Personally, I believe that if Bishop Benson Idahosa had allowed or put in place an arrangement that allows for succession in the once big Pentecostal movement; Church of God Mission International, I believe the Church would have been bigger than he was before Bishop Margaret and Feb took over. The Redeemed Christian Church of God appears to have conquered this challenge.

Pentecostalism must begin to deliberately and intentionally understand that the church is called the BODY OF CHRIST for a reason. It belongs to God and not necessarily them. Let there be a governance structure that creates a system of succession in place either through a conclave as it is done in the Catholic Church or an arrangement where they can subject the next successor to a true pentecostal upper room meeting where the clove of fire will decend on the next successor. There is no way we can stop believers and unbelievers alike to not imagine that this primogeniture arrangement is not in the personal and family interest of the founders.

I now see clearly one of the wisdom behind celibacy in the Catholic Church. No Pope can hold up his papacy and pass it on even to his fellow county man. In fact, he is not even part of the process of the selection of his successor.
