You vouch for the strong reliability against disease and insect pest especially in tomato 🍅

agricare products are high premium
Very premium but I don't normally recommend to our people here except I use it myself or those with better understanding.

Those ones with problems will always ascribe their farm issues to owns recomendation! So one has to be careful. I have raised a the farm without using any conventional fungicide before and the growth was 100%. Infact some of these beneficial microbes convert atmospheric nitrogen to plant available nitrogen in the soil!

For example,.someone feeds his tomato npk+urea which is 100% wrong at any stage and his plants suffer from nutrient deficiency will have issues on the farm. How does this product work for the person with that kind of farm?

Farming is now precision and that's why someone will get 300 bags from 1000 plants and another will be happy with the normal 40 bags from same plants!

Premium
With it, you don't have the need for fungicides, nematicides and pesticides. Those with bacterial wilt issues is also solved especially with tomato owners. But you have to feed well to have immunity and also have good agronomic practice like proper plant spacing, right soil pH and timely applications of nutrients at the right time.

Hello ops can 500k starup cucumber farm aside land because i already have access to a lease 1acre for 5years. Looking forward to ypur response.
If you have access to water close by, it would. You need a water pump, pipes and 1 drip tape

Mrdellychy:
Following bros. Never knew you are still in veggie production as you disposed all your seeds at give away price here couple of years.

I will be more interested in the use of beneficial fungi to fight pests. Furadan is banned and no longer common in the market, even the a.i in wormforce has been secretly replaced by Jubaili.
.
Furadan and Oxamyl are almost same thing but Oxamyl is a new class of nematicide than furadan but furadan seem more toxic to humans but both dispel whiteflies for 14 days.

The beneficial fungi is sold at agricare, Ibadan. See the link https://www.agricareplus.com/product/mebotrix/

How To Control A Whitefly Problem:
Carefully inspect new plants before transplanting. Dip foliage and root ball in soapy water to clean and kill any existing whitefly eggs, nymphs or adults.

Beauveria bassiana sprays (Mebotrix) are effective for ongoing control of whiteflies in gardens or commercial growing. They use the fungus to slow feeding/reproduction and kill the infected pests. Using biorational control sprays also helps limit environmental impacts on non-target organisms like bees and pollinators.

If necessary, knockdown sprays of contact insecticides will quickly reduce whitefly numbers. Repeat applications may be necessary as most sprays have little residual impact.

Neem Oil is a growth and feeding inhibitor commonly used by organic gardeners for general pest control.

Pyrethrins sprays are excellent for rapid reduction of large pest populations, but should not be applied to flowering plants. Eg Cyperforce/Deltaforce/Laraforce/Laraforce Gold

Horticultural Oils are an effective knockdown for use in-season and for controlling overwintering or dormant life stages. Eg include Essential oils like Oregano Oil.

Insecticide like furadan when applied to non flowering plants before the age of 2 weeks is known to control whitefly population.

Some of these numbers are crazy seriously!
In your opinion, can cu99, Saira and other similar monoecious varieties get any close to for instance 15-20 fruits per plant?
No idea for those monoecious cucumber but Dakar f1 though gynecious produced more than 14 harvest with an estimated 700 bags so far from 3500 plants but the yield is going down now.

It may be possible or close to those numbers for cu999 and co.

With parthenocarpic variety like Mydas, Stilo, Macario f1 and its likes, 40 fruits is a sure bet.

this is too early unless it's the 30 days variety...single row by 30 or 50cm?
It's 45cm but double on the bed. It's the normal variety but this is parthenocarpic variety which is self pollinating.

The guy here is using water hose to manually water 950 plants in Ogun State. Minimum target here is 200 bags. He is one of my telegram group member.i am managing his farm for using precise nutrition.

Many farmers don't see this because of wrong or poor nutrition. Infact some variety even get ready for harvest as early as 28 days!

That was 56 bags of roughly 180+ fruits minus the misshapen fruits( we bag vertically with 1/3 blue bags as extension)
From roughly 1350 plants
Caveat is this production lasted 7 weeks and was during the early may- June ending when weather variables were friendly
About the telegram, I will have to create the account as I am a WhatsApp person
Average of 7.5 fruits per plant!

3500 9 weeks old Dakar f1 harvested 65 bags yesterday alone but the problem he has is the trellis keep cutting because of the weight of the plant. About half of them are on the floor.

Nope Saira F1 is monoecious and even the ews rep at the greenhouse farm by the airport have not gotten half that record
What's the average production? If you are ready with your fertilizers, let's run one and I bet you you might beat the greenhouse production. The trick is the nutrition and standard processes for high cucumber production.
I have a group on telegram if you want to learn crop nutrition

Saira F1 by ews, Nandini is not broadly accepted but can be managed when there is scarcity...Oliveira bold is also mixed but the market has very strong preference to Saira as it doesn't ripen many days after harvest
Saira should do well just like Dakar f1 cucumber as there are gynecious . A 3500 Dakar f1 planted September 2024 is producing 45 bags averagely per week to date

I won't lie, I still have a long way to go with plant feeding, even though I apply the core nutritional components( N, P, K, Mg, Ca, S) but I haven't structured it properly...just applying based on available funds and how the spirit leads instead of cutting my farm according to resources available...about cucumbers, i wish breeders gave attention to the light green ones for indoor production or something around mydas quality
Lol for as the spirit leads!
What variety is accepted there?

Hello boss, I have spent time trying to research on the varieties you mentioned, and I must say I am impressed by Zara and ansal...kilele has no level of tolerance to bacterial wilt and my zone has that issue... looking forward to getting Zara as it seems it's seeds are easily available compared to ansal... I would definitely be reaching out to you very soon on a tomato friendly thread so as not to derial this one
Who says Kilele is not tolerant to bw? They are tolerant. The problem most farmers have is that they don't do things right.
Some don't use Nematicide, others dont feed their crops well. Some use Npk+urea! You go laugh for combination of formulas if you check many farms.
Get any of them as they are capable of even 10kg per plant.

There is someone I am running his farm for in Ogun with 800 stands of multistar/sarig bought for N340,000 for 1000 seeds. Planting was done in October.
He is generating close to 3.4m monthly from that 800 plants! He is averagely 500kg harvest weekly and sold at mile 12 at N1,700 per kg.
How is this possible, good nutrition and management and applying the right knowledge. He will still harvest for another 3 months + as its under covered protection.

It's 27,000-30,000 in Abuja

Akwa Ibom... normally we do cobra F1 and I would like to try out something else that's not EWS platinum for the dry season targeting early April ripening and heat stress/sunscald is a major worry
Also I haven't gotten the seeds yet
Ansal, Kilele, Zara are your best options. They tick all the resistance and withstand almost all diseases and are larger fruits tomatoes!
I can guide when you get the seeds to maximize production.

Sometimes you know the best variety but your market is selective and hence, you stick to what works to avoid marketing challenges....
Dark green cucumber doesn't sell in some states
Same with the other crops, highly selective and delicate markets affect what you decide to grow even if it doesn't give the highest yield
I am going to try Jarrah for the dry seasons...any tips or inputs would be greatly appreciated sir as this is a giant leap for me
There are better alternatives to jarrah if you have not bought the seed. Where is your location?
