Do not take herbs if you are nursing.
Do not give herbs to a baby or child.

Do not take herbal remedies if you are taking a long-term drug (e.g., high blood pressure medications, antidepressants, and other drugs). If you are unsure, talk with a healthcare provider before taking any herbal preparation.
Do not take herbal remedies if you take drugs that have a narrow margin for safety, such as warfarin (Coumadin®), digoxin, phenytoin (Dilantin®), lithium (Lithobid®, Eskalith®) and theophylline (Theo-Dur®, Theo-24®, others.
