Its high time the government do something about these fulanis as their blood-lust is gradually becoming incontinent. If you ask me, they should be made to understand that there are laws governing every part of the country and barefaced attack on people which results to carnage on the slightest of provocation would not be tolerated. Haba! The middle belt is a guinea savanna and is different to what is obtained in the far north, they shouldn't expect that ordinary farmers who worked assiduously would sit arm-folded while they graze on their crops. I blame some of the state governors of these state though, these nomads should be compelled to practice modern animal rearing methods, and sending their children to school should be made compulsory, failure to heed to this directive should be considered a state security threat and the gov. can take it up appropriately. I wonder what plans states and federal government have for these people, would they continue to be nomads when Nigeria celebrates 100 yrs of independence? The continual clash from Plateau, Nasarawa, Kogi, and Benue is unacceptable. The people should blame Suswam and their senators Mark/Akume & co. for staring cluelessly while their people are experiencing doomsday. Fulani should be denizened in state approved lands whenever they come back from Ouagadougou or wherever it is they trek from yearly. On those approved lands, hospitals, schools & other amenities should be domiciled, ofcourse they will pay for these services and if they can't, they should redirect their grazing routes to Benin or The Camerouns shikenah! Failure to do so, I fear there would always be tension between the host communities and the nomads. |
Okija_juju: So Benue is still existing as a State in Nigeria?!You speak like a 4 year old lunatic. |

Hello good people of this thread, I have, once in a while check for updates on the thread to know what is happening. I would like to salute your patience so far in waiting for this belated list, I pray that when it is finally released, all those who have looked forward to it will have recourse to smile back to God with thanksgiving. On a serious note, and this is my own opinion, I think the action of the school in regards to admission list and the insouciance it has displayed so far to this end is soulless and borderline inhuman. This is betoken of how management of the school run things as if it were a one man business. It is unfortunate, the series of chaos that had besetted our great institution last year has led to the depredation of every aspect of campus life. One would have wondered why the school did not employ sagacity to ensure that accreditation palaver that beleaguered our school last year was not cordoned off so that other aspects of academic routine would not be overly dysfunctioned. I don't see anything wrong with the school releasing 1st, 2nd & 3rd list at this time, since academic activity has being bedridden for over 5 months. Haba! Fellow applicants like you all who by the way sat for the same UTME as all of you are writing their 1st semester exams, that is if they are not on vacation already. The Ayatollah of our school should please do something fast to assuage the undue stress you all are passing through. Now we have another UTME right around the corner and those who applied for last year's own are yet but applicants. Obviously these lot of students will approach this year's UTME with desultory disposition. Friends, I will like to encourage you all not to despair as all hope is not lost. It is better late than never, for as many of you who still seek for admission, my prayer is that you will all receive it. By God's grace, you all will meet us here in Gwags or P site. Patience they say, is a virtue. I hope you all would have learnt an important virtue that would impart positively on your character. All the best, and my prayers are for all of you. |

Friends, if you don't have connection in unilorin, getting admission would be almost impossible. Better choose another school and pray to God. I think it would be a terrible idea choosing the school 1st & 2nd choice. Even with a score of 82 in putme & 260+ in jamb, admission would still be a tall dream without connection. Don't say you were not told. Anyway, miracles still happens. All the best to you all |

Your question sounds too abridged for, which one is better? In what terms do you mean? Is it contributing to the society at large? Then I will say both. People have lived in this world longer and never has there being more humans in the world as there are today, this is as a result of advances in medicine. Epidemics like like small pox, bubonic plague, polio etc have being brought to near extinction if not eradicated. Let's not even talk about malaria. Law has brought order and justice to humanity, the difference between us and animal is that we are govern and live under laws. Contemporary civilisation is pivoted by law and maintenance of sound jurisprudence. Is it by financial gains or returns? Both. In occidental climes, professionals in these two professions are among the highest earners? But unfortunately, in nigeria, the answer to these two is "none" People still die of malaria in their thousands, maternal mortality rate is among the highest in the world, there are some surgeries that cannot be performed within the borders of nigeria. The Nigerian legal system is bastardized, terrorist are released on bail, while many a people suspect of lesser crimes rot away in jail without trial. People steal billions and are asked by a judge to pay less than a million. There are laws but the custodians of the law do not bring law and order, the poor suffer and the rich escape with impunity. Financial returns in Nigeria for both in Nigeria is poor, you can tell from the incessant strike embarked upon by NMA. Plus, I have seen lawyers being paid N25,000 after over six years of studies. But in all, doctors in Nigeria earn far more than lawyers on the AVERAGE. |
