I prayed is not nipost because they will frustrate you, you will be the one going up and down looking for your package in all nearby post office, and when you find your package they will extort you, and if your package is boxy even with no weight, they will start from high price, and there comes your negotiating skills, oshodi post office is one example it happens to me earlier this year when I was charged 15k to collect an item at the post office, I said I was not paying a dime and they refused to gave my item to me, registered package ooo, then after heated argument they said I should pay 5k, saying is not a small package even seeing how lite it was, they were even asking what inside, imagine the level of corruption, no receipt, I wanted to pay but no account, they insist I must bring out cash, I have to use the POS,the argument starts with the young lady at the front desk and when the lady was blabbering and couldn't defend the money they want to extort and completely ridiculous and out of point, the older lady stepped in, I think she's their superior she always wear eye glasses, seeing how angry I was, through my address she started describing my street telling me about isolo, how that one take concern me abeg, she lives around isolo because I have met her in the bus before,, oshodi post office is worst than I could imagine, funny enough, I'm living at isolo I supposed received my item at isolo post office, but they intercept it at oshodi refused to dispatch to isolo as usual, imagine after searching for it at isolo post office no avail, na oshodi post office dey call me for my package and ask me to come along with 15k, if it's was a very small items and they know they can't get much from it, there words is always where did you live, go to your post office.

The $605 phone I ordered in early November has just been delivered by Speedaf. I was initially concerned after reading the customs-duty experiences shared in this thread, but I proceeded with the purchase because all my 2025 orders have been successfully delivered through Speedaf only.

The AliExpress review system is totally broken now.
I ordered a charger with a 4.9 rating during the 11/11 sales. I clicked on the same charger and discovered that the rating is now 4.6.
I got curious and I started running through the reviews, then I realised that a lot of 1-star reviews that weren't present when I ordered the product had suddenly appeared. Looking at the dates that the reviews were posted, they were apparently hidden during the 11/11 sales, considering that I took my time to go through the 1 star reviews before ordering and I didn't see anything of such.

This is another good example.
The first screenshot is the advertised product ( 90 degree cables) while the second one has the reviews. It's obvious that the cables are not the same

My advice to AE users is to always go for brand item.
In the cables/charger category, Baseus, Essager, kuulaa, VENTION, Toocki, are some trusted few... It is good to check reviews, but also opt for brand products.

The best option is to meet the head of your post office and let them know the situation, they will assist in the reaccessing of the item.
Also have ready, the order invoice from the seller, as it will be attached as evidence of purchase.

You don't necessarily have to buy "on sale" item.
Some times items not having the sales tag have better savings than sales item, after coupons are applied.

Also do you have any idea who is facilitating delivery to you here in Nigeria. It's makes sense to assume they should be the one to handle all of POS Malaysia's delivery. If you find out kindly let us know so some of use with pending delivery can reach out directly to them.

This is how you ask sellers to know where they are shipping from before you proceed. If they tell you Malaysia or Netherland(better than Malay tho) runnnnnnnnnn like a mad man.

Not necessarily so. These couriers are just companies operating in China.
You will be shocked to find your item has been shipped through Malaysia post.

AliExpress merchants do not have the discretion to decide which courier handles shipping on item sold

Nah, out of 5, only this one is Malaysia post, the rest is SingPost.
2 has been delivered, 1 is at my post office(the one with custom issue), the last one is yet to be cleared at custom.

They valued the item to be ₦500,000. Duty at 10% rate.
I wonder how they still ended up at that amount.
From the the attached Pic below, you can see the official who prepared it was just writing numbers without highlighting what it's for, for example C.I.F=₦500.
Nothing of such.
I will post elaborately when I pick the item next week.

The custom officer that the boss at mmia nahco directed me to, was saying they will reduce it to ₦30,000.
I said I can't pay that, so he replied they will work on it.

The person I spoke with was suggesting a review to lower the duty charge, but I insisted that a $70 phone should be duty free. He in turn said any phone, as long it's new, it will attract custom duty.
I then asked him, what is the percentage charge in calculating duty? To which he replied that he will have to check.

Thing is, Nigeria is messed up in every sector. Wrong people occupying key position in government parastatal.
