Religion / Some Facts You Need To Know About Bishop Oyedepo And Faith Oyedepo by EMMAXBLESS(m): 11:44pm On Jul 28, 2014 |
Sometimes when we report the stories of pastors that are misbehaving, it is because these things are strange to us and they are not suppose to be the norm. A pastor is suppose to be above board, a person who can say no to any strange woman, even if she was sent to seduce him by marine spirit. Read the story of Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife below and learn from it. 20 Facts About Bishop David And Faith Oyedepo’s Marriage That You Should Know: 1. She met him at a Motor Park… 2. She was a university student – GREAT IFE while he was only a Polytechnic student in Kwarapoly (Remember the discrimination) – she could have snubbed him – but she responded. 3. His friends complained that he was carrying Christianity too zealously as if he was the only Christian – she became zealous too. 4. He took her to church in 1976 and made her sign an agreement (SAILING UNDER SEALED ORDERS) to marry and follow him whether he becomes blind, lame or handicapped… she signed. 5. Just before he married her, he told her God had sent him to LIBERATE THE WORLD (while he was still hopping between jobs) and went on to resign his job; his elder brother lambasted him, she stuck to him. 6. He told her God had shown him the key to prosperity – she believed. 7. He told her they would build a 50,000 capacity tent and preach the gospel from private jets-she believed her dreamer lover. 8. He was too ‘buoyant’ to afford a hotel room on his wedding eve, he slept in his rickety Volkswagen Beetle – she married him. 9. During a moment of insane faith, he ordered a mad man to be put in his car alone with her while she was pregnant; she remained. 10. She saw she was dripping blood while pregnant and explained to him that she had a miscarriage, he shouted “It CANNOT Happen, Can I have my food please” – she served him food. 11. She just had their first baby and there was no food or money at home. He refused to borrow or ask or take church money and they were drinking/eating “CERELAC Baby food’ for 3 days – she ate with him. 12. She came to church one day and saw him so excited with few members while waiting for service to start; he explained to her that service was actually over – she laughed. 13. People kept praying for her and her husband as they seemed to be crazy and needed deliverance-she kept faith. 14. He announced a new Bible school and she knew there was no facility; she asked him and he replied “Is it your school”? She kept quiet. IT DOESN’T END THERE! 15. She didn’t know they were going to be flying in customized jets round the world. 16. She didn’t know he will pastor and she, co-pastor the largest church auditorium in the world. 17. She didn’t know he will be a father to millions all over the world. 18. She didn’t know he will be hosted by Presidents and Heads of States of nations. 19. She didn’t know he will be a Chancellor and Pioneer of one of the best Private-owned Universities in the world…..and six others. 20. She woke up one day on her sick bed in the USA and unexpectedly saw her hubby who had flown in quietly from Nigeria and had refused to wake her up….. he was kneeling on the floor by her legs and crying ‘Lord, heal her and prove that you sent me”- She got healed miraculously… …TWICE!. She didn’t know. #All she saw was a Man with A BIG GOD inside him. Her name is “FAITH”! From the source: It is sad to see that many ladies of these days can’t stand by a man with purpose and vision like this today. Most ladies want a man that has ‘arrived’ but forget that most men that walk with God need to grow in Him even as they (The ladies) grow with him (The husband). Some of our mothers married our fathers when they had nothing to their names and together they grew to where they got to. Sadly, some of those parents will not accept a spouse that doesn’t have much to his or her name when their child wants to be joined with one. Who upturned our values? Who said you need to ‘arrive’ before taking a helping hand and obtaining blessings from God? Hey, marriage is not an achievement like one of ur degrees or acquisition like a car or landed property. Some marriages bring the completeness a man or woman needs. Let’s get our priorities right. Thanks mama Oyedepo for not forming #Tushgirl now we all see the #TushQueen you have become to that king – Bishop David Oyedepo. |
Religion / Members Donates 200 Prado Jeep To Bishop Oyedepo,worth #2.1 Billion by EMMAXBLESS(m): 11:36pm On Jul 28, 2014 |
Bishop David Oyedepo is a man of influence and affluence among his congregation as the amiable clergy requested for a gift of 200 Prado jeeps from his numerous worshipers in January 2014 and 200 donors gladly fulfilled their pledges few days back. The 59 year old clergy, who will turn 60 on September 27, 2014, told his ardent followers that he needed 200 new Prado jeeps for ministerial purpose. We gathered that the exact reasons were undisclosed but we reliably gathered it might not be unconnected to the fact that it’s for use in some of their branches manned by his ordained pastors scattered across the country. It was revealed that a brand new Prado jeep goes for about N10.6 million. Thus, the estimated cost of 200 Prado jeeps comes to N2.1 billion. Our source revealed to us that it was an individual thing among the wealthy members, who voluntarily donated the jeeps. Therefore, the place of purchase cannot be easily determined nor the identity of the donors revealed. But we gathered the jeeps are tucked away inside the Cannanland at Ota, Ogun State. It would be recalled that in January 2013, during Winners Chapel cross over service on Tuesday January 1, 2013, in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun state, worshipers made donations of over 700 exotic cars to the church. People who felt they had been richly blessed in 2012 came to the cross over service with different donations. Most significant was the number of exotic brand new cars and SUVs that flooded Canaanland. The people who donated them dropped the keys and documents of the cars during offering. The church auctioned the cars at very cheap prizes to its members. Some cars were sold for as low as N300,000. Bishop David Oyedepo was born in September 27, 1954. Although he hails from Omu Aran in Kwara State, he was born in Osogbo, Osun State. He is from a religiously mixed family. Bishop Oyedepo’s father name is Ibrahim, he was a Muslim healer and his mother, Dorcas was a member of the Eternal Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, a branch of the Aladura church. He was brought up by his grandmother in Osogbo community, who nurtured and taught him Christian ethics with the early morning prayers which she attended with him every day. She also taught him how to believe in his destiny. Bishop gave his life to Christ in late 1969 through the help of his teacher who took special interest in him during his high school years. He studied Architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic and worked briefly with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin before resigning to go fully into the ministry/ missionary work. Oyedepo also got his Ph.D in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, United States of America. Bishop Oyedepo got a full call from God with the aid of an 18 hour long vision in May 1981 to save the world from all forms of oppression of the devil by preaching the word of the Lord . This is the clear vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church Worldwide first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries in 1981, before it was changed. Two years after, on September 17, 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ordained him and his wife, Florence Abiola Akano (now Faith Abiola Oyedepo) as pastors and also officially commissioned the newly started church of Oyedepo. Five years after, David Oyedepo was ordained a bishop. Living Faith Church well known as Winners Chapel took-off in Kaduna, but moved to Lagos in September 1989, to set up a new branch, after receiving revelation from God to reach out and connect to the population in Lagos and the world as well. This church in Lagos expanded to earn the International headquarters of Living Faith Church in Nigeria, with a constantly increasing flow of crowds flooding over to adjacent roads, and on decks of uncompleted structures nearby, making people to stand for hours to listen to his wonderful teachings. This led to the building of the renowned Faith Tabernacle, as directed by God. The non -stop construction of Faith Tabernacle was breath-taking, on account of the size of the building. Construction of this multi-billion naira project was completed within 12 months which experts claimed could only have been a miracle, because such a project should normally take a minimum of three years to achieve. Reports also claimed that the building was built debt free. This 50,000-seat edifice was dedicated on September 18, 1999, under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo |

Sports / Ronaldo Win The Goal 5so Award Also Said Football Is His Blood by EMMAXBLESS(m): 3:04pm On Jul 28, 2014 |
WORLD EXCLUSIVE: The Real Madrid star is honoured to top Goal's list for the third time, but says team glory is what really motivates him and he wants more silverware in 2014-15 By Alberto Pinero & Ben Hayward For the second time in three years and third time overall, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed the Goal 50 award for the finest footballer over a single season. The prestigious prize, chosen by Goal's 600 editors, is the final accolade in a crowning campaign that will live long in the memory. When Ronaldo inaugurated his own personal museum in Madeira last December, some mocked the Portuguese for the scarce amount of silverware he had claimed in his first four seasons at Real Madrid, while others pointed to the long list of titles won by Lionel Messi. As has been the case so often in his career, however, Ronaldo silenced the critics. Goal was present as he cut the tape to unveil his collection in Funchal, presenting him with an updated version of the 2012 trophy which is currently on display. Now he has another one to sit alongside it. "It’s a very big honour for me to have been chosen as the best player," Ronaldo told Goal after his latest triumph. "I’m sincerely grateful for this award. I also want to thank the fans for their support and for their passion for the game, which is what makes this sport so fascinating throughout the world." The year began with his second Ballon d'Or. He added a second Pichichi prize to his collection by topping the goal charts in La Liga and another Golden Shoe for Europe's leading scorer after he netted 31 times in the Primera Division to tie with former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. He has now become only the second player - alongside Messi - to win the Goal 50 award for a third time. "Over and above individual prizes, I have always maintained that it’s the teams, your team-mates and the fans that make each of us better as footballers," Ronaldo added. "Therefore, I’m convinced that I wouldn’t have been able to win this award without the constant support from all the people at Real Madrid." Without his goals, however, Madrid almost certainly would not have enjoyed such spectacular success in 2013-14. Even though Cristiano missed the final of the Copa del Rey as Real beat Barcelona, he had hit three goals en route to the Mestalla showpiece, while his 17 strikes in the Champions League represents a new record, surpassing the mark of 14 in a single edition of the continental competition set by Jose Altafini in 1962-63 and Messi in 2011-12. Remarkably, those 17 goals came in just 11 games as Ronaldo became the first player to score in eight consecutive Champions League matches. He also netted in every round of the knockout phase, including two in the 4-0 win at Bayern Munich in the semi-finals and a penalty in the 4-1 extra-time victory against Atletico that sealed the trophy in Lisbon. "Was there room in his museum for La Decima?" a Spanish journalist had asked Ronaldo in December. "There's always room for La Decima," he replied. Winner | Ronaldo receives the Goal 50 trophy from Editorial Director Graham Shaw in Los Angeles In 2013-14, Ronaldo fired Portugal past Sweden in their World Cup play-off with all four of his side's goals in the two-legged tie to seal a place at Brazil 2014. He also became the nation's all-time top goalscorer by surpassing former team-mate Pauleta (47 international goals) and reached 50 strikes for his country at the World Cup, where he was some way short of full fitness and ultimately unable to help his team avoid an early exit from the competition - the only low point in what is his most memorable year to date. Now, he's back in full training with Madrid and after collecting the Goal 50 trophy from Editorial Director Graham Shaw at the club's summer base in Los Angeles, he's raring to go again. The club will compete for six titles in 2014-15 and Ronaldo wants them all. "My aims for the coming season are the same as always: to fight from the start of every training session to the last minute of every match," |

OPEN HEAVENS Tuesday July 22 TOTAL COMPLIANCE REQUIRED Memorise: Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10 Read: Malachi 3:8-10 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : DEUTERONOMY 29:1-31:13 and JOB 8:20-9:12 Message When we teach about tithes and first fruits, some people think that it is the pastor’s way of making money but they are making a great mistake. When you put God first, He will make sure that your blessings are irreversible. But if you decide to give Him second place in your life, you may not be happy to see what follows. Sometime ago, one young man came to me and said, “Daddy, God has answered your prayer”. I replied “Amen. What exactly happened?” He said one prominent chief called him and asked him to sell his house. The property had thirteen flats: twelve regular flats and a penthouse on top. The chief told him how much he wanted to be paid from the proceeds of the sale, saying he did not care about how much the man would sell the property for. By the time the brother calculated the profit he would make from the transaction, he screamed in excitement. “Daddy, from this deal alone, I am settled for life”. “Really, congratulations ! Did you say thirteen flats?” “Yes”, he replied. “Good. That means you will give one of the flats to the church as tithe since the tithe of thirteen is 1.3”. “But, Daddy”, he protested, “This is only the first breakthrough. Let God wait until I get more”. A week later,he got a buyer who was ready to pay an amount far more than the amount the owner wanted to sell the property. So the brother went back to the chief and said: “Sir, I am ready to pay now for the property. Where do I pay the money to?” “What are you talking about?”, the man asked in surprise. “Sir, I mean the house you asked me to sell for you. I have gotten a buyer; Just tell me where you want me to pay the money into” he replied. Looking surprised, the chief said, “Whatever charm you used on me has been destroyed. Who told you I want to sell my house?” That was how he lost out completely. When we talk about tithe, some people think ten percent is too much for God. If you are one of such people, wait until you compare ninety percent of something with hundred percent of nothing. Decisions that are taken daily sometimes await your obedience or otherwise to know on which side to fall –in your favour or out of favour. Comply fully with God’s requirements in order to see the better side of life. Key Point: Tithing is an obligation for every believer in Christ. It is not optional |
