I am trying for a second baby. First baby was in 2007 and having been trying for a second one without success. Recently was diag with hep B. Went for a test to determine viral load and here is the result:

PCR Hep. B Quant is 3.38 log (23740 cps/ml)
Hep B Core Antibodies =positive
HBEag = negative
HBEab = positive

LFT
Total bilirubin 33 (high)
Liver enzymes (were all within normal)

I was placed on Zeffix (lamivudine) and Livolin forte. My question is that is can one get pregnant while taking these medications. Is it safe to go for IVF under this condition. my husband has low sperm count and was advised that IVF is the best option. It was during the infection screening that HEP was discovered. Hubby result is vol = 3ml, density=1, motility=26%, progression=fair, normal forms =0, colour=normal, debris =+, round cells= <0.1.

Secondly, I always experience severe waist pain/headache/high blood pressure during ovulation or sometimes during menses. The headache/high blood pressure disapears immediately after ovulation or menses while the waist pain persist at times.

I need your assistance or advice. Let me start from the beginning. I have been unable to perceive (smell) things for years now. I have visited about 3 doctors and no remedy.

But what’s actually bothering me now is that I have catarrh and one most time one of my nose is blocked. This has been going on for about 4 months now. I tried treating it myself and when it didn’t go I visited a different Doc and he prescribe some,

- Guronsan
- And an antibiotics I can’t remember.

I think you are having what is called nasal polyps. I advice you see an ENT specialist. My younger sister is suffering from nasal polyps today and it started with her not perceiving, then unending nasal congestion and cataah. Hers had even grown to the extent of blocking the airway before a sugery which brought temporary releaf. she was told that there are chances that it might regrow but has been on nasal spray since then.

The earlier you seek appropriate medical care, the better.

I am having secondary infertility ( had a child 2 yrs ago).  Hav bn TTC since baby #1 was 10 mnths but no avail.  Have done quite a couple of tests which came out ok.  However, just yesterday, I discovered what the problem is (online research) as hormonal imbalance (thyroid problem). Almost all the symptoms listed is what I have been experiencing since the past 10 months.  I have taken a test just to confirm before starting treatment.  Test will be out in 3 wks but I believe i have come to the end of the problem.  Before baby #1, i waited for two yrs.

Poster, have you done all necessary test.  it is very common among nigerian women to sit idle and lament without seeking medical assistance.  I will advice that while you pray, i encourage you to do the needful by seeing a gyn for proper diagnoisis. Although most of our doctors do not update their knowledge, I will advice that you do research on the internet depending on the symtoms you re having and who knows, you might be able to guess the problem which helps in getting solution to the problem faster.

Now to the post, I think that if trully the CBN gov is not acting a script, it is  a welcome development.  I would also like the EFCC to go after contractors that fail to perform especially after collecting more than 80%.  If this is done, the problem of bad roads, electricity and health would be solved.  for example, i ve been living in ph for more than 10 years and I have come to realise that every year, the same road is awarded for either construction or repairs becos most of the time, the contractors carry out shabby jobs  that doesn't stand the test of one rainy season!  Yet, these are the so called 'big men' without conscience.  

Finally, then the corrupt military and political cabals such as the evil genuis  called IBB, ibori, igbinedion, anenih, yerima, etc.  If EFCC can go after the untouchables like Ribadu did, then sanity will return to our dear country and only then can meaningful development be achieved.  Shallom

I know pathfinder very well but I hate biggies (i mean big cars). Mind you, the Infiniti am talking about is not the QX56 (which looks similar to Nissan Pathfinder or Amanda). its the beetle-like shaped!
