Applicants are advised to Check FUNAAB’s Brochure and confirm the Admission Requirements into respective Degree Programmes before logging in to fill your e-application form.

UTME Candidates
Candidates must have chosen the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as Most Preferred Institution on the prescribed form obtained from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), sat for the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 160 marks.

DE Candidates
Candidates with a minimum of Upper-Credit or its equivalent, who have also applied to JAMB for admission and chosen the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as Most Preferred Institution.

Further, they are required to have submitted their transcript (OND/HND/NCE candidates) or Certified True Copy of Statement of Results duly stamped by Director/HOD of the institution graduated from (A’level candidates) to the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta not later than Friday, 15th August, 2025.

Guidelines for Online Application
https://www.unibeginner.com/funaab-post-utme-admission-form-is-out/ Eligible candidates are to click on “Login” and enter their JAMB UTME or JAMB Direct Entry Registration Numbers to generate and print out their Application Invoice, which states their REMITA Reference Number and other information required for payment of a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000) , excluding Portal Access and REMITA charges.
Candidates should proceed to any Bank accepting REMITA payment (nationwide) or Online using debit card or via Internet Banking or via the remita website and make payment of the prescribed fee using the REMITA Reference Number.
After payment, candidates are to return to the University’s Admission Portal, log in and complete the e-application form as appropriate.
Across several pages, a candidate’s personal record as fetched from JAMB’s portal is displayed and cannot be altered. Where applicable, ensure you correctly input required information (contact information, O’Level examination details, OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB result).
On the last page (acknowledgement page), candidates are expected to carefully review their application and confirm the entries before clicking on the Submit button. Candidates should thereafter print out and keep the Application Form displaying their passport photograph.
Application opens on Monday, 21st July, 2025 and closes on Friday, 15th August, 2025..
Correction of wrongly entered data attracts a fee of One Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (₦1,500) only as penalty and can be effected online not later than the closing date of the application. Click here for details.

It’s often easy to forget that lightweight warriors Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo fought twice. But Corrales, afforded a little extra time due to his mouthpiece coming out, got back and up and fought back. Downed again, “Chico” this time bought precious seconds by spitting out the mouthpiece. Penalised by the referee, Corrales then somehow, some way roared back and pounded away at the Mexican hard-man to get the stoppage. It was truly breathtaking stuff.

All these years later, and has a fight topped Corrales KO10 Castillo for raw action, for drama, for sheer thrills? Probably not. As we also know, Corrales lost his life on May 7th of 2007, just two years to the day after his legendary, career-defining win.

The two did fight a return, in October of 2005. This time, an over-the-weight Castillo scored a relatively easy fourth-round TKO win. But nobody really remembers that fight. What we do remember, and always will, is the magnificent epic we were treated to when Corrales and Castillo took each other to the absolute limit in May of 2005.

Sugar had been fostered by Heart & Hands Animal Rescue in Ramona, but little was known about her background, just that she was skittish and needed a family to care for her. Stacy had grown up with horses so she liked the idea of providing a homeless horse with a loving and safe place to live. She decided to try pairing Sugar and Charger to see if they could bond. Sugar was 17 years old at the time and Stacy was a little skeptical. After all, a horse and a dog might not be compatible in nature. But that decision, to put Sugar and Charger together, proved to be an excellent choice. They flourished together
“I feel it is so important for children to become connected with nature,” she said. “Especially with the constant distractions from the internet. Being with animals creates peace and calm. You learn so much from their behavior and how they interact with each other.” The interaction between the horse and her dog friends is nothing if not extraordinary. The camaraderie between the horse and the dogs, like the books about them, addresses animal abandonment, the ability to overcome adversity, and the value of perseverance, kindness, adoption and love, says Stacy. As a devoted animal rescuer, she encourages all to adopt animals and donate to humane nonprofits. An important line in the book My Name Is Sugar explains how the rescued family pets also rescued each other: “Charger found the friend she had been hoping for, and Sugar found the friend she had always been looking for.” The three colorful books were written by Stacy and illustrated by Anne Johnson. Dr Aiyenigba said cultural norms hampering women’s access to malaria services could be tackled by engaging all stakeholders – women groups, men’s groups, youth and traditional leaders.

“The value of the change is promoted and benefits accruing from modifying the norms widely disseminated. The use of trusted advocates can also be used to promote new norms,” she said.

She said that where feasible, use of social structures, such as dance troops, drama groups and the mass media, especially radio, in rural places, could also be utilised to communicate the message.

“Religious leaders are also proven agents of change. They can be engaged in promoting the positive behaviour that will empower women and improve their access to care,” she advised.

Aiyenigba added that the health system could also be adaptive to the culture.

“Where feasible, local women with the right qualification can be engaged to man the clinic and open in the evenings when women will be around. That way, utilisation and access are guaranteed,” she said.

She said Breakthrough ACTION-Nigeria was working in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory to increase women’s knowledge and access to malaria prevention and care.

“We support women empowerment initiatives in five states, so the women have some financial power to transport themselves or their neighbours to the health facilities. We also have funding though the United States president’s malaria initiative to educate the populace, including women during mass distribution of mosquito bed nets,” she added.

Also, Dr Ntadom said efforts by the government to tackle the impact of cultural norms included making recommended anti-malarial medicines come in age specification and colour-coded packs.

“They are made available free or at highly subsidised costs. Awareness creation and sensitisation of communities are also important,” he said.

Mrs Sanni Adeniyi of the National Malaria Elimination Programme said cultural norms were among the reasons her organisation was taking advocacy messages to state governors, religious and traditional leaders, market women’s groups and civil society organisations.

She said, “When we get everyone on board, there will be less cultural norms hampering access to malaria services. Women will benefit a lot from attending antenatal care during pregnancy and sleeping under insecticide-treated nets.

“Right now, a lot of my staff members are in the streets doing advocacy. In fact, even ministers, governors, market women and medical professionals are involved.

“The essence is to prevent an increase in malaria cases because we are working towards a malaria-free Nigeria.”

Yesterday, I went to First Bank to use the ATM
I got there and looked around and joined the long queue. A young lady came to meet me and asked how much I wanted to withdraw.

She said she over withdrew money; She was supposed to withdraw 3k but mistakenly pressed 30k. She will give me 20k cash, I will transfer it to her account.

This is what shocked me; I have been standing on the queue for approximately 5mins and I never saw this Lady around that ATM, she wasn't on the queue, she never made any withdrawal. Which ATM did she use in getting the 30k?

I told her I will wait for my turn, she left my side, I asked the man in my front, did you see this lady around? I wanted to point her but the Lady had disappeared, I didn't see her again.
