Pls which hosting company would u recommend for a starter, that is reliable and affordable?

I would recommend Speedyconnect. I am using them to host my site https://www.dailytechnet.com and for the past 3 months I've only experienced 1 downtime and it lasted 5 minutes. I am not so sure about their Unlimitedness but i do know that they are good and the support system is crazy, I once chatted them around 3am in the midnight cus i was working on the site and i was suprised to see they were online and replied instantly..I was having issue with the SSL of which they assisted me and even did the work both on their end and on my site's end.

It can be bought and installed on your server and it is renewed yearly. Your host should be the ones to sell the SSL certificate and install it for you.

That's because they haven't bought and installed an SSL Certificate for it on their server. I myself use SSL(Https)...No biggie.
Although i think Nairaland should seriously look into it. Being a forum with 1.8M users, SSL is overly necessary.
