Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi has outlined the differences between Unai Emery’s style of football and what was obtainable under former manager, Arsene Wenger.

Emery is renowned for a high-energy, pressing style of football.

Iwobi started his first game of the season against Chelsea on Saturday and rewarded his manager with an impressive display.

The Nigerian scored his third Premier League goal since January in the match.

“It’s exciting times to be fair,” Iwobi told Arsenal Player.

“Everybody’s enjoying and buying into the new ideas.

“For me personally, I’m enjoying the new sessions, the new training methods and the new ideas, so I’m enjoying my time with him.

“He demands a lot. He’s a lot more intense, a lot of high pressing and keeping the ball so that it benefits us if we have the ball.

“It’s good for us, especially the attackers who like to have the ball a lot.

“It’s making me feel a bit sharper, I’m doing things with a bit more intensity. It’s not just for me, though, I feel like I’m helping the team a lot more. It’s benefitting me a lot more.

“Whenever something in the system changes, you have to prove yourself again.

“But wherever you go, you have to prove that you’re better than whoever else is on the team.

“At a team like Arsenal, that’s always going to be hard so I always have to be on it in training and matches.

“I’ve got to be different. It’s going to be hard because we’ve got so many attackers and so many world-class players, so I’ve just got to prove that I’m on that level or as good as them so that I can be ahead of them, which is my aim.”

The Presidency, yesterday, explained why there is pressure from within and outside the country on President Muhammadu Buhari to seek a second term in office.

According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, relevant stakeholders recognized President Buhari as possessing the capacity to stabilize the country.

Shehu also informed journalists in Abuja that the President would contest and win next year’s election by a wider margin.

He said: “President Buhari will run in 2019 and he will win. The pressure is even coming from outside the country for him to run because their belief is that there is the need for Buhari’s firm hands to stabilize the country.”

He stated that irrespective of the high level of hatred and fake news being circulated on the social media, what will be in 2019 will be, and “what will happen is that President Muhammadu Buhari would win with a wider margin of ballots than he polled in 2015.”

He said facts on the ground reveal that President Buhari had recorded monumental achievements in the past three years, particularly in infrastructure, security and fight against corruption, such that greater percentage of Nigerians want him back in office for a second term.

The Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command has arrested a 43-year old landlord, Taoreed Adegbite, and father of four, for leading a gang of armed robbers to rob his neighbor, Mr. Wale Okeyingbo of his vehicle at Oke-Odo Community, Soyoye, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Taoreed was arrested along with his accomplice, Taiwo Raheem, on Wednesday, while trying to elope with the vehicle. According to Okeyingbo, the victim, Taoreed, was his close neighbor and friend, who taught him how to drive the same vehicle three years ago.

“It was about past 3:00 am when I heard a gunshot from my neighbor’s house and I started praying that they should not come to my house. Before I knew it, they were already at my door trying to break in.

When they could not come in, they demanded my car key; so I threw it at them from the window. Then they kept asking for money and I told them I don’t have money and that they should please go.

When they left my place, I picked my phone to call my neighbors, so they helped me to call Lafenwa Divisional Police Station.

The police then went after them and the vehicle was recovered from them at Oke-Ata and that was where I discovered that the man who led the gang was my neighbor who taught me how to drive with the same car he stole,” he said.

For the past some time, he was suspecting Nasreen of having an affair, so on Monday night, he called her to Oval Maidan, said the police.

The two sat there for some time, and later on when they had an argument, Salman stabbed her several times on her stomach and back, and fled the scene.

“After killing her, he went home in Byculla but he could not sleep. He then called Umar and asked him if Nasreen had returned home.

When Umar said no, Salman went to Mumbra and accompanied Umar to Mumbra police station where they wanted to lodge a missing person complaint, but they were directed to the Colaba police station,” said an official from Azad Maidan police station.

When they went to Colaba police station, they were asked to go to Azad Maidan police station as the area where Nasreen worked falls in their jurisdiction. Umar and Salman were walking towards Azad Maidan when they saw a crowd near Oval Maidan, police said.

“We came to know about the body around 6 am on Tuesday, and around 7 am Umar and Salman were walking near Oval Maidan. Umar immediately identified his daughter and claimed the body in GT Hospital where a post-mortem was conducted,”said a police official.

“Later Umar told us that he suspected Salman’s hand in the murder. We examined Salman and found blood on his legs. On questioning, Salman admitted his crime.

He told us that he stabbed Nasreen with a knife as he suspected her of having an affair. He said he spent a lot of money on her,”said an official from Azad Maidan police station.

DCP Abhishek Trimukhe of Zone I confirmed that Salman has been arrested. He will be soon produced in court, Trimukhe said.

A 45-year-old man, Julius Ochim, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly impregnating his own daughter, who eventually gave birth to a baby girl.

The Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said: ”The man was arrested following a complaint by his daughter who reported at Shagamu Police Division that her father has been having carnal knowledge of her since she was 9, after the death of her mother in 2009.”

Oyeyemi added that, consequently, the lady reportedly got pregnant for the suspect and gave birth to a baby girl who is now three years old. On why she did not report after many years, the lady reportedly told the police that her father ”used to threaten her with the cultural implication of refusing him to sleep with her.”

He said on interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but blamed it all on the devil’s handiwork. He reportedly confessed that he had been sleeping with the young woman since the demise of his wife.

The police spokesman added that the suspect disclosed that he started having ‘problems’ with the victim when she started going out with ”another person whom she said she want to get married to”.

”He confessed that he was trying to prevent the girl from getting married so as to continue having his way with her.”

The Islamic State terror group (ISIS) has repropaganda images featuring Zuckerberg in an orange jumpsuit and beheaded including the message “Go to hell Mark”. The group also claimed to have hacked Facebook.

The poster includes the message “go to hell Mark”, and is part of a campaign dubbed #OpTheWorld. Sixgill, an online cybersecurity firm, revealed the threats to the Daily Star as ISIS appears to ramp up their hacking operations.

A number of other websites have been targeted some successfully according to Sixgill. The so-called United Cyber Caliphate (UCC) recently came together as several pro-ISIS hacking groups.

And their activities increased since May, reports from Sixgill say, with East Asian government websites forced offline by their efforts.

The hacker’s latest propaganda calls for other groups to target Facebook. In one particular grotesque image Zuckerberg appears beheaded, with a red “hacked” message.

The group has also shared screenshots which claim to be of hacked Facebook pages. It’s been months since Nigerian superstar singer, Davido declared himself ‘officially out’ from the singles club as he introduced his Girlfriend (Chioma) to the world.

The buzz was massive, the vibe was positive and although it was a surreal moment for some Davido female fans who’d wished they were his ‘Chioma’, nothing could possibly stop OBO from shutting off all other advances from any other girl as he declared Chioma would be the lady he’d spend the rest of his life with.

Then came the celebrity status for ‘Chef Chioma’ which was accompanied with brand endorsements, instagram verification and getting her own cooking show, (we don’t even wanna talk about the shopping trips or gift right now lol).

While one would expect that the buzz over the beautiful couple had reduced, it seems such expectation is a very false one as a graphic designer decides to flex his creativity with the photo of Davido and Chioma which has now gone viral all over social media.
