Rahsholah: only if you can source well decomposed poultry manure and apply, also try and get agrovert phosphorus and spray 100g per knapsack twice a week, and lastly potassium nitrate at 150g per knapsack every five days for 2weeks at first then 300g per knapsack weekly. Those figures are extremely high |

Okoroemekah: The local nsukka variety is the hot pepper that has the highest tolerance against leaf curl virus in all the peppers we have tried .we planted 1000 nsukka pepper on same land that another hybrid pepper variety was infected 100% last year we didn't harvest a single bag from 2500 crops but the 1000 nsukka pepper with less than 5% infection rate has yield 40 bags from June till now at #60k per bag that is more than #2m from 2 plots of land.if you like plant anything if it is not that nsukka variety I am not interested.there is a reason nsukka farmers plant it year after year.does it mean they don't have money for super habanero?NO.they plant it for their ability to survive in the most hostile and disease pressure areas That's true because most of this hybrids have a lot of issues with leaf curl but have very high productivity if you can take care of them. |

somtovictor111: Super habanero but it's very costly @116k for 1000 seeds It is not resistant but tolerant. All habanero are susceptible to leaf curl. The only difference between them is the tolerance level. |

How true is that Any one can contribute pls If your fruits have the adequate calcium, it will stay that long. If the plants are given about 10g per plant per month, it's possible. |

Jaywrld: Also I want to ask if it's profitable to farm tomato in dry season (November to February)or it will better to farm something else im thinking of onions The best crop to grow in Nigeria all year is the habanero aromatic pepper that's sold in kg. Nothing beats them in weekly revenue. Instead of onions, you grow garlic since it's same management but garlic is more expensive for the seedlings. |

Super habanero, mawenzili can tolerate mosaic to a level but OPV varieties like antillais from technisem doesn't have issues with mosaic and can produce for more than a year . |

Jaywrld: I have the same thought too Grafting is not really ideal. If you search the internet the best way to avoid BW is planting resistant varieties I haven't tried grafting though but I don't think it would be worth it 99% success rate that's questionable If varieties like Rambo f1 can yield 2kg per plant then it's okay with the strong resistance to bacterial wilt it possesses There are other varieties with high yield and bw resistance like Ansal f1. You can try that variety too. |

Rahsholah: What of kimono F1? like how many fruits can one stand have? Depends on the management of the crop. Almost all parthenocarpic variety are capable of over 25 fruits per plant if managed well. Management includes timely staking of nets, good nutrition, timely sprays and avoiding weeds in the farm. |

So I can buy some fruits for seeds extraction. Thanks boss Not advisable. You can try other affordable variety like the piquante red f1 from east west seed or even the Caribbean hot red pepper. |
