This is not logical enough. All three accounts recorded Mary Magdalene as present. I saying "James and Peter went to school" does not prove non sequitur to "James went to school". James is a primal person in both narratives. They do not betray each other.

Buh what I can tell you is Gods evolve as yhu humans evolve, Gods generally lives in the hearts of their subjects, when a human evolves, its mostly likely the Gods that evolve first.

there was an incident my uncle was narrating, on how a certain deity , rejected his priest saying he wanted one of his cousins overseas, when the guy in question was contacted and told he has been chosen, cause his a very educated man, a professor, claiming old things have past away ,and how his a Christian. the deity dragged him down to Nigeria, ruined him and stuff, when the uncle serving the deity died,the deity appeared to his chosen in a dream and told him clearly why he chose him, simple the guy was educated, the deity also let him know that all the goodluck events of his life, it was the deity's doing,the scholarship he got etc.long story short deity's very well evolve.

modernism covers many things, there a very educated people living the cities serving the old gods, amadioha and the rest, they don't just out it, cause attacks and disturbance.

Before the white man brought these new Gods/GOd that we/they serve now. Our fore fathers had their own gods(obatala sango amadioha etc) that does things for them. It made their years fruitfull, it made dem bear sons and daughters, it made their harvest bountifulE.t.c

But now that we have these new gods (yaweh and allah) ,the old gods are becoming obselete . In fact anybody who serves them now a days is regarded to as being "fetish" . And are usually casted out as evil spirits.

Can we say that gods also evolves?(becomes a newer god) cos i just dont get it
Cos this old gods were once the reigning gods

Can we then say yaweh and allah will soon be replaced by newer gods?

Let me educate you a bit cause your mind is shallow and you think you know stuff but don't know nothing.

Fact is that there are seeming contradictions and striking similarities in biblical texts. That is nothing new and it has perplexed biblical scholars for ages.

The problem is how does​ an infinite GOD converse with men's whose minds are finite and subject to the limitations of sensory perceptions.

There is bound to be inaccuracies in compehending such big ideas. Men are not infallible. Wether prophet priest or king.

There is a concept called PROGRESIVE REVELATION where as man's mind evolved over the years, he was able to comprehend God more. Just as a baby grows from infancy,childhood, adolescence, adulthood and maturity.

God does not condemn polygamy. It's not his ideal state but it is not a sin. What is condemned is adultery and fornication.

Now let me tell you exactly what Jesus said about polygamy. '' Moses permitted you to marry more than one wife because of the hardness of your hearts but it was not so in the beginning"

What this means is that God's original plan was one man one wife as in the case of Adam and Eve however with the fall of man, polygamy came to be. Can you blame the men who needed extra hands to work on their farms, fight wars and other practical advantages that a large family possessed in those times.

God himself when reprimanding David over Bathsheba made it clear that his anger was over his sleeping with another man's wife, after all it was HIM who made him inherit all of Saul's wives and even gave him many others.

When you are analysing stuff, you MUST be objective and balanced and not load your words with personal bias.

I am an extremely busy person and do not sit on nairaland all day to type. But the way you put your points accross is lame.

I am not boasting but when I was studying religion between 2000 and 2005 in OAU we were taught to look at things from all angles and be objective and was one of the very best.

Very very very few pastors can make sense to me. Except you have undergone acedemic training in the study of Religion.

If you are going to be an atheist at least be a smart one and be original and think for yourself.

There is no single verse in the New testament that says polygamy is a sin. What is condemned is fornication and adultery.

I am able to type all these because today falls on a weekend. I don't have time for you .

If I was a pastor today, while I will not encourage my congregation to marry more than one wife, I will not condemn the man who does so if he performs all the required ceremony. But I will teach my people both the spiritual and physical danger in fornication and adultery.

In as much as i know the bible contains contradictions, being truthful and open-minded, i wouldn't count this as one of such cases. The only thing we can question is its lack of precision being a message that was inspired and relayed by a supposed perfect god

There is nothing contradictory in the passages that you quoted.

Contradictory means opposite.

What you have there is additional information.

Mary Magdalene, The other Mary and Salome. The presence of one does not negate the precense of the others.

That it was reported that Mary Magdalene was there in John does not mean the other two women were not there concurrently.
