision. Recently the US secretary of states came to Nigeria and decides to visit the sultan of Sokoto who "coincidentally is a Northerner. And now, most recently and the centre of debate, Mark Z's inclusion of a core Northern Language in what is arguably the most popular social networking site facebook. In conclusion, if you are a Nigerian, other than the core Northerner, and you don't see the pattern that FFK is smart and proactive enough to see, then I do not know what the future holds for you. I rest my case. |
