From my personal experiences, none of the care homes specified IELTS VI or general.
This is one example I've copied and pasted "Can you provide either a OET or a IELTS certificate". I may be wrong, but none ever specified among at least 4 experiences.

I already had my passport. You're jumping to conclusions anyhow tbvh. Anyway, whatever rocks your boat cause if I'm asked to choose, I'd go with the people that are actually involved in the process rather than someone who is using his internet and personal experience to judge mine

You may be mixing things up , is either your employer still waiting for their CoS application or not serious giving you CoS because they must request your passport . Last document they requested from me was my passport , though I'm still waiting too.

You said it right here that what they're doing is confirming that you have the right documents. It's not needed for your cos process in home office.

Besides, if you hear me speak, you'll know there's no way I can fail an English test ��

From the start, my firm did not ask me for any document. Got my job offer without confirmation of having any document. They started talking cos process from the start and told me I should get my documents while they wait.

And if you ask anyone that got a job offer recently, emphasis on the recently, they'll tell you the same thing. Home office has slowed down in approving allocated cos.

So is it only English proficiency they'd ask for, to indicate the start of the CoS application..? Things are just getting weirder and weirder, other wise all these are what should be submitted for visa request. Me , I'm even still here strategizing on how to force offer out of their hands.

You'll just have to be really patient o. Home office is in way over their head with this Ukraine issue. Mine is close to a month plus now since my offer letter and nothing yet

Na wa ooo...these people are weird Shaa. This lady was wowing and woahing doing the interview, started to talk about them not offering payment during their compulsory eight day induction training and whether it will be a problem for me, me I said no. Then she said she'd meet with her colleague that afternoon...and until now...blankkk. God will help me. It's interesting to find a care home that did not specify the IELTS, as yours did. Congrats to you.

Again, do they send rejection emails after interview or will they just bone the interviewee? So many things confuse me.
It's been four days now since the interview and I don't know whether I should be agitated, because she's specifically said she will meet with her colleagues that afternoon. And I've heard people on YouTube talk about receiving offer fifteen minutes later and CoS in two days?? Understandably, things could be different now...but I want to know the common timeline for care homes with regards to job offers.

Please what's the typical timeline for a care home to give you an offer? And by giving offer is it by mouth at first or they just send you the email with the contract to sign. What's the time line? I also just saw that you said they only sent a mail transferring you to their solicitor for CoS application, does it mean that they were waiting for you to send your IELTS first?

Although, am passionate about working as a social worker and read a lot on social work. I have interest in care giving/advocacy, but because it is not selling in Nigeria, l had to abandon master in social work for a Master in Public Administration .

My work experience has been Teaching with ten years experience.
So, which path do I follow?

Can someone who is UK share a real monthly expenses which includes PCM rent, groceries, light/gas bills, council tax, TV license and miscellaneous.

You are responsible for payment of the immigration suncharge. Paying on your behalf and deductingbfrom your salary is doing you a favour. Your annual renumeration looks okay too.

Please we need clarity on these positions. Is there a difference between the senior carer and the healthcare assistant positions based on their visa duration?

Someone said that as a healthcare assistant, we'll get just one year visa which we'll have to apply for extension from within UK while the senior carer visa is for 5 years....

Please how true, should we really for any reason target the senior carer positions and not the healthcare assistants?

***My brother has no background in nursing but has completed the mandatory care Certificate training and is assisting at a hospital.

Good morning everyone, pls I need help, as I was doing my IELTS registration using my phone, I didn't take note of the computer base and paper base option, it was at the end of the registration that I saw computer base test.

The problem is that I am not too proficient in typing and I have written British council to change it to paper base. but, is been more than 5 days no response from.

I'm talking about the CoS and I'm talking from people's experience on other forums. I didn't even say 8 weeks, keyword was "up to 8 weeks"
