PoliticsJonathan Not Interested In Election –APGA by Emytexboy(op): 6:09pm On Feb 12, 2015
By Augustine Adah
Snr. Correspondent, Lagos
The leader of the All Progressive
Grand Alliance (APGA), Lagos State,
Campbell Umehnzekwe, has stated
that President Goodluck Jonathan
may prefer to handover power to
interim government.
This, Umehnzekwe posited, is
because the President is not
interested in conduction an election,
which he is not sure of winning.
Umehnzekwe, who spoke to Daily
Independent on Wednesday, said
March 28 and April 11 slated for the
elections might not be a reality.
“I was telling people that the February
election as slated by INEC would be
scuttled because PDP will not like to
hold election, which the party will be
defeated and now it has come to
pass,” he said.
Umehnzekwe, who was the former
organising secretary of Lagos State
chapter of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP), further stated that the
PDP has not performed well to
deserve re-election.
“Nobody wants to vote for a
government that cannot provide
constant power, job and infrastructure
for the citizenry.”
He stated that the shift in election
dates was a ploy to save face
because if election is held today,
Jonathan is not sure of winning in 10
out of 36 states of the country.
“Holding an election on February 14
would be like a man presiding over
his own funeral.”
The APGA leader warned that unless
Nigerians are vigilant, the country
might be heading towards political
crisis this year.
“The ruling party is afraid of Buhari’s
government because they know the
man would not tolerate the evils of
this present government.”
On the rumour that Jega may proceed
on terminal leave so as to stop him
from conducting the elections
because of the fear that he may
favour opposition party, Umehnzekwe
described the idea as foolish.
“Jega was the man that presided over
the 2011 elections that brought the
present government to power.
“It was the same election where the
former governor of Imo State, Ikedi
Ohakim, worked with INEC to give
President Jonathan over one million
votes while in the governorship
election, both Ohakim and incumbent
governor could not garner up to
800,000 votes http:///mmbeYonQIp altogether.”sourse>>>

There are strong indications that the
presidential and National Assembly
elections originally scheduled for 14
February may have been
rescheduled to March 28 while the
governorship and state houses of
assembly elections earlier fixed for 28
February may now hold on 11 April,
all of these subject to final ratification
of the meeting between INEC National
Commissioners and State Resident
Electoral Commissioners currently
ongoing.
The decision to reschedule the
elections may have come out of the
meeting of the electoral commission,
political parties and civil society
organisations.

BREAKING: February 14 elections
postponed by six weeks
The Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC), has decided to
postpone the February 14 presidential
and legislative elections by six weeks.
According to an Associated Press (AP)
report, this development is to enable
multinational force time, to secure
Boko Haram threatened areas in North
East Nigeria.
An official told AP that millions would
have been disenfranchised if the polls
were conducted as initially planned,
while the insurgents continue to
control some cities in that region, with
over 1.5 million people displaced from
their homes.
More Military strikes are expected in
the coming days, even as troops from
Chad and Nigeria have forced the
extremists from a dozen towns in
recent days.
INEC are expected to make an official

Predicts interim govt . Nigeria to split in three

Royal House of David Ministry’s Prophet Godfrey Gbujie yesterday said President Goodluck Jonathan will be the last civilian president to rule Nigeria before another civil war breaks out.

He said the nation “is at the crossroads of the last phase of 20 years reign of demons beginning from 1995-2015.”

The prophet, who claimed to have predicted the deaths of former military ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha and President Shehu Yar’Adua, told newsmen in Owerri that neither Gen. Muhammadu Buhari nor Goodluck Jonathan would be president in 2015.

“Buhari has a mission divinely imposed on him, but he shall not rule this country again; even if he wins, God has not determined him to find His favour. Jonathan is the last elected president of this country,” he stressed.

He refuted the possibility of military take-over, saying no military coup will succeed against the Jonathan administration.

However, he said “a loyal military commander will form interim government as there is going to be temporary vacancy in Aso Rock,” adding that head of the interim government would convene a national peace conference.

According to him, another crisis would erupt from the North, which will be led by two generals. “The two generals will emerge to lead a war from the North, which will eventually lead to the emergence of a young man from the East, who shall be chief peace mediator for the nation at the time of national crisis.”

The prophet, who claimed that God was angry at Nigeria and its rulers, said his vision reveals “the very bloody civil crises, which the Omnipotent God has decreed and is about to bring upon Nigeria.

“The nation has been condemned to geo-political disintegration and three independent nations shall emerge from her ruins. Biafra shall be re-established and Oduduwa nation shall emerge while the Northern Nigeria might prefer to answer Republic of Northern Nigeria at the time.”

He warned: “Do not despise the word of prophecy; I encourage whosoever reads or hears these prophecies to believe them and offer praises to God as each comes to fulfillment.”

PoliticsTraditional Priest Predicts Victory For Buhari By Augustine Adah - Snr Correspo by Emytexboy(op): 11:19am On Feb 05, 2015
The Egbeji of Nigeria, Chief Bola Adegunloye, has predicted the victory of the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), in the February 14 presidential election.

Adegunloye spoke to Daily Independent in Lagos, Wednesday.

He said that President Goodluck Jonathan may be the first incumbent president to lose a second-term election in Nigeria.

“I don’t have any personal grouse against Jonathan but I don’t see him winning the next election in the country,” he said.

He further advised Buhari to be very careful because forces working against him may want to truncate the victory and fail to handover power to him on May 29. “Though Buhari may win the election, he needs to pray very hard because forces working against him may not want him to become the next president of the country.”

Adegunloye, who predicted the victory of the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, at the tribunal in 2009, urged Nigerians to pray fervently to avert crisis in the forthcoming elections. According to him, the peace accord signed by the two leading presidential candidates in the Abuja last month may not be a panacea to peace during and after the elections.

“Every Nigerian has a responsibility to pray fervently and avoid any situation that may aggravate violence during the forthcoming elections”. Adegunloye, who expressed disappointment on the behaviour of some politicians because they have failed to deliver on election promises, promised that many of them would be disappointed with the outcome of the election result.

“I can tell you that many politicians who want to rig the election because they want to win by all means would be disappointed at the end of the election”.

Twelve days to the start of the
general elections, indications are that
non-indigenes in northern states are
relocating en masse to their
respective home states for fear of
being caught unawares in the event of
a post-election violence.
Many of such travelers who spoke to
our correspondents across the 19
northern states say they prefer return
to their roots to await the outcome of
the Presidential election which they
fear may lead to huge loss of lives
and property, going by the unfriendly
banters by the protégés of the major
players.
As a result of the palpable fears, our
correspondents learnt that many
families who traveled for the
Christmas and New Year holidays
were yet to returen.
Most schools were said to have
resumed with few students returning
as most had either relocated,
travelled back to the South or stayed
back with their parents in their
respective states to come back after
the election, that is, if the election
goes without hitches or post-election
violence.
Economies of many of these states
are said to have been affected by this,
as business activities are at their ebb.
Daily Independent investigation
revealed that, some shops in markets
across Kaduna have remained locked
for almost three months while some
property owners are either selling off
their property or leasing them.
Some residents, who spoke to our
correspondent said the reassurances
of protection of lives and property by
the state government have so far not
changed much as the mass return
continued. Asked if the places they
were running to were safer, some
said if they must die, let it be
amongst their people.
Tajudeen Ajibade, a leader of the
Yorubas in Kaduna blamed the
decision to return to their home
states on the tension generated
ahead of the elections, because he
believe that crises would erupt due to
some of the inflammatory statements
being made. While trying to douse
such fears, he said: “I see no reason
why anyone should be leaving. You
should stay where you are registered
and think seriously about the
Nigerian Project.
Dominic Uzu, who spoke on behalf of
Chief Barrister Chris Nnolie, President
of Igbo residents in Kaduna, however,
denied any such exodus by Ndigbo,
whom, he said, have been urged to
stay and vote where they are
registered.
Most of those who spoke to Daily
Independent like Kenneth Onwubiko,
however, said the fears being
expressed are real, insisting that
nobody can talk him out of returning
to his homeland.
Madam Martha, 65, recalled from
experience then as a teenager that the
Nigerian civil war which started
gradually, with people at home
calling on families members to return
home.
Mark Jacob, Legal Adviser to the
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria
(FAAN) and a PDP stalwart in
Kaduna State said people would only
move with the benefit of hindsight.
He concurred that “during the 2011
post-election violence non- indigenes
were targeted. We believe that such a
thing should not happen again
because if people are moving away
from the North it should be of great
concern to all politicians.”
He called on politicians to be careful
not to send wrong signals through
their language.
Over the past week in Maiduguri, the
Borno State capital, there had also
been exodus of people gripped by fear
over possible post-election
hostilities.
Besides the activities of the Boko
Haram insurgents, memories of the
2011 post-election violence in some
parts of the northern region remained
fresh, as it claimed many lives,
especially of those from southern
states.
A trip to luxury bus parks in the state
showed that such travelers in their
hundreds were seen struggling to
purchase tickets, leading to a sharp
hike in fares to N6,500 per passenger
from N4,500 exclusive of their loads.
Chuks Ibe, one of the travelers, told
Daily Independent in one of the parks
that he was ready to pay as much as
N10,000 to return “home”.
When contacted an Igbo leader in
Borno State, Oscar Onoh, said the
exodus of Ndigbo was informed by
certain unhealthy utterances that tend
to instil fear into them.
“Imagine a situation where some
natives would be telling the non-
natives that some people’s throats
will be slit in this election. So, that’s
why our people are leaving pending
the outcome of the election,” he
stated.
On his part, the Leader of Yoruba
community in Borno State, Yusuf
Alao, who admitted that some
southerners were fleeing, blamed it
on some comments being made in
the town that the country would break
up, among others.
“I have told my people not to panic;
that nothing will happen. People
should remain calm and go about
their normal business as Nigeria will
not break and there will be no crisis
in the election,” Alao, also known as
mai Yorubawa (Yoruba leader) said.
The movement out of Bauchi in large
number became noticeable as non-
indigenes who travelled for Christmas
celebration also opted to stay back
until after election while others have
started leaving since January 2015.
When Daily Independent visited a
luxury bus park along Maiduguri bye-
pass in Bauchi, Ejike Isu, a resident,
who escorted his wife and children to
the park said: “I am sending my wife
and children home while I will join
them by next weekend because we
don’t know what will happen during
the election. We don’t want to be
caught unawares.”
A businessman in Bauchi, Emeka
Aneke, from Ebonyi State who said he
would be travelling to his home town
by first week of February said he
chattered an 18-seater bus to convey
his family home three weeks ago.
“I stopped buying goods since last
November, so I am only selling the
ones I have in the shop because it is
better for me to keep the money in the
bank so that if it happens that we are
not able to come back to Bauchi, I
can use my money to start business
in another state,” he said.
Another Igbo leader who craved
anonymity said: “As a leader, I am
not supposed to tell people to flee the
state because we are supposed to
stay back and exercise our franchise
as citizens of Nigeria, but
unfortunately with the security
challenges in the north coupled with
harsh political utterances from the
two major parties, we need to move
to our home town to be safe.
Tessy Emmanuel, a banker who hails
from Benue State had no plans to
travel, but the violence that erupted
the day President Jonathan visited
Bauchi for campaign rally made her
to change her mind.
Kano, commercial capital of Northern
Nigeria is not left out, as passengers
daily besiege the New Road motor
park in the city.
One of such, Uche Onyeama, told our
correspondent he was leaving town
because there was uncertainty hence
the need to be where his safety is
guaranteed.
A tricycle operator Saidu Bala told our
correspondent that in Badawa
Quarters of Kano, where he plied his
trade, a lot of non-indigenes have left
town, while those who remained have
been sending their families home and
to follow later.
Reacting, the Sarkin Yoruba of Kano,
Saliu Olowo said the fear was
uncalled for, appealing for calm, just
as he urged politicians to desist from
campaigns of calumny.
Leader of Ndigbo in Kano, J. C. Nnaji,
agreed with his Yoruba counterpart
that there is no reason for the exodus
of non-indigenes as it would only
show a sign of disharmony which did
not exist.
In Uyo, Akwa Ibom, the heavy traffic
at the state transport company’s park
gave an outlook of a festivity as
many were seen with household
items and members of their families.
One of them, Mrs. Julie Udoh, told
our correspondent that she had spent
her entire life in the north but was for
the first time feeling serious sense of
insecurity and decided to relocate to
her state of origin.
At the Kano, Sokoto, Jebba, Lokoja,
Birnni-Kebbi bound bus station, in the
Ojoo motor park, in Ibadan, Oyo
State, our correspondent learnt that
there was in-bound traffic, with
minimal outbound buses. He however
said not only non-indigenes as
northerners were also fleeing from
their places of origin as a result of the
Boko-Haram insurgency and with the
election around the corner.
One of the drivers plying Ibadan/Kano
route, Tajudeen Kareem, confirmed to
our reporter that a lot of people, who
returned for Christmas stayed back
for whatever reasons. This, he said,
“is a wise decision if it is because of
the election because nobody can say
what will happen.”

General Mohammadu Buhari:
He must resist the pressure from
different groups/people regarding the
upcoming presidential election. The
physical body of this man needs
supervision. Why can’t he accept that
it is only the power of God that can
heal him?
He must pray for the spiritual hand of
God to preserve and protect his life.
Furthermore, he must also pray to Me
so that I can give him liberty and
healing in his physical body, says the
Lord of hosts.
If it is Buhari that believes that I am
alive and surrender his heart to Me,
he will win the election. Nevertheless
despite people’s mandate they will
neither release power to him nor
swear him in as the president of the
nation.
His situation will be similar to Abiola
that had people’s mandate, but was
not given the chance to rule the
country.
Upcoming Election:
1. If APC is not careful and increase
their efforts in Lagos State, PDP will
win the State.
2. If APC is slack in Ogun State PDP
and SDP may take over the State.
3. In Oyo State, if APC did not become
energized, PDP, Labour Part and
Accord Party will dominate the State.
4. PDP is still firmly in control of
Ondo State.
5. If care is not taken Labour party
and PDP will snatch the rein of
control in Kano State.
6. If the people of Kwara are not
ready, APC will take the State.
7. If River State did not put in their
best, PDP will win the State.
8. Also Edo people must be prepared
or else PDP will take over the State –
if Edo people only speak without
appropriate actions, PDP will win the
election.
February 2015:
Before February 2nd 2015, some
political parties will merge with PDP
because they want Jonathan on the
presidential seat.
All Progressives Congress (APC):
APC will win many states in the
gubernatorial election, but not the
presidential seat at this time.
President Jonathan:
If he believes fully that all power
belongs to Me and nobody has power
except God then he will win the
presidential election, but within six
months after the election he will be
ambushed.
Jonathan will only rule for one year
after his swearing-in-ceremony
because people will poison him
whereby he will be sick and die on the
throne/seat. If they did not succeed,
then there will be physical
confrontation to terminate his life and
these are the reasons why he has to
surrender his life and heart totally to
Me says the Lord.
If he refuses to take steps to
implement My directives, the event
that will happen will be beyond his
comprehension. If the above incident
happens due to Jonathan’s refusal,
and an early presidential election is
conducted before Jonathan’s second
tenure expire due to his demise or
incapability then APC can win the
presidential seat.
Jonathan and Buhari:
If these two men refuse to change, if
they did not make Me their Alpha and
Omega, both of them will contend/
contest the presidential seat, but they
will not be sworn-in.
I send this message to these men so
as to be filled with My fear and fear
Me in all their ways; Moreover, for
them to realize that all power belongs
to only God and not men, says the
Lord of hosts.
Female Politicians:
Women are still coming to powerful
positions in the government of
Nigeria.
