I got my profile to 100% by taking tests on US /UK English test, which is different from my niche(Business /virtual assistant). Could that be the reason why my profile was denied approval, even when my profile is 100%?

No I don't think so. You are in order to have taken US/UK English test. Most client would like to know your level of English, it is quite different from what I mean by saying you should take test that are related to your area of specialization. Although, I think it is important for writers, editors, proofreader... as you would expect.

On the issue of approval of profile there are alot of reasons. Upwork is just taking measures to secure the marketplace. If you are affected be patience and play along with them. Make sure you do not go against their rules. For more info on this watch the video on avoiding upwork suspension on you tube (just copy and paste "avoiding upwork suspension" on the youtube searchbar you will get the video) .You can also google to find out more

Hello,

To boost your profile to 100% try taking a test or add as many portfolio as possible. with respect to portfolio you don't necessarily need to have a job done on Upwork. It could be project from your offline clients. If you don't have this try and do something ( eg if you are a designer try and design something attractive) then upload it. In this case you are the client and freelancer - there is nothing bad in it .

If you are taking a test, let it be those related to your area of specialization.

As for certication you can upload it later when you have one. I don't have a certication on my upwork but I have complete 100% profile.

However, I have an issue that require your assistance. I did a job for a client and have forwarded it but I have not been paid. I made a mistake. I didn't make use of the time tracker and so there was no evidence that I worked. I don't know if this guy will ever pay me (I even incurred expenses in doing the job)... It's been two weeks since finished the job.
Your advice will be most appreciated.

pls guys I need your help. How does an hourly work operate. I have a client I have completed his job but is yet to pay me. Do I have to wait till the end of the month. The contract term is 25hours/wk. Pls enlighten me in this areas;

1. When does an hourly contract end? Is it when the job is completed or does it mean I will continue to work until the contract is terminated.

2. When does the client pay? is it after each job he assigns me or at the end of the month?

3. How does upwork tracking device operate?

My greetings to all in the house, due honour goes to victor101, tonyx4xx44 and other freelancer gurus. Thanks so much for the direction so far. Please am having issues with opening a paypal account which i want to use for my upwork account. I tried to link a firstbank naira mastercard with my paypal account but i was shown that the card cannot be used. Please if anyone has any experience with linking a paypal account with mastercard pls share i will be most grateful. My challenges are;

1.Which mastercard ( naira mastercard, dollar mastercard etc) can i use to link my paypa a/c?
2. Where do i locate the csc (3 digit) on the mastercard?
3. After opening a paypal account can i withdraw the money in the paypal a/c with a payoneer mastercard (since Nigerians can't make withdrawal from paypal).
4. Otherwise which is the best withdraw method, besides the one upwork has recommended for Nigerian freelancers which according what i have read is very uncomfortable (i.e $30 on any transter to local bank excluding the $20 charge from the local bank).

Pls guys a very clear direction will be most appreciated.

I meant to ask, in terms of cost of withdrawal, which is better, payooneer or domiciliary account (thru skrill)? That is considering the cost of withdrawal is Domiciliary account better that payoneer account. Your wise counsel will be most appreciated.
