When you Mention Dr. Segun Akinolu in a
gathering, people might be wondering who
are you talking about but the moment you
mention Beautiful Nubia, then be rest assure
eight out of ten people will be able to relate
to it.
Dressed a an adire shirt with a trouser and a
sandal to match with some hand beads,
beard, dreadlock almost turning to brown,
he walked quietly into the 500 seater
Olusegun Obasanjo Auditorium for the last
day of the 2016 Prolific Mind Initiative's
Nigeria Without Oil Summit. Armed with a
Eight man band. It took the band about 30
minutes to set the stage, within the 30
minutes alot of his fans present almost 200
plus were taking turn to snap with him. The
SUG President and his exo came around to
greet and exhange contact.
At about 5:30pm, he mounted the stage,
starting with his not too known songs to
the known and finally to a song on his last
released album. The audience were all
singing the song along with him. Some had
to stand up and dance to the tune.
In between the performance, Beautiful
Nubia took a swipe at our leaders for the
way they handled the country according to
him most of our corrupt leader were not
brought up well. He went memory down
lane during his days at the University of
Ibadan, according to him, his parent alway
give him a meagre sum as pocket money
which they expect him to last for about six
weeks and the money only last two week,
according he had to horned his creativity
instinct by writing poem, drawing, singing
to raise money to sustain himself. He urgd
the youth present to be creative. According
to the Diploma holder from Nigeria Institute
of Journalism, Aliko Dangote Reputation has
the richest man in Nigeria is nothing to
write home about if Nigerians are still
languishing in abject poverty. Some of the
song he performed were Jagbajogbolu,
Seven Days and others.
While Speaking to Arbico Parrot
Correspondent(Emma Tallest and MID). He
thanked the organiser for inviting him to
perform and promised to come whenever
they call him. |

Arbico Parrot
10 Arbicans Who Rock Last Semester
#Emma_Tallest
#Arbico_Parrot
Just like the Abiku, the Rain semester of
2015/2016 academic session has come and
gone, the semester however go down in
history as the most social in the 52 years
history of the college. Shows, concerts,
annual days, award night, Spelling bee, Who
want to be a millionaire etc were held in the
17 weeks semester, in this compilation
Emmanuel Daraloye, a correspondent with
Arbico Parrot will be giving you the list of 10
people who made the semester lively and
fun, they are in a particular order.
10. MC Finess: The self proclaimed Ketu born
comedian cum MC's show started the
semester and it was sold out, he was the
first after MC Winrin Winrin to organise a
show, the show success is still on the lips
on Arbicans till tomorrow. MC is a versatile
and talented comedian, he has been holding
it down for the past four years and this
semester was a plus for him. Although alot
of his fans were not well pleased with his
performance toward the end of the
semester(Some said his Jokes werey Dry
and Archaic), Finess still had a wonderful
semester to linger for long.
9. Mhiz Jane: You still remember the Mhiz
Jane show, even though alot of Arbicans
failed to show up for the show even when
the gate was open for free, Mhiz Jane
achieved something with that show,i call it
publicity, alot of people got to know, i can
still re collect alot of people coming to me to
ask who Mhiz Jane was and to make matter
worse, she caued a kind of beef when she
stated she was better than Mara D, to cap it
all Zinwestta gave her a big PR when he
called her out on his social media account.
She got more famous even if for the wrong
reason. What you cant however take away
from Mhiz Jane is the fact that she really
rocked this semester, may be it for the right
or wrong reason, i dont know, let the
Arbicans decide.
8. Tee Dej: The team Zinwestta boy really
rocked this semester, no be lie, ever since
he released his hot single titled Takoto
toward the end of 2015, the Ile-Ife Born
singer has not been resting on his oars and
to add more butter to his bread, Pitar Pypar
featured him on a song titled Iwa, he slayed
the beat.
7. Olayinka Ojo: YK has he is foldly called by
his admirer, he is the founder of Olayinka
Ojo Photography studion, virtually if not all
Arbicans have done one or two thing in his
studio. He is also the brain behind the
Purpose driven poet (PDP). He is a man of
many parts.
6. Solid B: The Ex Team Zinwestta Member
has been breaking ground ever since he
won the 2015 Diamond Bank Organised
Cyber in the College, he joined Team
Zinwestta and that really payed off for him
as he was able to perform in A list shows on
the campus and trust Solid, he never
dissapointed.
Any Dissagrement? You also can drop your
10 people.

Education / College Management, Pls, Wake Up by emmatallest: 10:35pm On Oct 02, 2016 |

#College Management: Pls, Wake Up
#Emma_Tallest
#Arbico_Parrot
For the very first time in recent times, i will
be keeping my message short and simple.
By my calculation, the college should be on
semester break by now. The hostel should
be free from Hallites, Squatters and the rats
(Lolz), even Ipaye and OBJ Chairs will be dirty
by now, not because the cleaners are not
doing their job but because the hall are not
in use.
With this semester break, this is the time for
the College management to do massive
renovation of the hostels and Lecture
theatre. I will pick one from each. The first is
Babatunde Ipaye lecture theatre, alot of the
chairs need to be replaced, who has ever
passed through the main entrance,
whenever i pass through the place, am
always ashamed, for the Largest Lecture
theatre of the college to be in that
deplorable manner is a shame.
Few days before the break, i was at Prof
Wande Abimbola Hall and i saw some hallite
fetching water taking it to the upper floor, i
was shocked, even without carrying water, i
found it difficult walking to the upper floor
and when you carry water along, whats
that? When i enquire, i learnt the tap in the
upper floor are not running, another hallites
told me ''porter no pump water for them'', i
kept wondering , so na this hardship una
dey pay 10K for?
Lecture theatres which need renovation
should be looked into, almost all the LT need
renovation, like wise hostel, some of the Hall
Common room is nothing to write home
about, even some of the toilet are in bad
shape.
Once Again, ACE Ondo Management, Make
Una Wake Up
