West Africa Further information: History of West Africa The Kingdom of Nri (1043–1911) was the West African medieval state of the Nri-Igbo , a subgroup of the Igbo people, and is the oldest kingdom in Nigeria . The Kingdom of Nri was unusual in the history of world government in that its leader exercised no military power over his subjects. The kingdom existed as a sphere of religious and political influence over much of Igboland, and was administered by a priest -king called the eze Nri . The eze Nri managed trade and diplomacy on behalf of the Igbo people, and was the possessor of divine authority in religious matters. The Oyo Empire (1400–1895) was a West African empire of what is today western Nigeria . The empire was established by the Yoruba in the 15th century and grew to become one of the largest West African states encountered by colonial explorers. It rose to preeminence through wealth gained from trade and its possession of a powerful cavalry . The Oyo Empire was the most politically important state in the region from the mid-17th to the late 18th century, holding sway not only over other Yoruba states, but also over the Fon kingdom of Dahomey (located in the state now known as the Republic of Benin ). Benin Empire (1440–1897), a large pre-colonial African state of modern Nigeria. The Kingdom of Dahomey (1600– 1900) was a West African kingdom in part of modern Benin . Kaabu Empire (1537–1867), a Mandinka Kingdom of Senegambia (centered on modern northeastern Guinea-Bissau but extending into Casamance , Senegal) that rose to prominence in the region thanks to its origins as a former province of the Mali Empire. After the decline of the Mali Empire, Kaabu became an independent kingdom. Aro Confederacy (1690–1902), a slave trading political union orchestrated by the Igbo subgroup, the Aro people , centered in Arochukwu in present day Southeastern Nigeria . Asante Union (1701–1894), a pre-colonial West African state of what is now the Ashanti Region in Ghana . The empire stretched from central Ghana to present day Togo and Côte d'Ivoire , bordered by the Sahelian Dagomba kingdom to the north (a sub-state of the Mossi), and Dahomey to the east. Today, the Ashanti monarchy continues as one of the constitutionally protected, sub- national traditional states within the Republic of Ghana. Kong Empire (1710–1894) centered in north eastern Côte d'Ivoire that also encompassed much of present-day Burkina Faso. Bamana Empire (1712–1896) based at Ségou, now in Mali. It was ruled by the Kulubali or Coulibaly dynasty established c. 1640 by Fa Sine also known as Biton-si-u . The empire existed as a centralized state from 1712 to the 1861 invasion of Toucouleur conqueror El Hadj Umar Tall . Sokoto Caliphate (1804–1903), an Islamic empire in Nigeria , led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’adu Abubakar . Founded during the Fulani Jihad in the early 19th century, it was one of the most powerful empires in sub-Saharan Africa prior to European conquest and colonization. The caliphate remained extant through the colonial period and afterwards, though with reduced power. Republic of Liberia . Toucouleur Empire (1848–1893), established as a jihadist stete bu Al hajj Umar Tall in present Mali, upon the conquest of the kingdoms of Segu and Masina. Wassoulou Empire (1878–1898), a short-lived empire of built from the conquests of Dyula ruler Samori Ture and destroyed by the French colonial army. Kingdom of Bamum (1394–1884), a state in what is now northwest Cameroon that became part of German Kamerun in 1884. Great Lakes Further information: History of East Africa The Sennar Sultanate (1502– 1821) was a sultanate in the north of Sudan , named Funj after the ethnic group of its dynasty or Sinnar (or Sennar) after its capital, which ruled a substantial area of northeast Africa. An Empire of Kitara in the area of the Great Lakes of Africa has long been treated as a historical entity, but is now mostly considered an unhistorical narrative created as a response to the dawn of rule under the Lwo empire, the sole historical record of an organized Nilotic migration into the area.[5] The Kingdom of Buganda (1300– present), home of the Baganda people of Uganda Kongo The Kingdom of Kongo (1400– 1888) was a quasi-imperial state as is evident by the number of peoples and kingdoms that paid it tribute. The kingdom eventually became a vassalage of the Kings of Portugal , a European imperial power. The Luba Empire (1585–1885) arose in the marshy grasslands of the Upemba Depression in what is now southern Democratic Republic of Congo. Lunda Empire (1660–1887) in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo, north-eastern Angola and northwestern Zambia . Its central state was in Katanga . Southern Africa Further information: History of Southern Africa The Mutapa Empire or Empire of Great Zimbabwe (1450–1629) was a medieval kingdom located between the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers of Southern Africa in the modern states of Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Remnants of the historical capitol are found in the ruins of Great Zimbabwe. Zulu Kingdom (1816–1897) Madagascar The Merina Kingdom ruled most of Madagascar from the late 18th century until the island became a French colony in 1896 and the last monarch, Ranavalona III was sent into exile. Let me tell you again, I am not praising myself, but you know when there was a crisis in Kano, what happened when I was Treasurer of CAN 1991. Then Evangelists Reinhard Bonnke’s crusade and there was another one Akanuka. I was a Revered in Kano then. Do you know that we got gifts from across West Africa, WCC and I was the stock keeper and I was Treasurer in Bonnke’s crusade? We don’t share the things on the bases of you are a Christian or you a Muslim. Because innocent Nigerians who left their homes. We went to different places, then that time they said the Yoruba Muslims are inferior. So, the Yoruba Muslim and Christians are together. We didn’t come to say: Are you are Yoruba Christians or Muslim? We shared thing equally. Any Muslim from Okene, they said is an inferior Muslim, even among themselves, then, they said those from Nupe were inferior Muslims too. I knew I leant when we had surplus food for children, we went to IDH, I went to the Chief Medical Director and give them food and children that came there were Muslim and Christians from Kano even. Whenever we visited women when they had their Mothering Sunday, women go to Tafawa Balewa General Hospital, Anima Kano General Hospital and they will buy things. The Medical Director will allow them to give them the gifts to everybody. They don’t come to bed to ask if the person is a Christian or a Muslim. Some time they go to Orthopedic Hospital in Kano. You see people hanging their legs as result of motorcycle accident; they don’t ask if they are Muslims or Christians. We give you gifts because they are human beings. That is how Nigeria should be. So, to answer your question, whoever emerges should be allowed to take the mantle of the leadership. That is what I have to say. What should be the attitude of Christians at a time like this when the society observe the Lenten? For me, every day is Ash Wednesday; after all it is commemoration of what our Lord Jesus Christ suffered. For me, every day is Christmas and every day is Valentine. In the positively sense, Valentine means the church’s positive love. Because Father Valentine made a sacrifice to save humanity, so, when you committed adultery or fornication, you are not doing Valentine, but you are being selfish. So, Ash Wednesday, well this time calls for serious sober reflection. It calls for closeness to God more than before. Ordinarily, by now, I will be enjoying my tea, fish and egg, before coming to the office. But, I have to wait and pray, practice my faith and be close to Jesus Christ. So, I believe that God is wonderful. Because of this elections that was postponed, now every Christian that calls himself a genuine Christian is praying for peaceful, better Nigeria where tribe and tongue will differ in brotherhood and sisterhood will stand. I pray that a time will come when what is happening in the western world will be happening all over Nigeria. In the west, I have attended a wedding of a Christian daughter married in the Mosque. I wore my agbada, you will not know that I am a cleric. I have wedded a Muslim girl in our church. It happened, we give them marriage certificate and they are happy, living together in harmony. http://dailyindependentnig.com/2015/03/election-shift-prayer-answered-uche-methodist-prelate/ |
But, the problem is that only conditions will cause a military intervention. If for instance A wins and B begins problem, there might be military intervention. Or B wins and A says ‘No’; so, it is in their hands. So they shouldn’t blame them if they come in. The politicians are to blame if there is interim government. Anybody dreaming about that is building a skyscraper in the sky; and it can’t stand because it has no foundation. And I want to tell you that we are not naive. If we unite as leaders in Nigeria, Christians, Muslims that means we have one mind, we can take away any government. I don’t know if you are conversant with what happened in Egypt. The Egyptians demonstrated it. So, we can say ‘no’. Nobody has a monopoly of problems. As I am sitting now in this place, do you think that if I issue a paper and say all Methodists, men, women, young men come to the street; don’t eat for one month; and another religion leader does it and another Islamic leader does it, there will be commotion? Even the leaders will run away. If we are going to Aso Rock or Alausa, they can have many people and ready to kill. But at a time, they will run away. But, the point is that they say that Nigerians are the happiest people in the world. They smile and they laugh and they dance under suffering. That’s why people have said; that Nigerians are the happiest people even when they are dying they are dancing and singing. So, that is the problem we have; but we can say ‘no’. We can say ‘Enough is enough’. We can say it. But, I am not calling for insurrection. People should allow votes go on and let vote count and let there be no manipulation. If it goes this way, just allow it. If it goes the other way, just allow it. Whoever emerges, let him rule. The voice of the people is the voice of God. When people elect is God that has elected. So, we should allow sleeping dogs to lie. Nigeria is ours. But, you know, another problem we have in this country is illiteracy. Illiteracy to me does not mean that you did not go to school. Some are educated illiterates. They are myopic. They don’t see beyond their nostrils. If you are bound, you think and act reasonably. You do not have to hurt anybody, they must be fundamental human rights. For instance, when I move around Lagos, I feel disgraced and ashamed when I see gentlemen in their suits walking along the road and the opposite folk exposing what they are not supposed to expose. What is your assessment of the performance of INEC so far? For me, when Jega won my heart as a lover of the Lord in 2011, the election was adjudged as credible. Where I was in the polling booth, those people who thought would win failed woefully. He conducted an election in Anambra that is controlled by APGA. In Ekiti that was controlled by APC and in Edo under Oshiomhole, he conducted the elections on a free and fair basis. What people don’t know is that Israel has grown to 8.5 million and some of these West African countries are less than two million. But, that somebody is organising elections for this country that is up to 60-70 million is not easy. They are doing their best. They have produced so many cards, but the problem is distribution. I heard that some PVCs were stolen. I don’t know by whom. I heard that there was double or triple registration. If they are truthful to themselves, they should know who the people are. As for me now, you know, I came from Enugu on November 6, 2007. They have assured me and I cannot go to vote in Enugu. So, I went for a change. They have done the change and transferred our TVC and PVC to Lagos and Lagos is saying we are going to vote. So, I was very happy. I heard that because of changes they are still printing over one million cards that will come out in the next one week, because, I knew that mine and that of my wife will be among the ones that will be printed. I have the one I did at Enugu. But, I cannot go Enugu to vote. But, they assured me that I must vote. So, if they don’t do it then, I will go to court and I will claim N50 trillion and give it to poor people. I want to vote. Sir, I want you to address the problem of the politicians on the infantry aggression. What is your charge to them? Some of this politician do take drugs. If you look at the way they behave, they are not normal. They operate under the influence of drugs. Those who take drugs are people who have inferiority complex. In fact, if I have my way, drug users will be screened out of politics, because, they will destroy politics. They have mental problem. So, nobody that acts under the influence of drugs should be allowed into politics because their mind has been influenced by drug and that is why you see people walking about half naked. If not by the grace of God, it causes madness. Madness is not by nature, but by drug and that is why they abuse and fight. In fact, those who are known to be taking drugs should be referred for psychiatric tests. It should be made compulsory for contestant of any political party to go for psychiatric test and ensure that those carrying out the test on them should not be influenced with money. How do you imagine somebody climbing the fence? Even if the gate is locked, you go back to your house. See our honourable lawmakers climbing fence with agbada and coat and it was shown to the whole world. It is a disgrace that our honourable men becoming dishonourable. Two wrongs cannot make a right. My people will say somebody who was normal went into the stream to swim and take his bath. He brought down everything, including his pant and placed them on a busy road and when a mad man approached him, he was not patient enough. So, he ran out quickly and the mad man was wearing something. So, who is more of a mad person? You see, there is impatience in everything in this country, impatience in the family and that is why you see some men beating up their wives. If you are a patient man, you will never raise a hand on a woman, because women naturally are talkative. If you are strong emotionally, you will not hit your wife. Some within the Christian circle believe that the way to check threats of Islamisation of the country is to have a Christian occupy the presidency. What is your take on this? For me, a Nigerian is a Nigerian. What determines a vote in this country is the counting of ballot paper and scores. Even if you have the highest number of votes and it is not up to 25 per cent, you are not qualified. So, you must have 25 per cent of votes count. It does not matter whether you are a Christian or Muslim. I lived in Kano for two years. All my security men were Muslims and do you know another thing that happened? That is why in India today, no church has Certificate of Occupancy. But, go to Kano, I have Certificate of Occupancy of all churches. My driver took them to see their wives and I give them one-week leave for tension to calm down. So, I don’t value you because you are Christian. You are human being. Human being created by God, anybody that goes to preach intolerance is a wicked person. I am not going to campaign on the bases on religion. Let the best candidate win, whoever is the best and I don’t know and I don’t need to determine the best candidate, Nigeria will determine the best candidate. If they resolved that the person that come first wins, let the person be our leader. You know in a multiple language, multiple religions, multiple ethnic society as Nigeria, there must be tolerance. It is basic for us to live together. That is why when I preached on the Armed Forces Remembrances Day, I said nobody can Islamise Nigeria and nobody can Christianise Nigeria. One type of Sahara something that is called junk journalism said that they don’t hear what I said. They took up the Islamisation and don’t talk about Christianisation. Now they said that I was addressing APC. That is absolute misrepresentation. I remember that my preaching caused problem because the presidency doesn’t see me as somebody that is on its side. Then the Islamic people; I was talking Nigeria. I was not siding anybody. There is no money you can give me today that will make me to talk on the area of religions. How do you think the security agencies can ensure a safe election? |
Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Chukwuemeka Uche, is known for his outspokenness. In this interview with Senior Correspondent, ARAMIDE OIKELOME, he airs his views on the postponement of the general elections, the clamour for Interim Government and the capability of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) under Attahiru Jega to conduct free and fair elections. Excerpts: Uche When you look at the nation’s polity today, especially what the politicians have made out of it, what are the things that bother you? What bothers me now is the radicalism and immaturity on the part of Nigerian politicians. They don’t seem to be matured; they behave like infants. In fact, if you look at them in the Houses of Assembly, political campaigns, there is what we call in Psychology infantile aggression. That is what they are manifesting. These people don’t see themselves as servants of the people. They see themselves as masters; and they see themselves as the owners of Nigeria. It will be foolishness on my part to think that Methodist Church of Nigeria belongs to me because God has given me the privilege of being the number one person and the leader of the entire people. And I am leading people that are professionals in various professions: professors, journalists, business gurus, ambassadors, local women and many counting in millions. I cannot deceive myself that I am their boss. I see myself as their servant and I behave myself as their servant. That is why we consult before we do anything; various leaders from various parts of the country will gather under a very serene and cordial atmosphere and we make sure everybody is carried along. But, it is also people like them saying if I don’t rule Nigeria everything will disintegrate; because some people are calling for mutiny. Some people are sponsoring Boko Haram. We now know that some politicians are sponsoring them because they are saying that they may cause confusion so that the elections do not hold. Why are they doing so? God will expose everything at the end of the day. I am not impressed. They know the situation was dicey. In fact, the postponement of the elections was a prayer answered because most of us were fasting and praying. If elections had held at that time, there would have been bloodshed. I believe that tempers are cooling down now; and some people are coming to their senses. There is a trend in Nigeria that the church has become a place where politicians go to curry favour. Do you see this as a healthy development? It is not. I saw some hungry pastors on television; they want to make money. You can’t see me in that kind of thing; you can’t see Okogie; you can’t see Makinde; you can’t see Okoh; you can’t see us. Somebody wanted to address us in our convention held weeks ago, and there was a promise that they were going to pay about 80 per cent of the bill, which ran into N50 million. And if I had agreed, they would have come to my house and dropped the money. I said: “No. The climate is not favourable. Don’t come. I don’t want any party here. Stop that, if we don’t have money, we will drink garri. After all, we are going for prayer.” I rejected it. I knew they were not happy. Those people are not happy. But, I don’t care. For me, integrity matters more than money. I cannot sacrifice my name for money. My name is of more value in the presence of God, before God and before humanity. Now they are saying that pastors were given N6 billion. I sleep well because it doesn’t concern me. You can’t trace a kobo to my pocket. It depends on who is a pastor. You know now, there is no job in Nigeria. And people who are failures, when they move around, it is easy to go to a bookshop or a collaring factory, buy collars, buy a coat and a shirt and wear a chain like me. And most of them are Regional, General and all these things. Some of them answer Rt. Rev. Prof. Dr. (laughter). Today, it is like the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is not as strong as it used to be. What is the cause of this? I used to be a strong supporter of CAN. I go there no matter who is leading. Some of us in the mainline churches are looking down on the Pentecostals. Pentecostals have credible men who are leading. Look at somebody like that of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye; that of Covenant Church (University), Bishop David Oyedepo (of Winners’ Chapel). There are many people that are credible there. Why must you look down on them? And they are qualified; they are very educated. I support CAN 100 per cent. I still attend their meetings and I offer my suggestions. I give counsel. So, I don’t support anybody that looks down on others. You don’t look down on others and treat people with ignominy. It is not fair. You shouldn’t be proud and think that others are nonentities. No, it shouldn’t be so. We should adopt the spirit of live and let live. Everybody has value; all these appellations and paraphernalia, attachments and titles are for here. When you go down the grave, it is no more. God does not look down on anybody. God gives value and maintains that life is sacred. That’s why He said, “Thou shall not kill.” Well, we are doing something to bring everybody to CAN. That is the essence of the meeting we attended on Tuesday and all the blocks were represented. We spoke with one voice and decided that no Christian youth should involve in thuggery. Go and vote, exercise your franchise and go home; we are not going to kill. You know, we have suffered a lot. When we were deliberating, there were some film clips we watched, and we were weeping. You see where a Christian man is brought before his family and he is slaughtered as a goat, and dismembered just because he is a Christian. They are saying the thing (insurgency) is not religious. How is it not religious when you are selective? If you go to Borno State, the nine local governments affected are all Christian local governments. Why? I don’t want to read their minds; maybe they don’t want Christians to cast their votes. That is how I look at it. Truth is bitter. May be they don’t want Christians to cast their votes so that when they come, no Christian should be voted for. You don’t advocate that anybody should be treated badly on the basis of religion. You hear of somebody who has stolen money and he now goes to the public and makes sure he gives salt and rice and you vote for him. You mortgage your future and the future of your children. It is not fair; people are hungry and I am sorry, it has gone to every profession. Do you also agree that clergymen should not take sides with any political party? For me in Methodist Church, we came up with a decision during our Bishops Conference some six seven years back, I think in 2011. We said that any Methodist minister that wants to go into partisan politics should first resign; give us a letter of resignation. But, if at the end of the day, for instance, when I was in Enugu as the Archbishop and when I was in Owerri as the Bishop; In each of these areas, government usually approached me. The governor might say; Your Grace or Your Eminence or whatever, please we need a credible minister of God to be in this Board to be the Chairman of this Board. I will look round and write recommendation for a minister and he will be taken. If you go to the state governments in the states where I had served, I have reverend ministers who are either in the Education Board or Pilgrims Board or sometimes State Radio, somebody who will be a Chaplain. I do recommend them and they go to serve. But, it is not their main profession; The only benefit is that when they go to serve and we know they are there, we only give them allowance. That saves the church some money. But, you cannot go and carry card and be partisan. If you do it, that day I will invite you to my office and force you to resign. That is our policy. So, when I see….., Well, let me not say more. Okay we have also had about proposition for Interim Government and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Attahiru Jega, has just said that he cannot guarantee that elections will hold as rescheduled. In case the election is scuttled, will there be any justification for formation of Interim Government? Elections cannot be scuttled. Every other thing may be sacrosanct; but, that of governorship or governance is not. If you look at the Constitution, there is a provision that where there is a stalemate, that the incumbent can continue for six months. That is what is provided in the Constitution. So, I don’t think that there will be an interim administration. People are gearing for that. I have privileged information, many months before it was made public. And at the circle where we discuss is a mixture of intellectuals, not only Christians. It was mentioned and we said it is a very retrogressive step. We don’t want interim government because interim government means that soldiers will come or police; we don’t want it. We should pray as I am praying that election holds on March 28.

Pope Francis has suggested he may resign his papacy like his predecessor, rather than remain at the Vatican for life. The pontiff made the comments during a interview with Mexican television, marking the second anniversary of his election. “I have the feeling that my pontificate will be brief. Four or five years; I do not know, even two or three,” he said. He praised Pope Benedict’s decision to step aside in 2013 as “courageous”. “Benedict should not be considered an exception, but an institution. Maybe he will be the only one for a long time, maybe he will not be the only one. “But an institutional door has been opened,” he told the Televisa channel. Pope Francis has hinted in the past that he could retire, but said he was opposed to the idea of an age limit for leaders of the Catholic Church. “To say that one is in charge up to 80 years, creates a sensation that the pontificate is at its end and that would not be a good thing,” he added. The pontiff revealed he missed being able to do simple things like visiting a pizzeria without being noticed A papal conclave elected Pope Francis as Benedict XVI’s successor on 13 March 2013. He became the first Latin American to lead the Church. During the interview he admitted he was “surprised” by the decision and had only carried a small suitcase to Rome, with the expectation he would return to Buenos Aires. His simple style has won him praise from Catholics, as have his promises to reform the Curia – the Church’s internal government. However, he said two years of his papacy had now passed and he felt it would not continue for very much longer. “I do not know. But I feel that the Lord has placed me here for a short time, and nothing more,” he added. “But it is a feeling. I always leave the possibility open.” He told Televisa that he “did not mind being Pope”, but missed the anonymity associated with life as a priest. “The only thing I would like is to go out one day, without being recognised, and go to a pizzeria for a pizza.”

PANIC AS RADIO BIAFRA HITS IMO STATE: For some time now an FM station which says it is Radio Biafra has been airing broadcasts and stating that it is from London. A survey around Imo State has revealed that many Imo people have been tuning into the station and following the programmes with growing deep interest. According to the people Midweek Nigerian Horn spoke with the strong attraction, in addition to the claim to being radio Biafra, is found in the clear signal reception of the broadcast from the station. Incidentally, it was discovered too that the messages of the station have been unfavourable to the Gov. Okorocha administration as it reports copiously on alleged negative sides of the government. The respondents say the whole thing is creating confusion as they do not know what to believe again about the Okorocha administration. What do you think? Nigerians should as a matter of urgency pray for Buhari instead of condemning him on a daily basis, this is the word of a close family member who said Nigerians should know that Muhammadu Buhari is no longer interested in running for the office of the presidency. Buhari has made this known to top APC leaders, but it didn’t go down well with few of them especially those that have committed a lot of money to sell Buhari to Nigerians. Buhari is purely acting on instruction of his doctors both home and abroad, the general have been suffering from these illness for some time now “prostate cancer, acute asthma and recently dementia”. Though dementia is only detected recently but it hasn’t gotten to the severe stage. It’s good to note that Buhari is in a very stable condition until the middle of their campaign, Buhari had literally complain about his bad health during their campaign that he can’t make it to all the 36 states of the federation but APC leaders ignored him, all plea by Buhari’s family members to give Buhari some rest were turned down. All APC did was to have two doctors and ambulance on standby in majority of the rallies. One of the top APC leader also plead for Buhari to have some rest considering that Buhari haven’t had this level of campaign before now, unlike his three previous campaign where he only campaigned in northern part of Nigeria but it was vehemently ignored by Tinubu himself. The plan APC leaders are putting on table should they win is for Buhari to stay in office at least for one year before resigning on the condition of his bad health. The big questions now are, who is going to be the President if Buhari resigns within one year as planned? Constitutionally the Vice President should take over, but considering that Pastor Yemi Osibanjo had sworn an oath to resign his office within six months in office paving way for Bola Tinubu. Will I be right to say that Bola Amend Tinubu will become Nigeria’s President by 2017 should APC win come this March? Or will Pastor Yemi Osibanjo defile his oath to Tinubu and stay put as the Vice President which will automatically make him the President of Nigeria by 2017? Time will tell. Meanwhile effort have been intensified by Buhari’s immediate family in seeking legal advice on a way to stop APC financiers not to hold Buhari to ransom in case he decides to drop out before election.source >>> http://nigeriabreakingnews.info/b-r-e-a-k-i-n-g-news-buhari-may-drop-out-of-presidential-race-by-himself/

some people are already deing in envy and jealousy |
An Embassy of Biafra has been opened in Victoria, Spain. “It is another milestone in our drive towards Biafra’s restoration,” said a Radio Biafra broadcast from London monitored in Lagos by News Express . The embassy, set up by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was opened on Saturday, Feb. 28, by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra, London. In a prayer at the event, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said: “We your children are gathered here in Vitoria Basque country O’Lord of Hosts, to do that which you have divinely mandated us to do. Today here in Northern Spain we open yet another chapter in this relentless effort to restore your kingdom upon the face of this earth. For the journey mercies you have granted us from all over the world here gathered we remain eternally grateful. From all over the world we have come to establish a firm base in this land from where your will must be done. This year belongs to us Biafrans because in the end all glory and honour will be yours and yours alone. Iseee!” An elated Mazi Kanu yesterday expressed gratitude to God for the success of the event, writing on his Facebook page: “To the most gracious almighty Chukwu Abhiama do we owe all that we are for this journey mercy granted to all hard core Biafrans that attended IPOB mission opening ceremony in Vitoria Basque Country in Spain. Magnificent and merciful creator of the universe, even if we worshipped you from now till eternity we still would not be able to repay you for the grace you have shown we Indigenous People of Biafra for guiding us back to our respective destinations. For those we left behind please guide them to their families in safety that in the end as always all honour and glory will be yours and yours alone because only you is worthy of praise. Your children have asked me to come to Amsterdam Netherlands from where your redeeming gospel of restoration will be preached tonight to the hearing of humanity. Abide with us Heavenly Father as you have always done for we are nothing without you. This family here shall find peace as they all desire that indeed your kingdom Biafra may come on this earth as it is heaven.....Iseee!” •Photo shows the newly opened Biafran Embassy in Spain >>> http://www.newsexpressngr.com/news/detail.php?news=9888&title=Biafra-opens-embassy-in-Portugal

Registered voters in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State have sued the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for its insistence on the use of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). They prayed to be allowed to use the Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs), as they were unable to get the PVCs. In a suit filed on behalf of the voters by Mr. Chinedu Nmezu in the Federal High Court, Owerri, the electorate, among others, said it would amount to a breach of the rights of the people if the commission insisted on the use of the PVC for the elections “when it is obvious that the non-provision of the PVC is INEC’s fault.” The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate, who is from the area, Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho, lamented that it was unbelievable that he did not have the PVC. Ihenacho, who reacted through his media aide, Emperor Iwuala, noted that “it would have been a big embarrassment if the elections had been held earlier.” He said: “Owerri North is a highly- populated area with a high concentration of voters. But as I am talking, our principal does not have his PVC and so are majority of voters.”sourse>>> http://thenationonlineng.net/new/voters-sue-inec/

An enlarged congress of the MOSOP Kingdom Coordinators and Chapter Leaders Forum has overwhelmingly rejected the takeover of Ogoni oilfields by Belema Oil. The decision was taken on Friday during the meeting of the representatives of the MOSOP Kingdom Coordinators and Chapter Leaders Forum from 126 communities in Ogoniland. “The congress condemned the Ogoni Supreme Council of Traditional rulers for ever contemplating the resumption of oil mining activities in Ogoniland in the midst of unresolved issues bothering on the future of the Ogoni,” said a statement signed by Chairman, MOSOP Kingdom Coordinators and Chapter Leaders Forum, Frank Jonah, and Secretary, Bartholomew Oluji. It added: “The congress notes that the Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers is an interest group of government-appointed traditional rulers and so cannot be taken seriously on issues like this where the government stake is high. Our conclusion is that the traditional rulers are only playing to the bidding of the Nigerian Government, their paymasters, whose pedigree in Ogoni hinges on ‘divide and kill for the oil’. “The MOSOP chapter leaders noted that resuming any kind of activities at the Ogoni oilfields without resolving the issues of state creation for the Ogoni people as a distinct group within the Nigerian state, a proper clean-up of Ogoniland, and adequate compensation for the destruction of our environment will lead to another era of state repression and human rights violations in Ogoniland. “We note that the Ogoni people have lost over 10,000 persons to the repression sponsored by the Nigerian state under various military regimes and regret that the situation that led to these killings has not changed under the current civilian regime. “We regret the inability of the Nigerian government to address the fundamental issues raised by the Ogoni people in the Ogoni Bill of Rights over 20 years later, particularly the issues of state creation for the Ogoni and the protection of the Ogoni environment. “We urge the government of Nigeria and the Shell Petroleum Company to clearly understand that the Ogoni problem is like an open wound, the issues have to be resolved and no amount of coercion, blackmail, backdoor conspiracy will subject the people to give up on this very costly struggle for survival.” Source >>> http://radiobiafra.co/index.php/component/k2/item/62073

Unpolished governor of Ekiti state, in western Nigeria, Ayodele Fayose, has released photographs of Major General Muhammadu Buhari, APC presidential candidate, on his ‘hospital bed’ in a ‘Cavendish Hospital’ in London. By the way, Cavendish Road is where the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been staying for more than 21 years. We guess Fayose’s ‘news sources’ must have fooled him, because of his death-wish mindset for Buhari. Since he wants Buhari to die, to make 28 March poll a no-contest for his principal and rigging protector, Goodluck Jonathan, he quickly sucked up to the lie that Buhari checked into the ‘hospital’ in Bola Tinubu’s apartment. We help him here with photographs of Buhari’s days in London since he left Nigeria last Thursday night. Kayode Fayemi (L) with Muhammadu Buhari, (2nd R) at Fayose’s phantom ‘hospital’ Speaker Aminu Tambuwal with Buhari on his ‘sick bed’ Buhari reading newspapers Senator Bukola Saraki, Buhari, Mrs. Saraki and Governor Ibikunle Amosun, all with Buhari, ‘on the hospital bed’ Buhari with Amosun, Tony Blair and Bukola Saraki Culled from The News Magazine http:// thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2015/02/22/ fayose-releases-buharis-photos-in- londons-cavendish-hospital/ source >>> http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/02/22/fayose-releases-buharis-photos-in-london-hospital/

I want to be truthful here atleast for contience concern. I and this girl got acquainted on Facebook and I love her so much and she claim that she loves me too, though we've not seen each other for now. For me am not a play boy to her because i know I've got feelings for her very well and good intention for her, but I asked her if she can wait till i return from where i am now to see her after, she accepted with no doupt even when i asked her to make a choice as in if she can't cope with my absence lets quit but she accepted with no fear. The problem now is that I've come to love her the more but she does not take me serious again. Am I that ugly? Or what should I do?I've given her my whole heart but she doesn't seem to trust me. Tell me what to do my very good friends. |
Great People Of Biafra, My Flesh and Blood, the family of which i am proud to be call mine..My LOVE for Biafra is immeasurable, I love all friends of Biafra lovers of freedom and you all my flesh and blood (BIAFRANS). Today I want us to read and make something out of this Yoruba Liar in the name of (Femi Fani Kayode). After reading his article i want the Biafran's,friends of Biafra and LOVERS of freedom to make something out of it, Kindly reason and act upon that which your Brain can control. My own Analysis to this article bellow as written by this bunch of liar (Femi Fani Kayode) the Yoruba man.even thou he was clamoring for secession to attract Nigeria Government to offer him some money and shut him up, all he said here cannot be put in action because Yoruba's are coward. they have never fought and won any war in History. their land (KWARA STATE) was taken away from them by Hausa's and an EMIR was imposed upon them, currently (Kwara state) Yoruba land is taken away from them by the Hausa/Fulani and (Fani Kayode) and other Yoruba media cannot do anything about it The only source of Nigeria survivor is from (CRUDE OIL), This Crude Oil is located not in the North -#ariwa (Hausa/Fulani) territory, Not in the S/ West #oduduwa (YORUBA) Territory, Its located in # Biafra the OLD EASTERN Region (Biafra) Land, remember that the so called (Birth of Bonny) was Originally known as (The Birth of Biafra) and it was changed after the war,The name S/South is fake, because in the right formation of Cardinal point what we have is (EAST,WEST NORTH AND SOUTH, then in Addition to balance it according to global circle formation, we have EAST,WEST, NORTH and SOUTH then S/EAST, S/WEST, NORTH/EAST and NORTH/ WEST...Before you discredit my argument please look at the Diagram attached to this article ,if there is S/ SOUTH..Why is there no NORTH/ NORTH ![]() Nothing like NORTH CENTRAL, Its a question that One should answer. Nigeria was originally on two formation of (TWO) on Geographical map location. the North and south before it was put together by the British. and then what we had was Northern pot rate and SOUTHERN Pot rates.and in the Southern Pot rate its divided into two according to our linage, the SOUTH East the (BIAFRANS) and the South west the (ODUDUWA'S) Yoruba's people. there is nothing like middle belt, south south in the world cardinal point formation. All that rubbish were man made and must be destroyed as soon as Biafra come. the so call south/south and south East is one family, we are Biafran's, we are one flesh and blood from one linage. The creation of the (SIX ) Geo Political Zones is one of the Divide and Rule tactics of the Nigeria Hausa/Fulani Yoruba Oligarchy,at the same time it is another means of dividing the people of Eastern REGION (Biafra) with our Brothers living along the River line areas, after giving you this little fact of analogy and formation of Nigeria, may i bring to your notice that one of the geo political Zones in the north is made up of (SEVEN) states, while the so called S/East zone is only (FIVE) states. Here the is where word marginalization is made open and clear before the world and no body is talking. I do not want to go far writing much about the evil committed against the IGBO'S (Biafra), let me focus on the lies that is been peddled by this Yoruba man (Femi Fani Kayode). My point is that (Olushegun Obasanjo) the (Yoruba) Man served as Nigeria's military head of state from (13 February 1976 to 30 September 79) 3 years...and serves as a civilian president (1999–2007).= 8 years. put together it is 11 years. then (Ernest Shonekan) is a Yoruba Man who is the 9th President of Nigeria as the interim president ruled Nigeria from 26 August 1993 to 17 November 1993. Bellow is an article where (Fani Kayode) is crying that (Goodluck Ebere Jonathan) Hate the Yoruba's, and he is demanding for equal right and justice over Yoruba race or else Nigeria should seize to exist,( EGBE ONU) meaning # mouthed, They claim they are Yoruba's not (SOUTHERN NIGERIA) .Do you know that in the history of Nigeria that its a Yoruba man HAD THE RECORD of the longest years served as the president of Nigeria?? ,While the Hausa has the highest numbers of Year ruled in Nigeria put together, its in record.Remember that (Igbos) were deported from (Lagos) Yoruba land by their Gov (Babatunde Fashola). Remember that during the three years of War against the Igbos (Biafra) that Yoruba's were schooling , and there was peace all over Yoruba land while the Igbos *(Biafra) were been massacred by Hausas led my (Muritala MUHAMMED) at ASABA (Anioma), (Olushegun Obasonjo) from Portharcourt (Igweocha) , Muhammad Buhari at (OWERRI).and many others. Do you know that after the war, The (Reintegration, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction) 3RS FUND meant to rebuild Igbo land (Biafra) where the war was fought Was diverted to build Lagos by a Yoruba man (Obafmi AWOLOWO) Who was the finance minister then. Do you know that it's only (Six) months that an IGBO man (Aguiyironsi) have ruled Nigeria as the HEAD of STATE,Apart from (ZIK) who was a ceremonial President, and he (Aguiyi) was killed on the seat of power, Bellow you can read and make something out of this article, thank you as you read and know who is cheating who and who should stand up to fight for his freedom ??. ............................................. ............................................. ...................... President Goodluck Jonathan and those within his inner circle simply hate the Yoruba. And we the yoruba did not resist, fight and defeat the hegemony of other nationalities in the last 100 years just for it to be replaced with Ijaw domination. I have said it before and I will say it again, if we cannot have a level playing field for all tribes, all religions and all nationalities in Nigeria and if we cannot all be treated as equals then let Nigeria cease to exist. If you want Nigeria to continue to remain as one country into the distant future there must be no more ''masters'' and no more ''servants''. If we cannot be treated as equals we the yoruba will forcefully resist the tyranny of our oppressors and we will scuttle and sabotage this man-made geographical expression called Nigeria until it ceases to exist. And if, in the misguided and confused minds of some, that makes us tribalists or ethnic supremacists so be it. We cannot be held back from our natural pace of development anymore. We cannot allow the natural excellence of the yoruba to be sacrificed on the alter of Nigeria. We cannot allow the gains and massive contributions of our forefathers and our heroes past to be treated with contempt and ridicule or to be squandered and to be in vain.Nigeria is 100 years old this year. It is time for us to decide whether we want to stay together for another 100 years or whether we want to go our separate ways within the next five years. It is time for us to decide whether we want to be the captain of our ship and the master of our soul or the spineless and perpetual serfs of those that come from other climes. ............................................. ............................................. .....................
